Skip this one. The "travelers" I saw on both sides of my room appeared to be doing "business." The motorcycle traffic was very loud and went on for several hours ending at 1AM. This was a last minute impulse to stay near the beach. We were $180 sorry.

We asked for a hair dryer and they "were out" stained sheets and the heat didn't work. The were out of coffee pots too that is until the left the maid closet open and I found about ten coffe makers in there can you say lazy? Big time!!!!!!!!!Much better places for less $. Never stay here again.

Hi -- This is the classic rowdy coed/budget conscious senior hotel. It offers a few services -- in room wi-fi, one computer station in the lobby, and a nice albeit small pool. Usual perks such as breakfast, or continuous coffee are missing. The maintenace staff was busy on the grounds my whole stay; cleaning rooms, cleaning windows, making sure things […] sparkled. The staff at the desk weren't as nice. I'm sure a lot of their attitude comes from dealing with rowdy coeds and budget conscious seniors, but when I asked if I could stay an extra hour beyond the posted 11 am check out, I was firmly told no. It didn't matter that the hotel was 1/2 full, or that it wasn't too long ago that 1pm was the norm for checkout; they weren't budging. Everything was as expected. I was looking for a moderately priced hotel for my daughter and me- she enjoyed staying by the pool or brach while I went to a softball tournament. It was perfect for our needs; not too loud, even though it was spring break week. The restaurants we went to nearby were really good.

Older property but nicely redecorated rooms. Views of harbor and bay from 3 - 5 floors. Very clean.

Nice staff, great time hanging out at the pool. Sheppards across the street was the bomb! Beach less than a block. It is a 60's era motel. Price was right.

The hotel exterior is well maintained. Rooms are old looking but are under renovation. All rooms have refrigerator and microwave as well as coffee makers. Just a short walk to the office where they have fresh coffee made at 6 AM as well. In room A/C units are noisy when they kick on, but was actually nice on one night when someone upstairs was playing […] loud music....walls are thin. Floors were newly tiled which contributed to the noice reverberation, however, I appreciate that they don't have carpets in this location to avoid sand and mold collecting in the carpet. There was substantial tile damage in the shower, under the shower head, that was not repaired well at all. Other than that, the room was in good shape. We have stayed here last year. This hotel is affordable and very clean. What a nice suprise. Why stay at the over priced hotels? The pool was even spotless this last trip and this past summer. Great place for anyone.

Great location,walking distance to the beach, just across the street. Plenty of great restaurant with in walking distance. We stayed there with our 6 year old grandson son and we all enjoyed the area. Pier 60 told us 5 min. to get there.

Hated our room, old, lumpy saggy beds,air conditioning made our room and everything in it wet or damp. Really needs to be upgraded. cockroach,due to the door not fitting properly. Wouldn't stay there again. The staff were great. Oh and the elevator keep getting stuck with people in it. Pool was not heated.

Our room was O.K., 2 guest were complaining, the 1st one said the A.C. didn't work, then he was moved to another room and there was some thing wrong with that room, the second person had similar problems and was also moved. Our exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, no big deal, but it's important to have that in a very small bathroom. Overall I feel […] that the place just looked old and needed some type of makeover. Just a basic hotel room, clean. Hairblower,iron/ironing board,microwave,bar fridge,alarm clock/radio, TV/remote. Everything is older, but working. Walking distance to the beach and view of the gulf as advertised. Enjoyed the pool-nice area. No breakfast included with meal. Parking's included in price. Staff were friendly. It worked for me!

Check in with a female who was not so friendly.Room was fine upon first entering,clean.the towels in the bathroom felt like sand paper.it was fairly loud in the hall and surrounding rooms until about 2am.in the morning woke up with a bite on my arm.didn't think anything of it.went to eat at the near by ihop.came back to the room around 10:10am to fins […] my door wide open and someone cleaning my room which I had not checked out of yet.my belongings in the fridge were in the trash all except a piece of cheesecake which the cleaning lady said she threw away to find out she kept it to herself.told the gentle men at the front about it and they seemed VERY uninterested.I explained to them i had a bite from something in the room...then explained to them she should do a better job at cleaning as the 1bite had now turned to 5.which found out later were bedbugs.they also brushed it off and didn't not care only wanted the room key to finalize my checking out.2 days later 1visit to the ER,and 2 prescriptions later I am wishing I spent the extra money to stay at the holiday inn or Hyatt.by far worst hotel experience ever. Only thing was that you can hear everything through the walls and the pay ice machine, other than that. It was a quality hotel for the price and walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

For the price it wasn't bad at all. It's an older hotel with all the room doors on the outside of the building. The A/C units are pretty loud. From my room I could feel/hear the vibration when the compressors would kick on in the surrounding rooms. You can get some good views, but if you have the curtains open so you can see out all the passersbys can […] see in. The staff was very nice and accommodating. There are coin operated laundry machines available. It's all tile floors which is nice because of all the sand that comes in from the beach. Bed was firm, but I found it comfortable. We stood for one night, for what I paid I thought we would have breakfast in the moringing,there was a small room with coffee and a toaster, there where many other hotels that offered this service, the room sheets made us itch, the room was very small and we where placed on the 5th floor and where unable to change to a different floor unless the room […] was not up to our needs, all the rooms where the same from what we moticed, staff was nice but next time we would rather stay at another hotel. The hotel was in a conveinant location, as it was in between some hot spots. I dont mind walking on the beach as the hotel is located across the street from the end of the beach. You need to walk aprox. 1/2-1 mile to get to various beach bars and restauraunts. The hotel is fine although not up to the Hilton Brand standards. The location is good and the beach is beautiful. Unfortunately, the down fall for this hotel is most of the personnel's attitude. They are unfriendly & not helpful at all. Among other things, we left something behind that meant a lot to our teenage son & have had a difficult time getting […] a response concerning our lost item from the hotel manager and house keeping. We had hoped that the hotel manager would follow through as promised and get back with us, but to no avail. Apparantly no one cares including upper management at this hotel. The lack of cutomer service is unbelievable. I will get a response eventually as I am contacting Corporate in Virginia to report our problems. Do not stay here if you expect pleasant & helpful customer service. I am a retired Flight Attendant & my Husband is a traveling business man so we have a lot of experience staying in hotels. I enjoyed staying in this hotel. It was a nice place, especially for the price. I would stay here again, but ask for a room further away from the elevator electrical room.

Stayed in room 401, on the 4th floor of the smaller unit, for the lowest rate. Elevator room on the 5th floor, made horrible noise most of the day and night. Microwave and TV remote did not work, but was quickly rectified. Room was somewhat comfortable, floor needed sweeping.

It was awful - from the broken door latch to the street noise and poorly maintained pool and especially the poorly maintained pool restrooms. So glad we were only there for one night. Not enough towels for family and the towels had a foul odor. Their "light" breakfast consisted of coffee! Stay somewhere else!
