Legend Hotel Sultanahmet - Istanbul

The hotel is in a fantastic location, perfect for all the tourist musts in the area. However, for the price we paid I was appalled by the service we received. On arrival mid-afternoon, we were told there was a problem with the booking service and they had overbooked. We were given a double room with an 'extra bed'. Having paid the extra for a triple […] as there were 3 adults, this was completely unacceptable. The room itself was very small, the extra bed was not fit for an adult and was incredibly uncomfortable and the bathroom had a terrible drain smell. We were advised by the Manager that if we were not happy he would change our room the following day so we agreed to make do with this arrangement for one night. Unfortunately the staff the next day were completely unhelpful and could not change the room as they had overbooked again. They were aggressive and rude when we were explaining why we were unhappy and it generally changed the mood of our trip. We were made to feel like we were an inconvenience to the staff. The Manager told us he had never agreed to change our room and could not understand what our problem was. Hotels.com were great and have helped us a lot but I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel - if you have a problem, they certainly will not help, even if it is the fault of the hotel! Over all, nice stay, very good location, near to most of touristic places, and very reasonable price. i recommend highly bit old, water pipes noise in the room. Have a very nice roof top, with perfect scenery.

Carpets were worn to threads, wall paper and colors very very old and outdated, shower door broken, laminate on desk peeling off, and the breakfast was poor. The staff was very helpful answering questions and arranging van to and from airport.

We had a great stay. I stayed there 3 different times while I was in Turkey for a few weeks. The staff was very helpful and always available. They arranged taxi's, suggested good places to eat, etc. You really can't beat the location, especially for the price. Only one negative thing was that a neighbor had a dog that barked some during the day and you could hear it if you stayed on the side of the hotel facing the courtyard. Terrace view of the Bosphorous is very special with fantastic views ! The staff is very friendly and outstanding. Walking distance to Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topaki Palace The bazaar and many other attractions. Must visit Princess Island however save money by going yourself rather than paying extra money for cruise. Location is excellent, close to everything. Staff were really nice and helpful. We wouldn't have found it though without a gps. Friday afternoon traffic is horrific and avoid if possible. Overall, highly recommended!

This hotel, a short walk to the Blue Mosque, has a killer view from the top floor breakfast room. Take your camera and go up the stairs to the roof for spectacular views of the waterfront and old city. Staff is very helpful. Hotel is simple but perfectly adequate. Be sure you have driving directions if you take a cab.

They tried to fob us off with a tiny (single?) room at first, but moved us as soon as we complained and later service from reception was good. (A similar thing happened 14 years ago in a Sultanahmet hotel) The buffet breakfast was good and the breakfast room and roof terrace had great views over the Sea of Marmaris.

I really liked it. clean, good and helpful staff and in a nice neighborhood... I just hope that the cleaners of the rooms would knock the door before they open it because they opened the door on me twice without knocking and I was sleeping, so I thought that was not comfortable at all

Läget på hotellet kan inte vara bättre gångavstånd till allt man ska se o göra. Trevlig personal, bra frukost helt ok rum. Vi var tre vuxna i ett så lite trångt så klart. Kan varmt rekommendera detta för er som inte vill lägga alla pengar på boende/ Madeleine o två väninnor från Göteborg som säger ÅK till Istanbul

Sjarmerende hotell med topp beliggenhet i gamlebyen. Servicen var bra, renholdet bra, men noe av det som trekker ned er svært ukomfortable senger. Prøvde to rom og det var like dårlig på begge. Likevel et ok alternativ.

Eenvoudig hotel, maar alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. en het uitzicht vanuit de ontbijtkamer (4e verdieping) maakt kleine tekortkomingen helemaal goed! Het ontbijt is prima verzorgd. De ligging is perfect, dichtbij blue mosk en grand bazaar. Vriendelijk voor kinderen.

Bonjour séjour du 12 au 19 mai 2012. Facilité de communication avec les gens de l'hôtel, toujours quelqu'un de présent, jour et nuit. Le service omniprésent. Hôtel très bien placé géographiquement. Très satisfaits de notre séjour.

トラムの駅から至近なことに加え、ブルーモスク、グランドバザール等主要な観光地へも徒歩圏内でした。また、スーパーマーケットも２～３軒あり、滞在に不便は感じませんでした。 最上階の部屋だったため、エレベータは階下から階段になったこと、レストランと同フロアでスタッフや利用客の雑踏が聞こえること、部屋の暖房がいまいち（ブランケットはあったが）ではありましたが、フレンドリーで親切なスタッフの応対、そして何より眺めのよさはおススメできるかと思います。 価格のわりに満足できました。

Vicinissimo alla rete tramviaria permette di raggiungere il resto della città con estrema facilità. Colazione spartana ma sufficiente. Et desværre meget nedslidt hotel, men men en perfekt beliggenhed, hvis man vil bo i det gamle Istanbul. Sødt og rart personale, ville gerne skrive navne, men må jeg ikke. Hjælpsomme og søde mennesker. Fantastisk udsigt fra tagterressen og fra restauranten på 4. sal. Morgenmaden kunne være bedre, men der var hvad der skulle være.

Ottima posizione (si trova realmente a meno di 2 min a piedi dalla moschea Blu) con una discreta qualità degli alloggi. Pesonale affabile e cordiale. Colazione buona ed abbondante da poter consumare in terrazza con vista mozzafiato sulla Moschea Blu e sul mare di Marmara. Nel complesso una ottima base per la visita di Istanbul.

Das Legend Hotel liegt im quirligen Altstadtviertel Sultanahmet, in unmittelbarer Nähe der Blauen Moschee, der Hagia Sophia, der Zisterne und allem, was der Reiseführer so empfiehlt. Damit war unserem Prinzip, eine fremde Stadt möglichst zu Fuß zu erkunden in idealer Weise Genüge getan. Das Hotel war sauber, die Angestellten außerst höflich und zuvorkommend. […] Frühstück wurde auf der verglasten Terasse eingenommen, von der sich der Blick auf die Blaue Moschee und das Marmara Meer eröffnete. Leider war das Frühstück selbst etwas einfallslos, dafür aber reichlich. Der Kaffee ist nicht zu empfehlen. Leider lag unser Zimmer zur Straße und damit genau gegenüber von einem Supermarkt, der nicht nur bis 22.00 geöffnet hatte, sondern danach noch bis Mitternacht beliefert wurde. Ebenso störend waren die jungen Leute aus dem in der Nachbarschaft liegenden Hostel. Und dem Rufen des Muezzins kann man ohnehin nicht entkommen. Noch ein Tip: Niemals ein Doppelzimmer buchen, wenn man Platz und eine Decke für sich haben möchte. Das bekommt man nur im Twin-Zimmer, das sind zwei Einzelbetten. Pročitajte više
