I loved the small get away we originally booked one night, and ended up staying two. Loved the large pool and jucuzzi. Can't wait to stay again.

"Freezing cold pool"
I would recommend this hotel to others who are going to the park. The shuttle was very convenient and the breakfast was wonderful! But, the pool was the coldest we had ever been in. This hotel should put some money into heating it in the future.

Good Quality hotel, for a reasonable price, pool, and hot tub very nice, hotel staff friendly, and helpful. Hotel restaurant was closed, but the bar had a fairly good selection on the menu, with other restaurants nearby. We had the King suite, and found it very comfortable, and nice. Would recommend, and stay there again.

This location is old and shows it's age but it was clean and close to the park. The bus shuttle was awesome. If it was updated it would be great. We will most likely not stay here again. We got this location because of the price. I guess you get what you pay for.......

When I first arrived to the hotel I was given the key to an already occupied room, AWKWARD. The front desk staff was less-than-professional, however the rooms were decent, clean, and affordable. I would stay there again, if I got a good deal.

This hotel is an older property. Decor in the room and lobby is severely outdated. Our room had a comfortable bed, but also several areas where the carpet was stained. Refrigerator so nosy had to unplug it to sleep. Halls and outside of building needed spruce up. Trash cans by outside doors needed emptying-smelly. Interior of room cleaner than outside. Shower had mold in grout. Just there one night. Would not stay there again as price for room too high for quality of accommodation. Got this room because of rate and location. read a bunch of reviews and thought it couldn't be that bad for one night but it was! Carpet was stained with what was definitely puke, bath tube was nasty and spent the whole night worried about bed bugs. Defintiely NOT worth the convenience of being close to Kings Island. Only nice thing was the shuttle […] to the park and the driver was great. Breakfast was nasty too! We would have asked for another room but the place was full and so was every other hotel in the area. I can not believe that Kings Island actually put their name on this place. Realized in the morning part of why the place is so gross, there were around 10 teenagers that were in charge of cleaning the rooms were we were at. Do you honestly think they clean their own rooms very good? They are certainly not going to want to clean up after other people. We didn't choose the hotel because of its proximity to the Amusement Park, (but if we had, it would have been VERY convenient for that). The hotel's location northeast of Cincinnati afforded us a 24-mile head start toward our next destination, Detroit. The hotel was close enough to Cincinnati to be convenient for the baseball game we went to see there. While very clean and comfortable, some of the property is beginning to show some age, (perhaps because it virtually sits in the shadow of the gigantic and brand-new-looking Wolf Creek Lodge that looms across the street). Location was our main concern and this location was excellent. Used the "old school bus" to be transported to to park. Bus was a little antiquated but served it's purpose. Hotel was very clean and neat from lobby to hallways to room. You can tell this hotel was built in late 1960's, early 1970's. I STAYED ON JULY 4TH AND 5TH. IT WAS GREAT THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, EVERYTHING WORKED AND THE BUS DRIVERS WAS GREAT WE WENT TO THE BEACH ON THE 4TH AND WERE THE ONLY ONES FROM THE HOTEL THAT DAY THAT WENT TO THE BEACH AND THE BUS DROVE US OVER AND I CALLED HIM WHEN WE WERE READY TO LEAVE AND HE CAME AND PICKED US UP. Stayed for one night while at King's Island for two days. Hallway could be more clean and better upkeep but room was comfortable, easily accessible, and a great location to the park. Bus services to King's Island was a plus with friendly drivers who kept to the schedule of pick-ups and drop-offs.

Chose this hotel as it included a tennis court. The courts were a little tatty but playable. The facility is a little aged but the grounds are nice, it is well situated, and it met our needs. The Hotel staff were pleasant but their computer system could use some updating. The check-in process was laborious.

Nothing expensive about it.Also not going out of their way to keep it up or in staff training. So for an inexpensive trip with low expectations, this is your place. Location is great. Surrounding town has plenty to offer but hurts drivin by the Great Wolf lodge while on a budget due to the huge step down in cleanliness and staff.

We rented two room that were supposed to be ajoining but they ended up not being available once we got there - they were across the hall from each other. Staff was all very friendly but check-in took forever!! They have discounted tickets to various places and absolute best part is the shuttle that runs like every 15 minutes to and from Kings Island. […] Having teens with us that wanted to stay a day longer and also later than us, that was a huge time saver! This is an older hotel but the huge amount of things to do while there - indoor and outdoor pool (only indoor was open when we were there but the water was sooo nice and warm inside!), arcade, playground and onsite restaurants, with room service. We would definately stay there again. There is a movie theatre and lots of places to eat nearby and right across the street from Great Wolf Lodge. Kings Island Resort is in dire need of updating and cleaning. It's not dirty, but the bare minimum cleaning effort is what has been done. Our room had a cracked sink, cracked floor tiles, a very unthorough vacuuming job, worn bed linens, and a dirty window. There are things to do on premise like swimming, an arcade, and basketball but I think calling […] this a resort is a stretch. Both interactions with the staff were very good. The location is great if you are going to Kings Island. There's a free shuttle to the park if you don't want to pay for parking. We booked this at a discount but it was still overpriced. We had a good experience here. We did not use the resturant or bar, but did access the indoor pool and outdoor pool. Very nice. They let us check in early and that was very helpful. Great location. Older hotel, but well kept and a great deal for the money. Would def stay here again

Hotel was very outdated and our room was very dirty and smelled like mildew, musty like water damage. I was very disappointed, you should not waste your money to stay at this hotel. The only positive thing about the hotel is the shuttle bus to Kings Island and the water park, that was very nice, other than that its not worth it. This hotel needs to be remodeled in order to compete with other hotels...next time I should of stayed at a marriott or holiday inn. i know they have clean hotels.

"NASTY-STAY AWAY"
The sheets did not fit on my bed. There was pubic hair all over the bathroom floor. The balcony of the hotel was gross....covered in bird poop, the chairs and table were filthy. The ice machine was so nasty I didnt dare use any. The customer service is horrid!!!

For the price the hotel was ok. Needed a lot of updating and could be cleaner. Bath towels were small and thin. Pool and hot tub were decent but when we got there a set of teenagers were leaving and while we were there another set showed up to use the hot tub and swim.
