Hotel in poor condition. Carpet ripped between bathroom and hall way in room. Wall paper ripped. Looks like hotel is being prepped for demolition. It is also in a bad neighborhood facing a coin laundry and check exchange place.

The pool had way to much chlorine in it! It made the pool cloudy and burnt your eyes! There was no venting in the pool room so just walking in there burnt your eyes, there were cracks in the ceiling and walls! The staff was pretty rude and when you asked the for something everyone just kept saying that's not my job! At breakfast they kept running out […] and wouldn't check stuff you would go ask for more coffee milk and they said they would be right there and 10 minuted later after others went up they would finally walk out to do their job while the manager just stood around talking and seeing the whole thing!!! Also the night staff was letting in their friends to swim!! Save your money and stay somewhere else the isn't even fridges in the rooms!! Enjoyed our stay - staffing was very friendly-helpful. Room was very clean. Enjoyed the pool & internet access. Restaurants & gas station are right next to hotel. Missed not having a refrigerator. Would definitely stay there again.

The rooms wreaked of smoke and were not updated; carpet, beds, furniture, all needed to be modernized. It was the most dated Holiday Inn Express I've ever stayed in. Breakfast was mediocre at best at 9am, food cold & sparse.

I checked in late and as I was crawling into bed discovered a bunch of dog food all along the wall! As tired as I was, I waiting until morning.they were willing to move me to a different room. I left my good shampoo in the old room and when I inquired about it, I was told they thought I was a "check out" so the supposedly threw it away! Really you just […] moved me due to a dirty room! I won't be back, you can see where the housekeepers run the vacuums as all the furniture is banged up, time for you to invest in some improvements. Hotel is decent, but not worth the inflated price for a football Sat. The shuttle to the game was a nice touch (though not included in room rate.) Our room was clean, but the bathroom was in disrepair; the shower head was broken, the curtain rod was all-but falling off the walls and floor tiles were needing to be re-grouted. Absolutely not worth the price of stay. This is an old property that has had a very minor face lift. Very surprised that Holiday Inn Express was willing to put its name on this property.

Staff were extremely helpful, however there were many broken things in the room - bathroom fan, sink stopper, light in bedroom. Carpet was coming up in the corners of room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean overall - everything was just well-worn. I choose this hotel knowing it wasn't rated too high but was within the price I could afford, […] but I think the rating it was given was a little too high. Having said that, the extremely helpful staff almost made up for the other deficiencies. Bad - will not stay there again. Front desk help acted as if I was an inconvenience. Someone threw up in the hallway and it was not cleaned up until cleaning services arrives after 8:00 in the morning although it was reporsted to the front dest at 6:45. The new gluten free choices are very much appreciated - hard boiled eggs and Yoplait yogurt are excellent additions to your breakfast. The only suggestion I have would be to leave the grapefruit out of the fruit salad - with the baby boomers getting senior - and almost everyone on cholesterol meds - you can't take cholesterol meds and eat grapefruit […] . . we just picked it out, but a different mix would be better. Since there aren't exactly a ton of scheduled flights that go in/out of Lincoln, NE each day, I was very limited when it came to making my travel schedule. For that reason, I landed at 12pm noon and even though the hotel check-in time was 3pm, I headed straight to the hotel since my purpose for travel did not commence until that evening. I was aware […] that the check-in time was not until 3pm, but most hotels will go ahead and check you in early if they have an available room. This was not the case. The lady was very rude to me at the counter and instead of trying to find a solution for me, just kept telling me that check-in was not until 3pm. Let me add that there were maybe 5 cars in the parking lot so my guess is that they were not full. I even asked if there was a closet or somewhere I could drop my luggage until check-in time, but that was not an option either. So I was left to trapse around the thrilling city of Lincoln with all of my luggage. Once I returned to the hotel to check-in later that day, it turned out that they gave me the first room on the first floor. There is no way possible that there was not a single room available for me to even drop my things when I ended up with the closest possible room. Horrible customer service. Once I got into the room, it was nothing special though it fulfilled everything I needed (clean bed, decent bathroom, locked door) so no real complaints there - I got what I paid for. We felt the hotel was very rundown, and would not recommend to friends. We certainly wouldn't stay there again. I must say the room was clean, that was a plus. There was one employee that sat behind the desk and didn't crack a smile the three days we were there. Certainly not the type of person you want at the front desk of a hotel.

The room was ok. In need of some updating of the bathroom. We had reserved a non-smoking King room a couple of weeks before, but upon arrival were told only smoking King rooms were available. Had to take a 2 Queen size room to get non-smoking. What's the point of a reservation if you get what's available when you show up? Room was pre-paid as well. […] The room we ended up with was directly across from the lobby elevator, so around 6:30, we started hearing lots of dinging from the annunciator. We needed a room near the university and this was available. Very courteous and friendly. The day staff person Rhonda was exceptionally nice and helpful.

We stayed here during our visit to the University. The location was very conveniently located to UNL. However, the neighborhood behind the hotel was a bit iffy for my daughter and I. The hotel itself was okay. During our stay, the pool was closed, which was a disappointment as we were not notified of its closure before booking. The room was also okay. […] The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. It was hard to keep a comfortable temperature in the room as the heater was broken. The bathrooms need some remodeling, the steam from showering has started to leave rust on the metal and peel off the wallpaper. What made the stay bearable was the staff and breakfast. This is an older motel in an older part of town. Easy on and off I-80. Desk staff was very professional. Breakfast staff friendly. Good machine pancakes instead of usual Belgian waffles. Water stains on ceiling of clean room. Peeling paint on bathroom ceiling. This appears to be a minority operated business. Hooray for them.

The hotel staff were nice, but the condition of the hotel was wanting. If you are traveling with dogs, don't stay here, there is no where for them to eliminate. The neighborhood is kind of seedy and there aren't any restaurants near the hotel other than fast food. The view from the back of the hotel is a seedy liquor store.
