"Very Nice for the Price"
The staff is very friendly, the hotel is clean and comfortable. There's wifi internet, free breakfast and a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. I was very happy with this hotel and have stayed there several times.

"Exactly what we needed"
We didn't spend much time in the hotel, but we were greeted by a very friendly staff member. Our room was very clean. We had a room with two double beds for a price we couldn't beat. It was a little hot in the room but that's because we neglected to turn down the heat. It's right off the highway and easy to spot.

The room had all the amenities I needed, it was clean, warm, convenient. Front Desk was very nice. It wasn't the Ritz but, for the price, it was well worth it.

Very good deal for the price. Clean and in reasonably good shape. A couple good restaurants across the street though the Angry Olive was somewhat overpriced for the food quality.

This is an little motel that is easy on, easy off from the highway. Perfectly fine for a quick overnight or two. Clean room, Helpful front desk guy. Breakfast is a quick grab and go kind of thing, No eggs or waffles.

"Convenient, Comfortable, Cost-efficient"
I wanted a place to stay that was close to Hartford while also being reasonably priced. I chose the Howard Johnson's Express in Rocky Hill for these reasons. I usually prefer hotels with inside corridors since there's usually less risk of outside noise coming into the room, especially close to a highway. While this Howard Johnson's was near I-91 and […] had the doors facing the direction of the highway, there was no highway noise at all. Everything in the room was well maintained and what I used functioned properly. The room itself was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C was much appreciated. The free breakfast was a welcome treat. My only disappointment was that the only protein available was peanut butter. I would have liked to have seen boiled eggs, but seeing as the hotel did not seem busy, this was an understandable omission. I would definitely recommend this motel to friends and family. "More than I expected."
The hotel is older BUT well cared for and updated. The management and customer service is first class. We had a smooth check in and checkout. Breakfast was both hot and cold foods. Room had internet access without problems. Microwave, refrigerator, easy access to ice machine and snacks. Quick access to interstates. MANY food, shopping and dining options […] nearby. We paid close to the lowest possible rate we could find via hotels.com. Our hope was a simple room, no frills, but perfectly clean and comfortable. We were entirely satisfied. The hotel owner is available on site and is very hospitable.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities (free wifi, continental breakfast, microwave and fridge in room) especially for a 2 star hotel. The owner specifically was extremely friendly and provided excellent customer service Remember, this is a 2 star hotel but I believe its well worth the value!

Not a luxury hotel, but meets all of the basic requirements and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. The room has high speed internet, as well as a desk and a separate table and chairs. I went there to work (I am local and stayed on Halloween to escape trick-or-treaters and meet a major deadline), and it had everything I needed. A microwave and refrigerator […] in the room were very clean, and although I didn't use them, are something I appreciate when I'm out of town. It is not a brand new hotel, but it is CLEAN, and that with all of the other amenities was to me a real bargain for an excellent price. We had a great experience here- the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, pretty, and comfortable- we didn't even need to bring our own pillows. Breakfast isn't anything special- small continental, but we would definitely stay here again.

Right off the highway..the place is convenient, clean and pretty much everything u need in a hotel room. Apart frm the basic amenities..i was surprised to see a fridge and a microwave..(which I didnt see at my previous stay in a hotel on the grounds of Foxwoods casino!) I didnt try the b'fast though Im sure it was decent enough.

Okay place to stay the night (for a guy)but not a family destination. Toilet clogged, AC was loud (luckily it was cool so I didn't need it). One good thing was that is is close to several eating establishments.

"okay place to stay"
Good location and plenty of parking. Staff was very friendly. The rooms are comfortable however have a very old cheesy feel to it. It was fairly priced and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonable and affordable place to stay.
