We stayed at the family side of the resort in a 1 bedroom suite. We loved our stay at the Renaissance because it was like a compound: between the two... hotels across the street from one another, two pools, a private island with the fun boat ride, lots of restaurant choices, two casinos and the mall, we really had a diverse amount of things to do just at the hotel. We were all inclusive, which I think is nice if you don't want to constantly analyze your spending. I don't know we'd do it again just because we ate wayyy too much and I don't know it was worth it for us anyway after saving our receipts. There are great looking places in the City we didn't eat at because we wanted to maximize our value. The food was pretty good--the steak house was great (this coming from a vegetarian but the vegetarian choices are excellent). The room was okay--we paid extra for ocean view and parents got the parking lot view. Our room was pretty moldy smelling no matter how high we left the A/C probably due to a dropped ceiling with no fan in the bathroom. My parents' room wasn't moldy at all. The wifi also went out on the last day we were there which was annoying. There is a nearby Starbucks and other places with wifi though if you buy something. Overall, this was a fantastic trip and undoubtedly we'd stay there again and ask for another room if the one we got was moldy. Our toddler daughter, by the way, who is 34 inches tall fit fine in the crib they said was more like a bassinet. od Brooke od Philadelphia dana 08-06-2013
