The staff were helpful and the atmosphere was very easy. Perfect location, nice neighborhood, in the middle of everything and you can walk everywhere.

The service and the staff at the hotel were very helpful. We first were given a twin room which was very small and by the third day we got a bigger room. The beds are very good and we had a good nights rest the full 8 days we were there. The pool was dirty and the sauna was not working. Also our room was not cleaned before 2.00 pm. and most of the time […] we never got enough towels. Otherwise we found the hotel very accomedating and helpful . The Cape Town Hollow is located in a pretty street opposite the Company Gardens and the Planetarium with views of Table Mountain - well worth paying a bit extra for a high floor mountain view room. It's also right opposite bus stop 6 on the Red Route City Bus Tours (a a fabulous way to get around the city). Location wise it is a bit of a hike to the […] V&A Waterfront - around half an hour on foot - but a taxi is only around R45 and well worth it if you don't fancy a walk. Rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean. Although there wasn't much storage space it's what you'd expect expect from a city hotel The pool area is tiny but adequate - we didn't use it as there was so much going on in the city. Breakfast was varied with hot and cold choices and we used the restaurant a couple of times in the evening and found prices to be reasonable and food quality good. On our last evening they had a BBQ and live music, which was excellent Staff here were amazing - we were delayed by 24 hours due to flight cancellation and they went out of their way to help by calling tour companies for us, rescheduling excursions and letting us hold onto our room for a few hours after official check out time at the end of our stay. Centrally located, the only problem we encountered was a faulty air conditioning system. The problem was solved by us moving to another room. A hint: try not to get a room on the lower floors as it can get a little noisy especially closer to the weekend.

We stayed at Capetown Hollow for 4 nights at the end of November. We found the hotel to be in a great location, opposite the Company Gardens, not far from Long Street for lots of bars and resuarants and with the red bus line stopping just outside the hotel. We had a car and the hotel arranged parking for us at a very reasonable rate. Our room was small […] and definitely lacking in shelf space, but attractive, sunny and spotless. Breakfast was good and staff very pleasant. The Cape Town Hollow met all my expectations and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and we also had a good dinner at the hotel. Easy walk to Green Market and other tourist sites. We enjoyed our stay.

As we were expecting a nice and comfortable four-star hotel for a 3-night stay, we were quite disappointed. Except for the beautiful view on Table Mountain and the good breakfast, we would not recommend this place as a four-star: we got a twin room on the first night instead of the double room we specifically requested (which could also be the fault […] of hotels.com), the rooms were not particularly well maintained, the pool was dirty and the chairs broken, the staff "forgot" us when we asked for the sauna to be turned on, and they were not sure of where they had parked our car on the last day.. Cape Hollow is great hotel. The rooms were large and well cared for, save for the leaking shower door. The staff was extremely helpful. They even searched and found an adapter for us which we were able to use for the duration of our trip. The breakfast was very good. And they have an egg chef to cook eggs and omelettes to order. Everyone here was really helpful and we were very lucky to be upgraded to a mountain view room. The breakfast buffet is great and the deal on this hotel put it heads and shoulders above the competition for us. We ended up staying 4 nights when we'd only planned to stay one. Vietimme ihanan loman tässä pienessä hyvässä hotellissa, jonka henkilökunta oli ystävällinen ja sijainti erinomainen. Huoneestamme oli upeat näköalat pöytävuorelle. Ainoa meille uimareille negatiivinen asia oli lintujen sulat uima-altaassa ja altaan pienuus, mutta silti altaaseen pulahtaminen oli virkistävää.

Vi boede på dette hotel i 4 dage og fandt det yderst tilfredsstillende. dejlig fredelig beliggenhed lige ved Company Gardens, en hyggelig park hvor vi nød frokosten sammen med tamme egern og fugle. Udsigten fra vores værelse var fantastisk. Bestil bjergudsigt og så højt oppe som muligt.

Personnel acceuillant, parlant parfois français. Excellent buffet de petit déjeuner ainsi que le restaurant. Bon emplacement, face au Company Gardens. Très belle vue (Signal Hill pour nous). Concernant la chambre plus particulièrement […] : excellente literie, très grande fénêtre (donc bcq de lumière), grande salle de bain, propre mais le canapé présent dans la chambre était tout défoncé, le bureau menaçait de s'effondrer à tout moment et la tv (peu de chaines !) datait de 1728 (!!!).
