Outrigger Beach Resort - Fort Myers Beach

The location on the beach is outstanding, but the rooms are very stale and need updating. The AC unit is very loud, and the room is dark. The fan in the bathroom is really loud.

Staff was very friendly. Room was decent and pretty clean. Beach and Tiki Bar was nice. The Deck Café was very good. Not very impressed with the Cabana rental. Location was good. Overall stay was nice.

Older hotel but great friendly staff. Location is away from the busy store section. Great pool, areas of shade and quite quiet. Lots of beach area - not crowded like closer to the peer! Great location

Had a blast. This was a girls family vacation. Hotel was older but clean. Cafe food was reasonable and good. We are already planning our next visit and we will be staying at the Outrigger Beach Resort. Easy to get around town and close to grocery, drug stores. The beach was outstanding.

The Outrigger was a very comfortable stay for us. It is averagely priced and has a beautiful beach. Charlie's steakhouse across the street is the best steak we've ever had. We had some layover time, & the Outrigger was happy to accommodate us without charge. We would definitely go there again!

This hotel didn't look like much at first, but we were greeted by truly friendly and caring staff, a great deck area and beautiful beach. Rooms were very clean and comfortable! Never been to Ft Myers beach area before, so didn’t know what to expect. Locations was perfect for us, quieter part of the island, but still had plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

We were in North Ft Myers to house shop. The Outriggers Beach Resort was perfect for us! When I made the reservations, I made them for 2 nights. We then decided to stay another night. I couldn't add it to our original reservation. When we checked in I asked if we'd be able to stay in the same room, our reservation was for different room types. I called […] the office to find out if we had to move, if so we would have had to pack up, load the car go house shopping then recheck in when we got back. We were so happy when they said that it was ok to stay!!! The Resort was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate at the cafe, the food was delicious and the staff was great. There were all the amenities you need. We also received discounts for a nice restaurant across the street. We didn't use ours. Would we stay there again, DEFINITELY! Very pleased with our venue,the only hiccup very poor attitude by one of the servers in the onsite dining area.We only eat there the first night when our server was really helpful ,after that it went downhill.

Absolutely wonderful beachfront hotel, not fancy, but clean, comfortable, quiet, lovely pool and deck area, great tiki bar, terrific location. Can't wait to return.

very happy with overall stay. We don't think you should have to pay to rent the cabanas though, for what we paid we think that should be included. One thing we did notice and didn't like was the ice machine made a lot of noise which was close to our room. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Looked for the least expensive resort on Ft Myers Beach and the Outrigger was it. Was delighted with the staff, cleanliness, Tiki Bar, entertainment, Food and Drinks. I think it has to be one of the best if not the best Values on the Beach!

It was across from the ocean, so we could easily walk to it and the room was clean, and the people were friendly.

The staff were all very pleasant. The rooms clean and the beds comfortable. Great poolside bar, that's right on the beach. The resort has all the items you need for a day at the pool or beach. There's also a little restaurant so you don't have to leave for lunch. Very convenient. The beach is outstanding!

The hotel is right on the beach so you can walk out of your room and be to the water in less than 5 minutes. The tiki bar had great drinks and a lot of locals hang out there so you get to know the local vibe. The overall hotel is old and the room decor show it. The beds are not comfortable and the windows only have blinds and no curtains so beware that […] someone could look in the window. Checked in the hotel. Went to our room and the room two door away from our was a drunk passed out in front of his. The room next to ours the guest were sitting in front of their smoking where we have to pass to get to our room. We get to our and it smelled like a mens locker room. The staff were very nice and tryed their best to accomodate our large family. Unfortunately there was a mix up in our booking, and our 2 rooms were not together. Luckily the guests in the rooms inbetween us, didn't seem to mind the children going back and forth.

Being that I work in a hotel, I feel the staff was wonderful, property very enjoyable, maybe I was in one of there older rooms cause the beds were very uncomfortable - very small and bad for the back. Really friendly staff and the beach access is great - especially for sunsets. Big beach, plenty of space and sand is powdery white. Tiki bar is great. We have stayed at The Outrigger Beach Resort many times. This time we stayed in room 101 which is hands down, the best room in the resort. Corner beachfront and next to the Tiki bar and restaurant. We love The Outrigger.

The hotel rooms need renovation, the A/C makes too much noise, beds are comfortable, hotel staff was very friendly and kind.

Is a good hotel next to the beach. The condition of the building is a bit worse than we expected. Looks not that good, but still ok. If you want a beach chair, you have to reserve them (15 Dollar for one day). You can have breakfast bueffet for 8 Dollar.

Almost seemed to good to be true for the rate but it turned out great for the family. Had to leave the dog with a sitter and we were fortunately away from the bar area which was naturally noisy. But easy to get too and among nice parts of florida.

great location - almost all was good - exception: wireless service was very, very iffy - lost connections several times - front desk was little help - was given the tech support tel. # & told to contact them to 'get it working' - talked to them for 4 days in a row - were unable to 'fix' the problem - finally, i just gave up....

Hotel is on the beach and has a pool area, tiki bar and tiki huts to sit under. I enjoyed sitting under a tiki hut and reading once I had enough sun and swimming. The beach is gorgeous. The onsite restaurant food is good for the price, and the restaurant across the street (Charlie's ______), had great food and a wonderful salad bar. It is a good hotel […] if you want a laid back atmosphere and don't want the level of service provided by high dollar hotels. The rooms are painted pastel colors, sort of like "old" Florida. I arrived to courteous, efficient check-in. The resort view room exceeded my expectations in size and having a partial Gulf view from the chairs on the front walkway. It was my honeymoon and after spending the night at a great hotel, I was expecting even better, but I guess you get what you pay for. This hotel was much less than the one I previously stayed at the night before, but everything was going wrong. The toilet was over flooding the first night, the cable did not work properly. They gave us a plunger for […] the toilet but the cable had to be fixed the next day. I asked since it was my honeymoon for an ocean view, but declined since it would be a huge difference they say since I got the hotel through expedia. Do not go down to the cafe downstairs that one waitress there would ignore you like she wants you to go away, then attend to you. Stay was great! The only issue I would say... the Beds were too soft. I guess that would be a personal issue though.
