We were here for an annual company party. While this is not the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in, it's definitely pretty good. The staff was generally courteous (even though I wasn't a member of Marriott's reward program), the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Second stay at this hotel. Nice room. Everything worked. Comfortable. Great staff. I unplugged the fridge because I didn't need it and it was humming and wasting energy. This particular room has a rumbling noise being on the backside of the elevator shafts but I did not mind as I am a heavy sleeper. There is a refrigerator in the rooms, but it seems like they should go ahead and install mini-bars for convenience. This was my second time staying at Wardman Park. What a great location! The Metro stop is right at the bottom of the hill. The choice of great restaurants all within a short walk (I mean really short walk) was so great. Best of all Rock Creek Park is just down the hill from the hotel. "A Training to Remember"
The room that I stayed in was on the 4th floor near the elevator. Everytime someone went up or down I could hear it in my room. This included early in the morning and late at night. I literally thought I was at an amusement park. I called the front desk and I was informed that the hotel was booked and they would have management call or come by the room […] the next day. Excellent location for our trip . My only disappointment was that there was not internet connection in the room. They would charge you 12.95 per day. To get internet you have to go to the lobby of the hotel. Even when I did that my lap top would not get a connection. It kept asking me for a payment before connection. Beds were not that comfortable and pillows were small, had to ask for more pillows. The pool was nice except for the lifeguard. We are smokers and did not see any NO SMOKING signs at the pool or in the pool rules, but the lifeguard said we could not smoke. We asked him why, he said because he did not like it. There are ashtrays there for smokers and […] we pointed that out and he said he did not like it. We were courteous to others and we were smoking away from everyone, but he told us to put it out. There were others that were upset about it also. He also closed the pool at 10 when the hotel directory says the pool closes at 11. Many were upset about it. "Great historic hotel, great location"
Beautiful old historic hotel. I always pick to stay on the old historic, haunted side. Awful that they charge so much for parking though. And no room fridges.Autentične Expedia recenzije gostiju
