Weren't prepared for the inability to at least place our suitcases so we could move about. Room was a few meters to small.Too much "late night " activity on our floor. People just dropping in for the night. All staff was very helpful. Location was great.

I have never seen a smaller hotel room in my life. The room was smaller than a college dorm room and not soundproof whatsoever. I could hear everything that my travel partner was doing in the bathroom AND a lot of what the neighbor across the hallway was doing in his bathroom. The hotel was close to the Eiffel Tower but it wasn't really that close to any of the other attractions we wanted to see. There is a market across the street and a number of restaurants within close walking distance, so that was a plus. The day staff at the hotel was very friendly but the night attendant was kind of lousy. We had an issue with the television in our room. We called the desk attendant for assistance. He said he would be along in ten minutes to help. A half hour later, he still hadn't shown up so we went to the front desk to see what the hold up was. He was on a personal call on his cell phone, assumedly to his wife or girlfriend as there was a screaming child in the background. We asked him to look at the television while we were at dinner. He said he would. We returned two hours later and he was still on his cell phone. He hadn't been to our room to fix the television. We stayed from March 15th-19th 2013. We arrived via train from Gare Du Nord and took a taxi which cost 15 Euro. We carried two big bags and after our stay in London we weren't interested in hauling them up and down the stairs of the Metro. Our small flat screen tv only had one station that could be subtitled with English, but we weren't in the room much to even watch TV. The bathroom was great, shower had plenty of hot water and included free toiletries. The room was cleaned everyday which made it nice after a long day of walking throughout Paris. One thing that wasn't too great was the free wifi. It might've been related to the location of our room, but our reception was very poor and not adequate enough to facetime our kids back in the US. Book THIS hotel!!!! This was our 5th stay in Paris and the first time we've found a hotel we were happy with. We had a double room and although very tiny (as expected of hotels in Paris) the space was utilized very efficiently. I wouldn't suggest staying there with kids or more than 2 people a room to be accommodated comfortably or book the superior dbl. It was very clean, but it takes a pretty immaculate level for me to grant a 5 star in this category. The bed was firm and the hotel staff was nice. Although I am well traveled and expect a language barrier, the staff's English wasn't as great as I've experienced elsewhere. The comfort of our room gets 4 stars because although you expect small and they did utilize the space well, there was literally nowhere to get ready and put makeup on/blow-dry my hair (I'm guessing the place was designed by a man). If you are looking for a great location this is the PERFECT hotel. It is two blocks from the Eco Militarie metro stop (purple line and THE closest stop to the Eiffel tower) and there is a grocery store literally right across the street and a cheese shop and a cheese just a few stores down. I think that the hotel is overpriced. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable, and the rooms are tiny with barely any space to walk. There was no place to put your luggage and we had to use our suitcase as a drawer. The staff is not very understanding and not big on customer service. You won't be doing any in-room excercising since there's not enough floor space, but that's what the Paris sights and walking are for. Eat at the cafe/restaurants just outside the door of the hotel. Although not large, our room was very adequate for two people and compactly designed with a modern, ensuite bathroom, independent thermostat and an operable French window. The bed was very comfortable and the linens snowy white. The maid service was excellent and unobtrusive. The breakfast room was probably once a wine cave or something of the sort, with white-painted brick walls and soft, indirect lighting. The breakfast menu included yogurt, fruit, assorted cereals, a cook-it-yourself egg cooker for making soft-hard-cooked eggs, a variety of breads, pastries and juices and a dispenser for coffee, cafe au lait, hot chocolate or hot water. For the most part I was happy. The housekeeper moved some of my thing around when she cleaned and I am very attached to my things wish she wouldn't have done that.
