Wingate by Wyndham - Winchester - Winchester

The Wingate was in really good shape--clean, well-maintained, well laid-out and all important things helpfully labeled. Staff were friendly and helpful, free parking, easy convenience off the interstate. Several chain restaurants within walking distance, but stay away from Glory Days. For the cost, this one really came through.

I stayed at the hotel because of a baby shower I was hosting in the hotel . Early and late check out were offered to accommodate me. The staff was so helpful. Great customer service is a rare find and this hotel staff does it perfectly! Rooms were great too!

We are from NY and travel to Winchester annually for a short business visit. We always stay here as the hotel is convenient, clean and the desk staff are always polite and courteous. We do, however, have the same complaint each year. The free WiFi connection is very weak. Especially on the upper floors. You could have a high rating in everything but if the people who work there were not kind and knew what they were doing nothing else would matter. We couldn't find the hotel, but the person on the other end of the phone was patient and kind and worked us through it until we saw the hotel. Hotel stay was very nice and convenient to Shenandoah University. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. It was nice to have electrical outlets on the nightstand instead of having to plug electronic devices across the room. A plus from our last visit... Thanks!

Our stay here was great. We went for Valentine's weekend. The staff worked with my boyfriend, allowing him to get into the room early so he could decorate it for when we checked in! :)... They also worked with us in allowing us to book the same room for an extra night, after we last minute decided to stay in the area...The room was clean, spacious, […] and comfortable. The young good looking "Indian" girl at front desk was fabulous and did a great job. She was running all over since they were busy at breakfast and she did outstanding with ensuring everyone's needs were met. Not to mention she's very attractive.....thanks for the great weekend.

The hotel receptionist was very friendly and directed us to a great eatery we could walk to since we'd been driving for hours. Hot breakfast was great. Our room was clean, roomy, with extras like suit steamer. Could definitely use a second bedside table. The only problems that we had with this Hotel was #1 the ONLY drink machine in the building was broke { but it was opened for me by the attendent. #2 there is no store close by within walking distance to get any snack's or drinks #3 we were wakened between 5:30 to 6am by someone plowing the inch of snow off the parkinglot.

Very nice, comfortable beds. There were some major renovations currently happening on our floor which were quite loud until after 7 pm. This, I'm sure is temporary. Nice stay in general. Excellent breakfast.

Very nice hotel, a great deal, as it more of a "suite". Although we were right next to the highway, it was very quiet.

Saw mold in bathtub so that immediatelty put me on edge makes me wonder what else is not up to par that I couldn't see..There was also no hot water in the afternoon when we arrived but later that night after we returned the water was smoking hot so that helped my attitude a lot. We normally stay at the Hampton so maybe I just have high standards.

This is my 4th trip to Winchester. Each time I have stayed at the Wingate. It is a convenient location to SU and surrounding stores. It would be helpful if there was a multi-outlet behind the night stand. There is no place to plug in cell phone chargers or laptop adapters except across the room,

The hotel is located just across the street from several bars/restaurants which we found to be very convenient. It is also a short drive away from Old Town Winchester. The room was very clean and nice, the breakfast was nothing special at all and ends at 9:30AM (!) which is way too early. Stayed here before and had a good time. However this trip was not that good due to the makeover on the 4th floor where we were placed. We had to walk through the construction plus the odor of lime from the "mud" work was very heavy. Fortunately it odor did not work its way into the room. The rooms were very nice and service was good.

Lovely Hotel, huge room. Everyone was really nice, very helpful and the free breakfast good (hot and cold). the hotel is a bit far out of town but we got a very good rate so made up for the taxi in. Winchester in the evening is entertaining so would make the effort to get in if you can.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. Nice amenities in the room...coffee maker, mini frig, WiFi, etc. Great location for visiting parents of Shenandoah University students
