The main thing and the worst part was I had to stand in line on Saturday evening for AT LEAST 20 minutes for check in because there was only one person working at the desk and the hotel was full--therefore he was the ONLY person checking everyone in. I've NEVER had this experience before and I stay in hotels often for my business. We have stayed at the Goodnite Inn overnight many times on our way to San Francisco. The hotel has never been grade A but it has gone down considerably since our last visit. It needs to be updated and cleaned more thoroughly. First thing we noticed was that the elevator was dirty. The furniture in the room and the rug were old and worn out. The TV was […] old and there weren't enough outlets. WiFi was weak and was charged for. The beds were worn out. There is no hair dryer or coffee maker.The good things were that the sheets were clean and the bathroom was also clean and had enough towels. Room smelled awful. After we aired out the room, closed the window and door and turned on heater, burning dust smell filled room. Had to air room out again. Heater kept turning off with room still cold. Carpet had big ugly stains. When we got in bed, covers stank and felt dirty. We had to sleep on towels. In the morning the room stank again, probably […] from the dirty bedding or whatever was stained on carpets, or both. The room never should have been rented to guests in this condition. There also were rude and scary guests talking loud outside in the night and early morning, making us afraid to leave the room. We wanted a refund. We won't be back. I stayed for almost a month and I liked it. For a "cheap" motel its GREAT... the staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well kept nothing unusual... Unlike some other hotels the wall insulation sound proofing is very good, I slept through the whole night, every night, the mattress was newer. Suddenly every stay here has been disturbed by loud foul-mouthed people, and the police have been here three times in five days taking people from the hotel for fighting, breaking guest room windows, and disturbing the peace. They were told to leave about 1 a.m. after waking people, talking loudly. This seemed like a nice quiet place and safe to bring a family, until the past few days. "Worrisome incident and response"
Basic room, clean, bed okay, pillows flat. No appliances except clock radio and older TV, not many channels, some sound/picture problems. Heater heated well, but a few minutes after we turned it off, its fan turned itself on, blew freezing air into room. We were awakened in middle of the night by shouting and glass breaking. Someone broke a room's windows. […] Police responded quickly, but the following day there was broken glass around the grounds, and the broken window didn't get replaced for two days.
