"cruise layover"
The hotel was nice enough for what it was. We were just staying the night before going on a cruise. It is really close to the cruise terminal and they even provide a free shuttle. "Stopover to board Cruise holiday"
The staff was friendly and welcoming! The hotel was perfectly functional for us to stay over to board our cruise ship the next day. The hotel and rooms are a little dated but clean and tidy, perfect for our one night layover. The breakfast was satisfactory, We would stay at the Sunrise again for the same reason. The hotel is quite old but reasonably maintained. The staff are not so friendly. There is no facility for leaving your luggage there after checking out time. "Unfriendly and rude staff"
We were there for 8 days. Money paid in advance and no refund after arrival. Wifi drops out constantly. On some days even sitting at reception there was no signal. Staff refuse to assist. Asked for a bath plug on arrival which never materialised, despite 3 reminders. Toilet flush chain constantly breaking. Temporary repairs ineffective. Staff sullen […] and some rude. Barely say a word when being spoken to. Not a pleasant experience. Linen on bed not nice. A sheet, a blanket and a sheet on top of that. The blanket had lots of hair on it. Did not feel it was clean. This hotel is centraly located for all siteseeing events in Pedro. I especially enjoyed the 5 minute walk to the museum. The continental breakfast consited of: bagels, toasts, assorted danishes, hot and cold cereals, boilded eggs and various jucies. The room had a small sink and microwave oven. It was clean, comfortable as a motel should be. The resturant next door was great. But the greatest thing about this place was location location location! I could go play with my daughter and leave my husband without a car and know he was completely entertained! My only beef was that we couldn't bring our little dog. "Waterfront hotel at a good price"
The location was excellent with bus service one block away and restaurants across the street and two blocks away on the waterfront. The plumbing in the room had some problems, but hot water was available. The room was clean, but it needed some repairs. I understand that the economy has hurt the hotel industry. The TV was difficult to start up and […] took many trials and errors to get a picture. Channel choices were very limited. WiFi was free. Complimentary Breakfast was good and offered the usual choices including fruit and juice. The coffee was okay, and tea was available. Three people on three shifts at the desk were helpful. The shuttle bus was late in arriving, but OK. The hotel was convenient to our car rental, cruise ship, restaurants, etc. The lady manager was kind and helpful. The man was more interested in staying on the computer in the back room and was not warm or friendly. It was mosty nice, but the floors were very dirty. I like to take my shoes off, but my feet got very dirty. Other than that it was OK. They had a very nice, clean pool but we didn't get to use it. There was a very stocked continenal breakfast. We only spent 2 nights there 1 night before our cruise and 1 night after. It was very close to the ship.
