"Convenient and reasonable"
Its all about expectations and I got about what I expected. Free wifi and breakfast are nice perks. The hotel is located right next to the freeway but you can't hear said freeway (from the back anyway) and right across from restaurants and grocery. "Not Comfort Inn's best property"
My first impression of the hotel was from the car and it looked like a very nice property. However, as I approached the building and pulled the door open I was met with an overwhelming odor of stale tobacco smoke. I'm not generally fussy about this but it was unusually strong. The room itself was roomy and the bed was comfortable. But the carpet had […] holes in it and the bed cover had a large burn hole in it. I wanted to open a window for some fresh air but of the two windows only the one with no screen on it would stay open, the other one was broken. If I was going to stay for more than one night I would have insisted on a different room or perhaps even a different hotel. Checked in and after being double charged after paying full cost to hotels.com and spending over a half hour while they called the hrlp desk had to move from room that didnt have heat. The receptionist even knew it didnt, but wanted me to check it out myself. Room I changed to had broken blowdryer, no functioning iron, coffee pot was dirty, tub was […] nasty. Not a fun experience, not compensated, and staff the most unhelpful ever, except Sandy was very sweet. I will NEVER stay here or recommend this for my many stays in auburn, what an overpriced dump!! Motel is conveniently located for restaraunts and freeway access. Surprisingly quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. My daughter and I stayed there 3 nights. The staff was very nice. There was a gentleman there that hung around and had the same clothes on for all 4 days while I was there and he was always around! This is a basic decent motel, nothing fancy but clean and adequate. Old town Auburn is just a few miles down the road, and there's a supermarket, gas stations, fast food very close. Terrible nights sleep. Window AC units were un-normally loud, keeping me up. I tried to turn off and open the windows, but was awaken by passing train blasting horns. Hotel was conveniently located across from denny's and its a good thing! The breakfast offered by the Hotel is very limited and unappealing.
