Hotel is close to airport and also located within an easy drive of all South Tampa and downtown. It is the only hotel in that price range I could find in such a central location. I was there to apartment hunt around South Tampa, so it was perfect for me. The staff is nice. The breakfast is extremely basic, but enough to get you going in the morning, […] and even though it ends at 9:30 they would often leave it out for a little longer. My room was clean and comfortable. Pool area was nice for relaxing. My only complaint is the fitness room has a treadmill, elliptical and a bike, all of which look like they are some of the earliest models made. I could not get the treadmill or elliptical to actually turn on even though they were plugged in, and I was unable to change the resistance on the bike...so don't plan on actually using the "fitness" area. Service was friendly and efficient, room clean and quiet. A little more water pressure in the shower would have been nice, but otherwise a very pleasant stay.

It was a nice hotel but the water pressure in the bathroom was really low. And they need to clean behind the toilet better.And keep their hair out of the bathtowels!!!

The Rooms were huge. I was suprised how big they were, but there was only a sheet and a blanket on the bed so it got a little chilly. We were quite glad that it was very quiet as we are light sleepers and both of us had 2 good nights sleep.

The staff was very nice and attentive. Service was great. Room was clean. I felt very safe. Breakfast was convenient. Other guests were very friendly. Did not like the musty smell in the room. Non-smoking room had no smoke odor but a bit musty. Price was excellent. I would stay there again.

I couldn't have asked more for the price we booked the hotel for. It was clean, and the front desk staff including George the manager were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was basic. Bagels, waffles, etc. It's 10 minutes from the Tampa airport. I would absolutely stay again!

Clean room, nice big beds, free breakfast, and really good customer service. I had no trouble checking in a bit early and we had no problems. There was limited parking so I recommend getting a spot at a decent hour

This was just what we expected when we booked: clean, comfortable, close to downtown hotel that didn't cost a lot. Hotel staff was polite and very accommodating; they ordered us a cab and provided directions to local shops. The location of the hotel was great, a quick $12 cab ride the Tampa Bay Times Forum and right next to an IHOP in case you need […] a late night meal. Asked for a room far away from elevators, and got one just next to them... Clean room, very clean bathroom, high sealing room. Very comfy. Excellent mattress. Situated approx 20 min drive from downtown. Situated near Florida Turnpike \ Highway 4 (easy access to St.Petersburgh and Downtown Tampa).

I had no problems at all with the property and the staff was courteous and friendly. The place could use some updating, but was well kept. You may want to avoid a room that is right next to the stairs. The fire door is noisy when it opens and closes as other guests go in and out. The check in staff was pleasant and filled us in on the best places to eat and sites to see. Stayed on 2nd floor. Lobby was attractive. Hallways were somewhat dated in appearance and decorations on tables had not been changed in years. Room was the generic 2 double bed with 26 inch tube TV. Bed was hard but I had no problems sleeping. The bathroom was as small as a cruise ship. See the attached picture but was functional. The room safe did […] not work. The maid did not clean our room the first day. No adjustment made for that error. Was in Tampa for a day, the room was clean, somewhat modern, for the price, I had no issues with it. The location is on a main street and there are a few places to eat around. It had a fridge and microwave which was nice.

My two big complaints were the extremely hard bed, and lukewarm "hot" water. For my stay I was able to get maybe four instances of 10 minutes of sleep. I've never been able to not sleep because of a reason like a hard bed. I weigh 200 pounds and when sitting in the edge of the bed you couldn't notice the bed deviating at all. The other complaint was […] the slightly warmer than tapwater "hot" water and lack of water pressure. Things like that make you feel like you didn't have a good shower and you're still dirty. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The room Decour seem to be extremely cheap and hadn't been updated in forever, didn't notice any cleanliness issues seem to be cleaned to my standards. I didn't see any complaints about the hard beds and water on hotels.com, however I did notice it on other ranking websites as when I couldn't sleep I wanted to see if my experience was a unique, it was not. Hotel was very clean. It did need some updating but was fine for our needs. We rented two rooms and one of the rooms did not have hot water in the shower. We notified management and the problem was addressed quickly.

No hot water. When we called to office they said to turn th handle the other was because sometimes they are on backwards. Duh-we had already tries that. Never got any hot water. I fear this hotel is on the downhill slide.

The Best Western Tampa was a perfect pick...about 15 minutes from downtown, and about the same from the airport. Spent a miserable night without sleep because of intense hummimg from outside room (112) which was amplified in certain areas of the room. Could not rest in the bed and tried to sleep in armchair. Front desk could not or would not change room. The area is not up to much. There are better options, surely, nearby.

Very nice. Afternoon/night clerk was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help w/ restaurants and routes to attractions. Continental breakfast was also nice and offered a variety satisfying enough we ate at hotel and not at IHOP right next door. Would stay here again.
