"Beautiful Grounds, Historic Property"
Culloden House is a historic property, complete with slightly slanting floors (lends to the ambiance, actually) old fashioned light pulls in the bathroom, and the most gorgeous grounds and landscaping, complete with circular drive. You could actually see yourself pulling up in a horse-drawn carraige! The service is extraordinary, and our room was the […] largest hotel room we've ever stayed in, ex of suites. Our beds were super comfortable with high-thread-count linens, sometimes a rarity in Europe. Our best breakfast in Scotland was had at Culloden, complete with black pudding. Didn't see an elevator anywhere (this property was built pre-Otis), so be prepared to climb steps. Neighborhood is pretty suburban, ironically, so if you want to eat off-property, your immediate options are pizza, fish-n-chips takeaway, etc. Worth the money for the ambiance and chance to pretend you've gone back in time to a more genteel era. "Culloden House Castle"
The Culloden staff was very helpful and though my visit was brief I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. If you have a few days in the Inverness, Scotland area you really should consider this warm and friendly hotel castle.

It is true - the hotel staff are as terrific as noted in other reviews! Friendly, helpful and interesting. We were upgraded to a lovely suite with a very comfortable bed, plenty of seating, flat screen TV and fireplace - OK so the bathroom could do with a little updating but it was not a detracting factor. We had dinner in the hotel on our first night […] and it was delicious - my 11 year old niece was with us and they were very accomodating with her limited list of foods! The weather was horrible - it was the end of December so not unexpected - but there are several rooms to curl up in a comfortable chair with a book in front of a fire. We will try and come back to see the grounds when they are a riot of colour and growth and can get out and enjoy the amazing countryside and waters Pročitajte više

I stayed in this hotel as a treat to myself after a week long photography course in the Highlands. I needed a little pampering and boy did I get it. The staff were so friendly, without being intrusive, could not do enough for you. The setting was gorgeous and the food incredible. Very peaceful night's sleep without any external street noises. We were made to feel like guests in someones home, it is a beautiful hotel, set in wonderful grounds. Our room was romantic and very comfortable.
