Best Western Golf Hotel - Bussy-Saint-Georges

Pretty good hotel but no air conditioning in the room. The bed in our room also had a huge urine stain on the under sheet, which thankfully we didn't notice until the last day. Also was charged for breakfasts on departure even though I thought I'd made a bed & breakfast booking?

We had a reasonable stay at this hotel but expected more from a 4* rating. the fridge inside could do with a wipe & our quilt cover had a hole in it! Its such a shame because its a real pleasent hotel just in need of TLC. To be honest if you are looking for a hotel close to Disney this would serve you well. Its 2 stops on the metro which cost us 6 euros […] for 2 adults & 1 child one way which wasn't bad. There is also a nice little park opposite the hotel so very handy for little ones! We cant comment on the food as we didn't eat at the hotel but used the bakers by the station for breakfast. Summary; i) We arrived & male receptionist took 4 telephone calls whilst waiting. ii) Family felt more of an inconvenience than a welcomed customer. iii) Became concerned day 1 with ROOM SECURITY when our Apple adaptor went missing following been 1st cleaned. Whether it was stolen or accidently misplaced it did leave my wife and I concerned! Indeed, I also don't know, but it was no mistake of ours, it was there and then it wasn't on our return. we'd thought the hotel would have taken a greater responsibility & shown some concern following our reporting it, but alas not a thing, not even the slightest apology. My personal feeling was this was not the first time this has happened! If you look up about possessions going missing from French hotel rooms there is little that can be done, so we strongly suggest you do not leave anything at all of value within any room. I went through reviews listed on this particular hotel and showed there was another comment concerning general room security, something about money missing from a purse following the customer having gone out to play table tennis. We used this hotel as a cheaper option to go to Eurodisney - it is only 2 train stops away and they also offer a free shuttle service to/from the station (only until about 8 at night though!). However, it was only a 15 minute walk from the station and the neighbourhood was rather pleasant. We did not have any meals in the hotel, so cannot really comment. […] The breakfast seemed to be quite expensive but there was a lovely bakery next to the station which we used. The rooms were big and clean enough, although we were a bit disappointed that the coffee/tea/milk was not refilled. I assume though that we would have received more at the reception had we asked. The staff was neither particularly friendly nor unfriendly, but we did not have too many dealings with them to properly judge. We chose the Golf Hotel for our Disneyland Paris trip as we stayed there last year and enjoyed it - clean hotel, friendly staff, good (but expensive) restaurant, free shuttle service to the station and back, etc. This year, the hotel seemed more run-down (stains on communal carpets), lights out in our room, dodgy toilet flush, i had to fix the soap […] dispenser, fridge not working, very uncomfortable bed, etc. We arrived early evening and decided to eat in the restaurant - only a few tables taken, it took c. 30 minutes just to place our order, and service was so bad we gave up waiting for dessert/coffee in the end - although checking the bill at the end of the stay, we'd been charged for them! It's a shame, as the food is good (although somewhat overpriced) and we would have eaten there most nights - instead we found a great Chinese restaurant opposite the train station (as well as a bakery for our breakfast, considerably less than the €13 pp the hotel charges, and a chance to demonstrate my appalling French!). We had booked one room for 5 people (2 adults, 2 children, and 1 baby), but when we checked in, the hotel staff informed us that fire codes do not allow that many people to stay in one room. As a result, they put us in two rooms (adjoining) at no additional cost to us. It was great to be able to put all the kids in one room and have the other room for […] us! This hotel was close to the rail road station and they offer free shuttle until 8pm. There also some good restaurants in the town close to hotel. I would say it was a 10 min walk to both the train station and the restaurants.

Hotel is not bad overall but we were personally disappointed especially with the attitude of some of the staffs. We arrive hotel around 2am and were initially told we did not have any booking and was made to wait for so long with an attitude only to realise he wasn't searching for the correct name. We had a few other minor incidences that reflected […] poor staff attitude. Despite these, we also had incidences that some staff were really helpful especially when we realised we needed to make photocopies. It was obvious that the bedsheets were not change throughout our stay, the duvets were only neatly relayed! Great value hotel that we used after a trip to Disney. No problems with the late check-in. Room configured as per our requests (including the requested cot). Nice pool and grounds to relax in. Breakfast good (although not advisable to wait until the end of the session as they were running out of some items later on).

Stayed for 3 nights in a family room which was large enough for our needs. The grounds surrounding the hotel were well kept as was the pool. Although the restaurant was closed we were offered a meal on the terrace in the evening. It cost about 9 euros per person plus drinks. We were going to Disney for a day so used the free shuttle bus to the station […] at Bussy St Georges and was only 2 stops from Disney on the train. The cost was 9.40 euros for all of us one way. Unfortunately the shuttle bus only operates up to 8pm so we had to walk back to the hotel after Disney but it only took us about 10 - 15 minutes. All in all a nice hotel for a short stay. Very convenient for Disneyland Paris, and a good place for a stopover either before or after going to the Disneyland parks (we stayed here bothe before and after our 3 days at the parks). Rooms are basic, but ok, as is the food. Service is very good. There is a nice little swimming pool.

We chose this hotel because it's 2 train stops from eurodisney and for that reason it was great. It's a 10-15 min walk through a residential area to the train station but there is a shuttle from the hotel if you're prepared to wait for it. There's not a great choice in terms of restaurant food/room service- we picked up a takeaway pizza in town instead […] which was far better! Not much in the way of shops near the hotel, but there's a Chinese supermarket en route from the station where we bought bottled water and snacks at a fraction of the hotel vending prices, and an excellent bakery opposite the station. We were very impressed with comfort/cleanliness of rooms and the free Wi-fi was good, all-in-all exactly what we were looking for to crash after a whole day at Disney and I'd recommend it for that reason - the only downside was arriving on a Saturday evening to find the restaurant was closed (every weekend and bank hols) and we were starving with no clue where to get food (hence the takeaway pizza, which was great in the end)! The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. We walked to the train station (about 15 mins) and then took about an hours train ride to the Eifel tower. It is only two stops (10 min) in the opposite direction to Disney. I did not want to drive in Paris, so this was perfect. We had a wonderful time!

i did not enjoy the stay at Best Western. upon reaching at the train station around 2.00pm , I called the staff to come and pick us up. The satff (lady) told us nobody can pick us up. The hotel was clean and comfortable, excellent new matress on the bed. There is no airconditioning in the room but a fan was provided. Unlike many French budget hotels tea and coffee making was provided, but not replenished on one out of the 4 days we stayed. Location is the best bit about this hotel. Its a 10 minute walk into town to get the RER train. (There is a free shuttle bus but we didn't bother with it.) This takes you directly into the heart of Paris in 30 mins in one direction and Disney 10 mins in the other. The parking at the hotel is free and plentiful, so is street parking in the "white Zone" about 2 mins walk away from the station. Tip - there is an excellent bakers opposite the station and I suggest you stock up with bagettes and cakes there in the morning, rather than pay Paris prices at lunchtime. The hotel is not far from the A1 but I used a sat-nav to find it. All in all a realy enjoyable and relaxing stay, I would recommend this hotel as good value for money in the budget to mid-range class, and I will probably use it again when visiting Paris. We had a lovely stay here and it was perfect for our trip to Disneyland. We will come back here as everything was what we needed. The pool was out of order while we were there and we don't know why - but this would not have affected us anyway as too cold to swim. Some of the staff not as nice as others. The pool was down for maintenance, so do not book this hotel if you are looking for a pool. Also it is about a mile from the train station, and it is about a 20 minute walk. Used as a base for visiting Disney. Location excellent for train station which was 2 stops from Disney. The area was extremely clean and felt very safe. Hotels car park also felt good to leave the car in for 2 days.
