Super 8 Evansville East - Evansville

When I arrived in the afternoon to settle in, the young desk clerk was not very friendly; she handed me a paper to sign, gave me the keys and room #. My son had asked her about the Wifi and she was rather curt in her response to him. I stayed for 2 nights; when I checked out on Saturday morning, there was a different young desk clerk sitting at the […] computer. She looked up at me and waited saying nothing. I told her I was checking out, handed her the keys and gave her my name. She made note and said ok. From both persons, there were never any hellos, welcome, have a safe trip, come again. I don't believe they even smiled. I am in a position to deal with the public all the time and I know what customer service is and this was not it. I needed a place to crash for the night and this fit the bill perfectly. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was adequate, in a pretty decent commercial avenue.

The beds were uncomfortable, very old mattresses, pillows were also old and flat. Service desk had no extra pillows. Night desk clerk unfriendly, didn't smile. The beds were so bad we left at 3:30 in the morning!

Receptionist wasnt very friendly on check-in, wasn't very knowledgable about surrounding area but did change our room from a bottom floor to top floor after I showed her our paperwork specifying top floor only room. There was vomit in the elevator from the night we checked in till the time we checked out but the day receptionist said she would take […] care it after we complained a second time. Overall, room was clean, king size bed was most comfortable, and the coffee was good. The hotel was easy to find, and close to our destination. I accidentally left my wallet in my room, when I went back to get it they told me someone smoked in my room. I told them no one smoked in there. They said they would show me the beds sheets, I agreed then they said they were taken to be washed. I tried to get my wallet but they wouldn't give it to me unless I give them one hundred dollars. The odor was bad to start off with. There seemed to be a smoking odor that was very strong in the hallways. The rooms didn't seem clean at all (We looked at three, before staying in the 4th one.) The beds had lumps on them, and the foundation matress had dirty marks on it. A chunk of something on the curtain. Accumulated dust along the walls and doorways […] where the day to day vacuum wouldn't reach. A very stained washcloth which had been folded to the inside. Towells with lint that stuck in my hair. There was absolutely nothing atrocious about this hotel. Staff was super friendly, breakfast was ok, rooms were good. All in all for the price I could not complain.

i had a very nice stay at this super 8 hotel. they were very friendly to me,my mom and my dog the only problem was the room card didnt always work at the side doors of the building so i had to take my dog through the lobby were other guest were eating.

The service was very good here. The people at the front desk were very helpful. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The room was as expected. No majors issues with the room at all. We reserved a no-smoking with 2 beds. on arrival we were told no no-smoking available - then given what was supposed to be a 1 bed no smoking room. The hall way reeked and the room smelled of smoke! when we booked rooms wanted on the bottom floor and together. they told they didn't have 2 together and 1 was on 2nd floor. which was okay but was to be no-smoking and we could smell smoking in room. so the over all stay was just okay. this is the 2nd stay we have had here and they were just okay.

The room was cheap and for the price it was decent. I liked the microwave and fridge in the room that was a nice touch. The a/c unit worked well. The sink leaked and sprayed my feet when I used it and the carpet under it was wet. Not much of a breakfast with it and it was all packed and gone by 10am. Overall, our stay was pleasant. Our room was not clean. The bathroom had "remnants" from the previous guests. Our coffee pot had not been cleaned in a while.

My husband had to call and complain about the slamming doors and people running up and down the hallway in the middle of the night that lasted all night long. The woman working the front desk was apologetic,professional and very polite.

Great location and we selected it for the location as well as accepting our pet. What got me was a charge for our pet when you could see the carpet was not cleaned in a very long time. All the corners were bad! We watched the average patron and they were construction workers but don't they deserve a clean room as well?

The room I was in smelled bad had a bad and musty oder and the halls did to the beds were not comfortable did not sleep well room sevice was good front desk was good. They need to get new beds and get rid of the smell in all of the motel.
