On the surface the hotel looks old but satisfactory. The service is the worst we have seen and we have used a lot of hotels. The free breakfast had no variety and the restaurant manger should have spent the morning apologizing to the guests for rubbery eggs, and cold food. No clean dishes and the food service was pitiful. The table service was also […] bad. The bar or lounge should have all its staff dismissed or at least trained in costumer service. The bartender was brutal. The location was the reason I choose this hotel, it was close to the hospital I needed to go to. I felt the room to be shabby, the couch was old and worn and the room had an "old" and slightly smokey smell. The bed and blankets were comfortable.

I stayed here for 3 days while on business in Edmonton. Its in a good location near downtown but without the downtown rates, its also a notch above the trucker motels. The common areas are well down but the hotel quickly shows its age. Overall it was good value for the price. The included breakfast was as good as anywhere. Stay was OK. Toilet was dirty when we arrived. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus but the waiting staff were more concerned with ensuring that the breakfast was only enjoyed by the number of guests specified than with replenishing the food.

Mt stay was fine over all. I really enjoyed the continental breakfast included, it was more than just an apple and a granola bar. unfortunatly this was the worst stay at a rimada we have ever had.It started by finding a dirty tampon in our washroom, We ordered room service and waited 2 hrs for it because they had forgotten to write down our room number, Then we had to change room at 11;00 in the evening because the bath tub leaked. Dated hotel. No heat in my room. Had to use hair dryer to warm it up. I called but no one fixed the problem. This hotel needs to be gutted or imploded. Food in bar is bad too. This hot is trapped in the 60s. Avoid it avoid it.

It was quiet and the atmosphere in the lobby alone was worth staying at the hotel. The cleaning staff came in and were gone quicker then a fox. I loved the hotel and i would stay there again.

The staff make this hotel a great place to stay at. Justin and Tara are excellent employees We even had the valentine meal special - 4 course supper and very tasty all for $65 and it also included a movie pass for cineplex for 2 that is good for a year. Yes the hotel is dated but it is kept clean and we would definitely come back

Although they have tried to update and renovate this hotel, it is still an old hotel and a new coat of paint is not going to fix that. The lobby and bar looked ok, but the rooms were awful. I won't stay here again.

Our stay was satisfactory :) breakfast exceeded expectations!!! Blankets on bed were minimal but remedied right away with more brought to our room with a simple request by calling the service desk :)

the staff and service was excellent. the overall appearance of the 12th floor where my room was appalling. The carpet and wall in the hallways were watermarked and very stained. they did not appear to be clean.

Every thing was good except a little attention needed in the bathroom and at check in and out. Shower head needs decalcifing and tub refinishing. Overall a nice place to stay. The check out took longer then expected due to them having to go do a visual inspection of the room. I didn't appreciate the comments about us possiably having parties, but then […] I am native and maybe they ask all the guests the same question??? Also was given the room next to the stairs and pop machine so was kind of difficult to sleep. But if they expected us to party they wanted us close to the pop... The Ramada is a great hotel if you want keep a budget and be close to the Royal Alex hospital. It's location is super easy to get to from the yellowhead and there is ample parking.

I was concerned about staying at this hotel at first but once I got there and seen it I had no concerns. Being 9 months pregnant I wanted something I would feel safe at and was close to where my appointments were and this hotel worked great for me.

They checked me into a room that was not ready. walking through the hallway there was a dirty diaper and the Ramada clerk infront of me didn't pick it up he wakled past it. There was a leak on one floor and carpet stained, the maintenance patch up looked like it has been like that for a long time. The room we've got was fantastic, clean and comfortable. The corridors in the floors miss some colors :) and it looks some old. Just get into your room and enjoy :) The location is a little bit far from downtown, but the free parking is appreciated.

THE STAFF WERE GOOD AND FRIENDLY BUT OUR ROOM WAS COLD NEED TO CALL MAINTENANCE X 2 BEFORE THEY CAME AND FIXED THE HEATER. WE WERE IN A 2 BED ROOM BUT TOILETRIES ARE GOOD FOR SINGLE ACCOMODATION ONLY. THERE WERE NO CLOSETS AND NO EXTRA BEDSHEETS/BLANKETS. LOCATION WAS GOOD CLOSE TO THE MALL.

The hotel was clean and in a good location, but the heater in the room made a horrible noise and when it got windy outside the door to the balcony made a horrible whistling noise. When I told the front desk about it when checking out the lady replied "oh well." Thanks for nothing!

There were only sheets and one very thin blanket on the bed, not enough to keep you warm ! The fire alarm went off at 5:00 in the morning, and we had to evacuate the rooms. It was caused by some drunk but it took 45 minutes before the alarm was turned off and we could be back to the rooms. Then we just got back to sleep ad the had to test the fire alarm […] again, with know notification . Also a fuse went in the room and it was still not fixed 30 minutes later when we had to leave.
