Very clean property, front desk staff very nice, the room was spotless, just very small for more than a night. It was a very spotless updated clean room with a very comfortable clean bed, right by the ocean. Good value for $69!

My husband anr I came to san diego for our wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time! The hotel was clean, the staff was nice and helpful,and they are dog friendly (without all the fees). We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good experience and we will definitely be staying here in the future:)

Rooms are well appointed (free wifi, fridge, microwave) even though overall motel feels/looks old. Lots of noise from outside. Decent location. Would probably stay again for a short visit.

The location wasnt bad. This room was extremely small!!!! No room to walk around or even extra space between the bathroom door and the bed. I could hear the people above me walking around all night! Don't stay here just because of the price, not a good option. Don't take your honey here for a romantic getaway!

Overall the stay was ok, but we had no extra rolls of toilet paper and ran out for there was four of us staying in the room. The roon was clean the first night we were there, but the second night when we got back, the bathroom floor was dirty, as was our beds. The rooms are very tiny, and the walls are pretty thin, so I was able to hear someone speaking in another room, and it didn't sound like they were shouting. The surrounding area is a lot of car dealerships, so there were loud trucks each morning. The location was great though, and the free breakfast wasn't bad.

The outside of the hotel is not the best I've seen for Red Roof Inns but for the price it was fine for our visit. The rooms are super tiny but very clean!! Dirty parking lot and a noisy guest in the room next door one night. Overall, I good location, easy to get in and out of, no-frills hotel. I liked the wood floors. Pet friendly. Hot showers, firm beds, no bugs, and good lighting.

Good price and a pretty good breakfast. It says continental but you actually get toaster waffles and oatmeal, coffee, tea, cereal, bagels, and muffins. Small room but it was only $65. The only bummer was the heater which had to be on was loud while I was sleeping but a good stay overall.

Hardwood floors had clumps of hair roaming about. The floor under the bathtub was spotty. Obvious there is rot and the floor is falling away. Scary taking a showering wondering if the tub is gonna fall through. Breakfast was not breakfast. Very disappointing.

It's a compact hotel to use for both business and private. Price rate is reasonable, and very good place to go to anyhwere. the room is quite tiny, but cleaness is okay. Breakfast is good as well.

The hotel didnt get a Very Satisfied from me because it was a 2 star hotel and had standards just like that of a 2-star. Nothing more nothing less. The hotel is just 3-4 miles from Sea world. The location is simple , more like outskirts of a city. They didnt have dedicated housekeeping (or rather no one turned up to our room), so we were asked to collect […] stuffs (like toothpaste) from front desk directly. The free breakfast was too good. They served bagels, donuts, cupcakes, cereals, coffee and juice. So it was a typical american breakfast. The beds were a bit hard and there were only 2-pillows per bed. But we didnt have any trouble sleeping after a tired drive from San Jose and next day after sea world. The computer system was running slow when we checked in, according to the front desk. As a result, check-in took an unnecessarily long time. On the second night, our door lock stopped working. We had to be switched to another room (without our bags, which were locked in our first room.) Originally made a reservation for 1 night, but when we decided to stay an extra night we were able to do so without any issues. I've stayed at red roof inn in Phoenix which was very outdated and old. The red roof san diego while older seems to be maintained and have a few upgrades. The wood paneling floors was nice and the beds were comfortable, but […] the chords for the tv looked jenky and a bit of an eye sore. The room came with a fridge and a microwave which was nice, but their placement of being below the table was odd and annoying.
