Great Hotel with Great Service at the Hotel, not so great at the built in Champions restaurant, which is a little pricey for a sports bar and the food is only bearable. The Hotel room was clean and large with all the amenities, but when they built the partition walls between the rooms they must have chose "hollow". Very solid Marriott, i was in an executive room and its very spacious and clean. The TV signal was kinda awful, but other than that the room was great. Room service food quality was very good, 1 day had a buffet lunch and it was kinda awful, but other than that all good. "Everything you except from a Marriot and more!"
This is my second stay, hotel is first class all the way. Fabulous bed, pillows, large plasma TV. Service is amazing, they really go the extra mail - for example, my wife had a headache, I called reception and in less then 5 minutes they brought aspirin to the room. Room service comes around several times a day to bring ice, bottle water, extra towels, […] and little treats. In room Internet was free, it is wireless and fast. My only complaint would be that the towels were poor quality. Not the first rate fluffy kind you would expect. I paid more for the executive room. Worth it for sure. Bigger room, Includes breakfast and access to there VIP room. VIP room has snacks, amazing coffee and a decent meal to enjoy at 5:00. Panama is very built up, over built IMO, with many 5 star hotels, and more on the way. I would not stay anywhere else .PS - If you like a Casino there is one in the hotel, small by American standards, but still fun. Also, be careful about using hotel phone. "BAD EXPERIENCE AT THE MARRIOT´S CASINO"
My serious problem with the hotel was the casino ( besides the hotel condition ), wich was a concession, not operated by Marriot, The problem was that I was betting with my wife and dougther and all of us were winning at the roulette , after some time we continued winning and winning. After a while I clearly discover that the croupier in some point […] stopedd the roulette one second before the ball was ready to mark number 5 ( of course I had my bet on number 5 ) it was so obvious that I made my complaint to the croupier but she didnt care , so I went crazy screaming for the way they were cheating me but nobody seems to care, they said " if you dont like the way the roulette is being handled take your chips from the table and go away , and so I did but I was so upset that I told them some bad words. Next morning I made my complaint to the front desk but the response was exactly the same :.........the casino is a concession, we can do nothing about it. It is a shame that a hotel like Marriot doesnt care about the guest problems , I dont care if the casino is a concession or not, the casino is inside the hotel ,. overall nice experience although we stayed only 2 nights. personalized service. I was surprised to hear the staff greeting by my last name[ eventhough it is very difficult to pronounce] everytime I dial the phone for some reason. room service prices are cheaper when compared to out side not so good restaurant prices and room service was great. The staff […] who brought the dinner was very professional looking and courteous. food was ample and very good. room was good. we stayed in an executive room where we had access to lounge where some snacks and drinks[not alcohol] are free 24 hrs. pool was closed now as construction was going on in the adjacent building but they offer pool access in neighbouring hotel with free transportation and that pool was great as per staff. we did not have time to go to pool. pool in marriot is small. overall different[ in nicer way] than usual marriot experience. We just stayed briefly but the hotel was excellent. We did not eat in the restaurant other than for breakfast which was very good. The location was fantastic to get to other restaurants and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again and would love to have more time. The hotel was everything we expected and more. The rooms are huge and very beautiful. The staff was excellent; friendly, helpful and nice. But the restaurant was SLOW!!!!! Almost 1 hour to receive our food at night. 30 minutes at breakfast to receive the menu and coffee. 30 minutes to receive the check. Be preparded to wait. When I visited Panama before, I checked the lobby and employees of Marriott hotel. Also it is located in the center. So it was very convenient to walk around and take a taxi.
