Clean, comfortable king bed, sufficient breakfast and easy to find.

Front desk people were wonderful. The mattress was great; had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good but could have been warmer. I booked through an online sight and thought I was getting a double which turned out to be unavailble once we arrived and I had to settle for a king. I was close to the sights I wanted to see. I decided to stay at the Holiday inn for 3 reasons: location, word of mouth, and hotels.com reviews.The hotel staff was very nice, the only thing that was a disturbance were the amount of kids there, but that was expected due to schools being on vacation. The casino is very close by. We had dinner at the S&P restaurant in downtown Mystic.... Delicious!!!! […] We ordered lobster tacos, baked seafood platter and clam chowder(OMG!!!) Great personnel but very few employees. The same person checks in, checks AC trouble in room, puts towels in swimming pool, and serves the breakfast. While the service is nice but the lack of personnel compromises the hotel' s reputation.

Stayed at The Holiday Inn Express in Mystic Conn. for 3 nights. (Short vacation) This hotel was exceptional in every aspect. I traveled with my daughter and a friend and her daughter....it was a great stay! The rooms were clean and breakfast was great! The pool was fun for all!! We are planning a trip back soon!

Great location, clean room, nicely priced. My kids (13,10,3) had a blast staying here the night before our aquarium visit during February vacation. The only small complaint I have is that the tile around the pool is very slippery. Most kids navigated it fine but my three year old slipped a couple times and he was walking with care. Was a very comforting stay as well as relaxing nice area to be in 15min from foxwoods rooms and service werenice as well would definetly stay here again

the reception at front desk was helpful and polite.the hot tub had not been properly cleaned and the toilet was not clean.however the bed was extremely comfortable and the rest of the room was well kept.also there was a complimentary bottle of Brut champagne in the mini fridge and that was nice.the downstairs pool and hot tub was very nice but the hot […] tub in the room was VERY small and had an awkward shape that was not comfortable for one person let alone both i and my husband.actually only a small child would have found it satisfactory as it had an odd triangular shape.i did pay extra for this feature and only attempted its use one time then had to give up on it.the location of the hotel is excellent as it is only 20 minutes from foxwoods casino and 10 minutes from mystic pizza.The complimentary continental breakfast was very nice and the hours it was offered were lax and that is always nice.I give this establishment a 6 out of 10 for the money.if i were to stay here again i would just get a regular room and forgo the hot tub. The staff was very accomodating. We loved the pool, the breakfast was great, and the proximity to Mystic Village was fantastic. As we walked in, we were impressed by the atmosphere in the lobby. The holiday decor and lit fireplace were very welcoming. The whole experience was also a great value.

Hotel was very nice and clean, we were going to Foxwoods and was not far, right off of 95 so very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

The king size bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby.Hotel is close to major highway and easy to get to once you exit. I am looking forward to staying again.

The hotel is less than a 1/2 mile from the hiighway exit - but far enough away to not even notice. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast bar was replentished as needed and staff responsive.They kept the breakfast area clean and emptied the trash as needed. This may not seem like a big deal, but we have stayed at numerous […] places where the hotel was slow in bringing out fresh food, overflowing trash bins and leaving the tables dirty for the next family. This hotel had free internet access and free use of the printer. Our only issues were that we left to do local sightseeing at 9:30 and when we returned to our room at 2:00 pm it had yet to be cleaned. When we pointed this out to the front desk, they did have someone clean the room farily soon. The pool and hot tub is old and needs to be updated. We had planned on swimming, but decided not to after a look at the pool. In close proximity to the waterfront, many quaint shops across the street. The Steakhouse across the street is large with a good menu and good food and reasonable prices, for a tourist area. We did not go to the restaurant adjacent to the hotel, but it did look appealing from the outside. The seafood restaurant across the street was a little pricey with few alternatives to seafood. We did not eat there and therefore cannot speak to the quality, but we saw the menu at the entrance. It took less than 1/2 hour to get to the Mohegan Sun. It is nice to take a look at even if you don't gamble. A number of restaurants and shops. It is like an indoor mall. Smoking is allowed in the building except for certain designated areas. On most weekends they have free shows. We saw one on Friday (a Bruce Springsteen revue group that did well) and Lynda Carter on Saturday. Nice voice with a quality band. Hotel was perfect in every way. My only fear is that if they get such great reviews, too many people will want to stay there, and they will raise their prices.. :-)

This is the second time staying at this hotel in the past year. It's a great value for a nice hotel, close to many of the area sights. There are many restaurants, shopping and other recreational activities close by. The included breakfast was an added benefit!

First, this is within walking distance of the aquarium and shopping, including a movie theatre, which is a great treat. Everything was really comfortable and clean, and they didn't serve the same breakfast items every day, which I thought was a nice touch. The pool was a little more than a square water hole, and the fitness center didn't have any free […] weigths, but these are minor issues, compared to the really great location, really nice staff, really good food, and really comfortable surroundings! Very nice room, large and comfortable. The staff allowed us to in a little early, which was helpful. It was the least expensive hotel in Mystic that weekend, and far and away a great deal. Thanks!

Great location if you want to hang in mystic. Clean, new, convient, all you need.

Very helpful staff, new hotel, nice views (front floor front facing room), spacious, clean, well located. Small pool and a couple of treadmills were a bonus. Pancake maker at breakfast was a hit with the children

we stay over for one night ,front desk personal was wonderful to us very polite , our room was clean neat and very large in size we didn't think it was that big we always came to this hotel when it was under a different name before but we like this one better and its much cleaner then it has ever be.. thanks for the great stay when were up that way […] again we will be useing this hotel again. thank u. The hotel was clean and smelled really good in the lobby. The room was comfortable but the water pressure in the shower was TERRIBLE.

The hotel couldn't be more convenient to Old Mystic Village and the Aquarium. The room was very spacious and the complimentary breakfast included many different items. The only complaint we had was that the jacuzzi was out of order for the two days of our stay.

Everything was great, except the bed was very uncomfortable.

The hotel was very nice. Did not use the pool, the water looked al little cloudy, but saw others enjoying the it.. When we arrived on Monday afternoon, the clerk was not very friendly and when we asked him questions or suggestions for resturants he did not seem interested in helping us. When I asked where the ice machine was, his reply was "it's on […] the second floor". Other than our experience with that person, our stay was great. I've stayed in many Holiday Inn Express facilities. This hotel far out-surpassed them all. It was much more luxurious and had all the extra amenities that are usually missing at an Express. The continental breakfast choices were very good and everything was of a high standard.

Very enjoyable stay at the Holiday Inn Express Mystic. The continential breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety; the location of the hotel enabled my wife and myself easy access to all of the places we had on our itinerary. On our return trip to Mystic, Connecticut, we will return to t the Holiday Inn Express for our lodging.

the best location (really) for mystic, gorgeous scenery, clean and super spacious room, really, it was a great pick + i highly recommend to others

This hotel is my 'go to' place when I stay in Mystic. I have always been treated well; the rooms are clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff take care of whatever you need. Please remember to sign out of your email! My laptop in the room was a little slow on the internet, but that just may have been my equipment. Holiday Inn Express is up on the hill above the Olde Mistick Village and the Aquarium. Great location for convenience to the Mystick Seaport also, just 1 mile down the road. Pool is indoor and medium sized. Hotel parking is adequate but the back lot must be reached by driving around the entire hotel. However you can enter through the back door with […] your key card which makes it much more convenient than it first appears. Breakfast is a mob scene with lots of families staying here so go out early or late- not at 8 AM. Had a jacuzzi room which turned out to be on the first floor - not sure why??? Had a very nice stay, the bed are soooo comfortable. the room was large for our family of two teenage daughter. The only problem when we had the room cleaned my daughters rose hair clip given to her from her grandmother was missing.We told the front desk and have yet to hear.

The stay was excellent-the continental breakfast was great. The service was excellent. The only issue was the pool water was cloudy. The view outside the hotel was wonderful.

Rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff was courteous and helpful. Very close to all area attractions. The breakfast buffet was the only downfall I experienced with the hotel. Not much to offer and the pancake machine as broken. I would most certainly return to this hotel the next time I go to Mystic.
