Very good family hotel with their own arcade including pool table's, bowling and other games and play areas for even small children.Service at hotel are very good, and with 4 restaurants incide the hotel, you are very well off. Distance to Taj Mahal only 5-8 minutes by car, but not walking distance. Very good hotel, absolutely recomended

Lovely location and hotel is wonderful.. Pity the staff did not understand what the do not disturb sign was for. Got woken up at 8.00am with staff wanting to clean the room even though we had a do not disturb sign on the foot.

the hotel is massive. when u enter the hotel, its almost 5 to 8 minutes walk to your room, if the room is in the palace wing (level 6). cant thing of a bad thing about the hotel.

Stayed here 1 night and loved it. Great furniture, decor, and comfortable bed. Spacious room. Big hotel, super clean. Breakfast buffet was good but needed more "local" Indian items. Ate dinner at the Indian restaurant in hotel, super expensive. I would suggest eating out.

Room is clean with garden view; Bathroom also nice with good shower. Service is a big issue though – examples – when u land in hotel, u expect concierge however we kept waiting for 5 mins and then asked the hotel staff who was standing right there but didn't bother to help, and finally they did help. Check in and Check out takes some time (15-20 mins) […] as the staff looks confused. After you enter into hotel, you have to ask for check-in counters, no one to guide and it's not obvious as you see T way when u enter. Positives: Brand new hotel in Agra and clean Marbles floors through out Shower is good Negatives: Staff is poorly trained. No hair dryer & conditioner in room. Shampoo doesn't contain conditioner (trust me u need it in Agra as Agra has hard water). modern hotel with all amenities. weddings were held at hotel while we were there, a bit noisy but enjoyed the spectacle of the Indian wedding and the music stopped at midnight so no problem sleeping.

This hotel was an incredible retreat from the hustle and bustle of India. My boyfriend and I had been staying at small guesthouses but decided to treat ourselves to the Jaypee Palace after we got engaged (at the Taj Mahal, no less). He wasn't willing to help book our train tickets to Amritsar. We ended up going to the train station ourselves and booking the tickets that day. The Chinese restaurant was incredible and a nice change after gorging ourselves on Indian food for 30 days. The staff was very friendly and recommended the best dishes. The continental breakfast was also very delicious with a wide array of options. The hotel is surrounded by a huge wall and guards. We felt very safe and didn't hear any of the outside noise. While we encourage guests to go out and enjoy India at its finest, it was very nice to spend a couple quiet, relaxing days at the Jaypee. Our advice: walk or take a rickshaw to the Taj Mahal. The hotel is in stark contrast to the surrounding areas and streets and is purely a diamond on a shore of dull pebbles. I have never stayed in a hotel with this degree of sincere service by very well trained and articulate staff who did their best to anticipate my every possible comfort. I rarely turned a corner without being greeted by someone who […] just wanted to say Hi and they never failed to always acknowldge my presence and comfort requirement. I simply cannot wait to visit Agra again and will definitely stay at the same hotel and I hope the same staff are there next time, but if not, I'm sure I can expect the same sincerity and humble professionalism I experienced this trip. It is a very nice hotel which every one will enjoy. Special attention has been given to activities like puppet show , bowling , pool hockey etc which children will like the most . The spread for breakfast and dinner was also lavish.

the property is lovely and this was my second visit. however, the service quality was pathetic. it took us 1 hour to check-in and one hour to check-out.....this is when we were standing at the desk and requesting the staff to hurry things along. one of us got a room which was already occupied.....imagine the horror of the occupants when we barged in!!!!!! […] they gave twin bed rooms to couples and double bed to two bachelors (while we specifically booked for twin rooms). pathetic service in an otherwise good property. The Beds are hard and give you a back ache. Avoid eating breakfast at their resturant on a Sunday morning, it's scary and the staff is not at all trained to manage and handle big group of people. This was a great hotel, that I used while staying in Agra on vacation. The hotel and the facilities were great, especially for the price. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I think the hotel and it's facilities would be suitable for a wide variety of travellers; including couples, business travellers and families.

The ac in the room wasn't effective in the heat. Had to switch on the fan even the corridors were warm!!!! The hotel is too wide spread, takes forever to reach anywhere. They need to redo the rooms, the corridors and the airconditioning plant.

As I have seen from other reviews and now have to agree this is not a five star hotel. Although impressive looking in the grounds and common areas the rooms are not probably what I would expect even from four star although far from unpleasant. The bathroom although functional was a bit grubby looking and could do with updating, the flooring in the room […] was the cheapest of laminates that i'm sure I remember putting down when laminate first started appearing everywhere but like the stuff I bought this wore down quickly and looked a bit shabby, lastly I had a tv which was as deep as it was wide, proper old skool. This however all makes it sound like a negative experience however other than spending a little money updating the room is was very clean and comfortable and for the price had no complaints. I think most people would use this as a base to do the sightseeing thing as I did which only being there for the weekend and having done no real planning of any kind could have been a bad move however the travel desk at the hotel with one phone call sorted everything out arranged a private car and guide to take me round everything I wanted to see. Although this was not exactly cheap due to my lazy nature and being alone it was the only way was going to do anything, think all in was about £50 for a half day with 5:30am start as ridicuhot in the afternoon and can't be doing with the crowds. Our stay at Jaypee was really, really nice! The rooms were very nice with an amazing patio opening out onto a well kept manicured lawn and shrubbery. The beds were hard and I think need replacing but I slept well both nights. The Indian restaurant had live Indian music which was romantic and enjoyable. The hotel also has an amazing entertainment area […] with bowling, arcade, pool, air hockey etc. We didn't use this but travelers with kids would enjoy this for sure. The business center was a bit lacking but I didn't really use it. The Indian restaurant also had very delicious food though the red wine was limited to two types :( The breakfast was nice with western or Indian to choose from. There was also a very cute puppet show in the evening which was very funny and worthwhile, even for adults. Overall, Jaypee was probably the best valued hotel I have stayed at. The price was reasonable and the service suberb. The only negative was the beds. The hotel also looks a lot older than it is but it was extremely well kept and maintained and had a very elegant and nice feel to it. Lastly, we hired a taxi from Agra for both days we were in Agra. It was very worthwhile and reasonable cost. It was nice to have a car available at our beck and call and our driver showed us parts of Agra that we otherwise may not have seen such as rug weaving, marble inlay work and henna. Service exceptional. When I was ill the housekeeping staff sent a get well note, a flower and hot water bottle. Rooms were very comfortable. Spa services brilliant. Choice of restaurants great. Loved the casual entertainment area complete with bowling alley
