"Nice Place, but some issues"
The hotels is nice, rooms are nice, but showing some wear. The biggest issue was the check in process literally took 5 hours. There was an issue between the hotels.com site and the hotel system which literally took them 5 hours to resolve........crazy. Nice on the whole, but the hotel can do better in checking people into their rooms on time upon arrival. I had to wait for close to an hour before I was checked in upon arrival at the hotel and this was with much persuasion. Fumigating most of the rooms may also be necessary as we had ants in the first room we were checked into. We had to request for […] another room which also turned out to have ants but not so much like the first room. However, I must say in the absence of the aforementioned concerns, I would rate it as one of the bet hotels I've ever lodged in. "Over priced"

"Not the best, but good by Accra standard"
This hotel has a great pool and lobby area. The rooms could use some work though. The beds are very uncomfortable. The service is spotty. "Not really a business place to stay."
This hotel might be good for holiday use, but I would not recommend it for business use. The facilities like WiFi through VPN didn’t really work, not even in the lobby. At my Junior Suite “big bungalow room” it was not possible at all. Going from this hotel to the ministries also might take some time due to traffic (20-30min). It’s a “bungalow hotel” […] where you need to walk outside quite a bit and it can be very hot and humid in Accra. Staff is nice and helpful, but laundry can take long time. Restaurants are ok, but I’m saying only “ok” as the taste of food is only average. It has a nice looking pool and it seems that a lot of air crews use this hotel. The gym was ok, but the dressing room absolutely awful. To conclude I would not even go there for my vacation as the beach was not attractive at all (dirty and full of rubbish). "Average, at best...."
We expected a bit more from a hotel that charges exorbitant room prices. And, they charge for an extra person, per night. Unnecessary... In regards to comfort and privacy, we recommend this hotel. However, if you expect to be treated with exceptional customer service that most travelers would experience at an international hotel...forget it. We had […] a mini kitchecn in our suite. From day one (we stayed there for four nights) the refrigerator was not working, but the freezer was working, If anything is not wroking in your room, don't expect it to get fixed or even have it addressed. The hotel staff just says, "We'll look into it" and nothing happens. Nothing.... The restaurants and bar were nice. The staff at the Ghanian Village restaurant were much friendlier and honest than the lounge bar staff. Every time we asked for a specific drink at the lounge bar, we were told that they didn't stock that at the hotel. However, if you go outside to the Ghanian Village, they had it. The Ghanian Village restaurant is located on the premises, so why do they have it... The pool, itself, is nice. However, if you're looking for peace and tranquility, go early in the day. As the day wears on, the local residents come to the pool. It goes from peace and tranquil to a fraternity/sorority party bash. And the staff allow and partake in it. Disappointing... Although I had some minor challenges on checking out, which is now being addressed, my overall position is that their services are quite impressive. Restaurantrechungen. Um mit Kreditkarte zu zahlen, muss man immer erst an die Rezeption. Um die angefallenen Rechnungen auf's Zimmer schreiben zu können, muss […] man zunächst ein Cashkonto eröffnen.. Das Personal ist allerdings sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich war im November 2011 zum Abschluß meiner Ghana Reise für 2 Tage im LaPalm Hotel, da ich mir noch etwas Luxus gönnen wollte. Leider stellte sich aus meiner Sicht heraus, dass die Anlage zwar sehr schön ist, aber zu überteuert angeboten wird. Der Service des Personals ist unterdurchschnittlich und völlig demotiviert. Es dauert Stunden, bis man etwas […] zu trinken bekommt, und dann meist noch das falsche. Auch beim Drink an der Poolbar kann der Beleg schon mal 40 min. dauern. Da am Nachmittag viele Gäste an den Pool von außerhalb kommen, ist der Platz immer bis auf den letzten Platz voll.
