"Bumpy Quilts"
Even though I actually liked the bumpy quilts (quilts/comfortors) inside a duvet we couldn't help but wonder if they were that way on purpose or that way from washing. We did like them, however and also, we wondered about the sticky notes above each bed. No offense, but they were a bit tacky. We joked that if they weren't there did that imply the duvets […] were NOT washed. Maybe a nice card on the pillows might be a "nicer" touch. Staff was super nice, room, bathroom was super clean. "Good Hotel, Nice Employees, Great Breakfast"
I thought our stay at this hotel was great! The room was very clean and new looking. The staff at check-in were nice and helpful. The continental breakfast offered in the lobby every morning was fantastic. The hotel is convenient to HIghway 2 and to restaurants and shopping. This hotel had very knowledgeable staff. We tried to get a cab to the Husker game and Yellow cab said it would be 1.5 hrs. Instead the lady behind the desk mentioned that there was a shuttle from the local mall that was only $4 one way! We took the both to and from the game. I would highly recommend the shuttle. Originally paid for a kingsize bed but when got to this hotel received 2 queen beds instead. The people at the front desk seemed to be in training and unsure of what to do. Finally one asked the manager (presumably) what to do, and were told nothing was guaranteed. Apparently someone had changed the room and the hotel was all booked up. The Hampton Inn property is exactly what you expect from the name brand chain. Our stay was pleasant.. It was when I received my credit card statement the inconvenience began. I had a wonderful experience. It was close to the area I had my meetings and friends. The neighborhood was the best in the area.
