"Nice area to stay"
Reasonably good at the price I paid. The area the hotel located is quite nice. Restaurants are near by. 7/11 is just opposite. Breakfast is not great but reasonable at the price I paid. Service is not super but people there is helpful. There are only 2 lifts to serve the whole hotel, you have to wait for a while especially when a big group coming in […] after check-in. The room interior is not attractive and looks no maintenance at some area but the cleaning lady does a good job. It will be my next choice if I dont want to stay in a 5-star hotel in Singapore. "SUPER hotel w Great Amenities and Wonderful Staff"
Adding this POSITIVE review for Gallery, since I read bad reviews Before booking, and was apprehensive about the (1) staff, (2) charges, (3) location and (4) amenties; Instead I was VERY HAPPY w my stay. Unlike a few reviews that said staff were uncaring, I was greeted with SMILING staff who let us check-in Early (for FREE), and also did not charge […] extra for an extra child (ie, did NOT make us pay for an extra bed since we didn't need it). And, the concierge went out of his way to help us w luggage, explain unique controls in the room, and find Singapore activities to do (even if some were 'free' for us and so no-commission for him). Even though the Gallery is not on the "SIA HopOn-HopOff" bus-path nor in front of the MRT, the concierge showed us the shortcut of how to go over the bridge in the back to get to the Miramar Hotel (which as an SIA stop) about 5 min walk. The location was also convenient for getting a quick and LOW-COST breakfast as a 7-11 is across the street. Regarding amenities and atmosphere and size, the room seemed BIG (compared to European hotels), the atmosphere was like a 4-star hotel (not too stuffy but not at all ugly), and WOW on the amenties (free room-mini-bar, Very Generous TOILETRY kit w a nail file, shaver, toothbrush). "Decent place to stay in Singapore"
The hotel is decent and clean. Some of the room furnishings are all little tired, and the hallways need a coat of paint. I wish the Breakfast was complimentary, as it is it is quite good, but expensive. The wifi sign on is unreliable and unnecessarily complicated, but then again I have yet to see any hotel wifi that doesn't suck. I stays in a glazzhaus […] room and found it to be a nice size. With all the standard amenities. The value for Singapore is excellent, and the wired broadband in the rooms is incredible. It is clean, and has a great location. 10 minute walk to Orchard road, and the walk along the river to Marina bay is great fun. Good place to stay, I would stay here again. "Lovely hotel for a relaxing stay"
The hotel is well situated and close to the riverside buzzing with restaurants and bars, although a bit too touristic if you are willing to discover true Singapore. Wished the breakfast had been included but we found a local bar where all the expats meet up. Wifi Internet was good and free minibar was a nice surprise. Outdoor Swimming pool is not massive […] but convenient enough and funky situated high up in the building. Staff are very attentive and design is very originally Art Deco. Room was clean. Quite good value for money as Singapore can be expensive. Location maybe a little far from the attractions but within shorter distance to airport. Would return and recommend. "What is not excellent about this hotel?"
This hotel has an incredible house-keeping service. They kept my room clean every day. It really felt like I never left home. The bell boy/porter, or in other words the person that would help with your luggage, was very friendly and kind. The mini bar would be refilled every day with no charge! in a bad location where you have to taxi everywhere, closet MRT is 20 min walk away. Price is also expensive for the small room. Bed is very small, bathroom has weird door design. Wifi is a pain since you have log on every time...2 elevators to your room, gym looks nice but the pool is very small and shallow.. for slightly more you can stay at hotels […] around city hall or clarke quay...there is nothing but expensive bars around this hotel..no 7/11 store close by. "Great location"
The hotel is located at the Robertson Quay area, which means you get plenty of restaurants and places to chill till late night. Em by the River on level 1, by the canal serves great breakfast in the mornings. However, the room was a disappointment. Carpet was old and dirty, towels were tattered and furnitures look dated. The control panel for the room […] happened to be on the headboard of the bed, which can be annoying. Imagine red lights emitting right above your head when you are trying to fall asleep. This could be a good hotel to stay if you are looking for convenience and places to chill late night, yet not particular about comfort of the rooms. "Okay hotel."
An okay hotel with a great locality if you like to have different restaurants just outside your door and walking distance to city center. It claims to be a four stared hotel and the price also shows that, however I would not in a million years rate it as a four stared hotel. It needs some fixings, the walls are scratched and the rooms seems as if they […] could need a little fixing. But generally this hotel is okay with a superb location. "Ok for business"
Our first room was fairly standard and looking a little tired. The bathroom was miniscule with the toilet stuck behind the door and there was virtually no room on the bench top for any male toiletries, let alone female! We then upgraded to an executive suite, which was much, much better in all respects, although it was a very expensive upgrade.
