Mercure Gold Coast Resort - Carrara

A fantastic hotel with very very friendly and accomodating staff (service with a smile always), clean and comfy rooms. Very relaxing and peaceful stay, awesome views of the golf course. I would recommend the place and will most definitely go back to stay at the Mercure Gold Coast Resort. Kids loved it too... Nothing negative about the place.

Overall no complaints. Just that we didn't know that the hotel had changed name from Radisson to Mercure recently. A bit old place with no bottle openers in the room, but front desk was helpful in arranging and providing one at the earliest. The hotel was very expensive, we couldn't afford to eat breakfast there because it was 27 dollars for a full breakfast, so it was a pain to have to go out in the car every morning to find somewhere. Had a pleasant experience with the radisson. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lovely lady with the american/canadian accent who greeted us every morning at breakfast. So friendly and great to my two young daughters. Thumbs up to her:) will stay again next trip to the G.C for sure.

It was a relaxing 3 days stay at this hotel. We are a family of 4, 2 Adults and 2 kids. The location is a little out of the way, but it was a short drive away to the beach and Pacific Fair. The pool was really good and refreshing, not over crowded like some hotels in Surfers we stayed in the past.Nice stay overall.

Just filled out the survey for the Radisson, so I will not waffle on here, but lets just say that our stay was a very relaxing and memorable experience. The quality of service will definitely entice us to stay there again in the future.

We had a lovely two night stay breaking up our driving trip from Melbourne to further north Queensland. As a family of five, we were pleased to find we had two spacious rooms and two ensuite bathrooms! The service and facilities were exceptional and we will definitely stay here again!

Booked a King room with two double beds thru hotels.com. Turns out, the hotel does not have that kind of room.. Hotel.com screwed up.. The manager was kind enough to give us a two bedroom exec suite for the same price! The suite was very comfortable and had golf course view from the balcony. If you are looking to do beach related activities, you might want to stay in Palm Beach or Surfers Paradise.. Wireless internet in the room was a nightmare. Hotel gives you a router for in-room wireless which did not work for us, even after swapping several routers and wasting time with their technical support (which was horrible). As we were there for only a short time we found everything good except for the lack of lifts. When we arrived we were given our room number and on the way to it met a member of staff who pointed out it was on the third floor, horror for me as I have had a ankle reconstruction and a hip replacement in the last year could have managed one flight of stairs […] but not three. The member of staff was great took us straight back to reception who changed things around and gave us a ground floor room which was much appreciated. The staff were great and really friendly. We were travelling with a newborn and 4 year old and our daughter loved the pool and whirlpool. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only drawback was that our room had a balcony overlooking the back of the resort and tank area rather than the golf course or water.

Used this as a base to visit various places in the Gold Coast. Our original room reeked of cigarette smoke, we rang reception and were updated to a suite within 20 minutes. Staff were great, loved heated outdoor pool and other facilities. great fro kids.

Everything about the resort was excellent, rooms, grounds, amenities and entertainment. I was disappointed that the manager was trying to charged us more for our room than what we were quoted, however finally he agreed to charge us what our quote was.

My room is on third floor, there is no lift, only stairs. I came back late and I put don't disturb sign outside of the door. But next morning they knock on the door and ask me if I’m going to check out. Really bad service, never stay here again. I book this hotel is because Radissons’ name. I guess I just can’t trust brand name anymore.

Great hotel, excellent staff who went the extra mile. We travelled with 2 young children and they were made to feel very welcome. The buffet breakfast is a standout and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be choosing to stay there again.

Got a great deal and it was in a great location. We hate the Gold Coast so it was nice to feel slightly removed from it all yet still be handy to everything. The room was spacious and comfortable. Definitely deserves it's 4.5 star rating. I imagine it would get busy during school holidays...

My 4th stay at this venue; you don't come back that many times if it is not good. I have brought back group of 40, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed venue, ammenties & dining, as well as access to Golf Course. Reception staff & housekeeping staff more than helpful in locating & returning item left in room.
