We loved the faded elegance of the Queens .Only disappointment ,we had booked a queen size bed and room 123 certainly was not one .As our friends had just secured the last room we new it was not appropriate to complain because they couldnt do anything about it and we didnt want it to sour our visit .

Very good location. Cheltenham looking very fine ! I hope the Museum opens soon. Even a dedicated footpath from the station(25 minutes ?). Ideal for the Everyman and the Holst Birthplace Museum. My room was in a quiet location in the hotel, so the evening wedding party was no problem !

Booked a room with a Queensize bed. I was given a room with a double bed when I complained I was told this was what the hotel class as a Queensize. Was very disappointed as this was for my wedding anniversary and if I had known that It wasn't a Queensize bed I wouldn't have booked it here. This was a very pleasant hotel to stay in - walking into my hotel room, the first thing I noticed were the high ceilings and large windows. Normally when traveling on business I only require three things: a warm shower, a comfy bed and a wireless Internet connect. The Queen's delivered on two out of these three. There are a variety of options, all in excess of 10 Pounds Sterling for a day (roughly ten hours of Internet time). This is a little expensive, especially if you are there on business and require connectivity. Also, data transfer rates were on the low end. A high quality hotel in the lovely Montpellier area, surrounded by high end shops and restaurants. Just a short walk to the town center the hotel is conveniently located and well presented with friendly staff. For the rate of the room we would like to have had access to free parking.

The hotel was in a great location for access to Cheltenham centre and looked very splendid and grand from the outside. Dinner reasonable and breakfast very good. I upgraded to premium room for reasonable money and thought it worthwhile. The bar is not very big. The hotel charges guests for staying in its own car park which i find unacceptable

We stayed two nights for a friends wedding at the town hall which is just across the park. This hotel seems really central with lots of shops, parks and places to eat nearby. We had just got married in Gloucester and this hotel was the first night of our honeymoon - they couldn't have been more accomodating and helpful and the all of the staff were lovely. The first room we were given smelled of vomit and cleaner. More importantly, neither the floor or ceiling were level. The crown molding had cracks and there are large metal braces between this wing of the hotel and the next wing. Great location and really nice staff. The bedroom was nice and the bed was like a great big swallow you up pillow...(great nights kip). The property itself is really nice but in need of a little bit more love and attention. We didn't eat in the hotel as there are some great places really nearby (the Dafodil was wonderful!). We stayed at the Queens Hotel overnight and it was lovely. My only disappointment was that we were overlooking scaffolding but I suppose someone has to and we were hardly in the room but it would have been nicer to have a front view. I would have to say that they could do with bigger bottom sheets on the beds as mine was in the middle of the bed in the morning!! However, the bed was very comfortable and both my husband and I slept well. My only complaint was that the room was a little hot. There is aircon but it cannot be controlled by the guest, if this was changed the room would have been perfect and my comfort and overall satisfaction ratings would have been 5 stars instead of 4. One more slight complaint is the hotel charging for the privilege of using their car park. Should be free to paying guests surely? Especially as it is free to visitors to the restaurant who spend over a certain amount, which we did. The only consolation was they let us leave the car for a few hours after we checked out to get lunch and go shopping. Would highly recommend, great hotel in a beautiful town. Staying here is like taking a step back in time. The Queens has grandeur in bucketloads. I ate at Brasserie Blanc which is located in what was once the ballroom. A good breakfast was included in the rate. Parking the car on site was an extra cost which left me feeling light in the pocket.

Very close to Cheltenham Town Hall - great for the Jazz festival. It's also close to the train station (about a 20 minute walk). My room was small and had far too much furniture but was clean and well presented. ２０年まえから憧れのホテル・・とまってみたら、スタッフは挨拶も笑顔もない。歴史があるからか自分が偉いと勘違い？した態度。部屋も古く、お湯のでは悪いし、なんと、夜中にお風呂をわかしながら部屋でネットを使っていたら、電気の使いすぎでブレーカーが落ち朝方まで誰もきてくれなかった。これだったら２０￡のB&Bのほうがまだいいです。

最初に通された部屋が思ったよりも狭かったのでその旨を述べると、冷蔵庫付きの広い部屋に替えてくれたのは良かった。ただ、スタッフの一人に部屋のカードキーが作動しないことを言うと開口一番に「携帯などの磁気の発信する場所に置いたのではないか？」と客を責めるような態度を取った。私が、「まず、カードキーがなぜ作動しないのか原因を確かめてから、客に注意をするのが筋ではないのか？」と言うと、ぷいっとそっぽを向いてしまった。日本のホテルのフロントならまず「ご迷惑をおかけして申し訳ありません」と言うはず。原因を確かめる前に客に文句を言うなんてありえない。格式あるホテルという評判が高かったので期待していたが、スタッフの態度がこれではもう二度々このホテルには泊まりたくないと思ってしまった。
