Very nice hotel with great staff and service. Close to the Imperial Palace and the subway. Safe neighborhood. Quant restaurants nearby. Excellent experience all the way around.

We have visited Osaka, Kyoto & Tokyo during our vacation in early Dec 2011. Among the hotels we booked online, Kyoto Brighton Hotel is the best on service which we stayed there for 2 nights. Most of their staff can speak English and they are also very helpful. They even showed us the map of Kyoto and introduced us the place of interests in Kyoto. Although […] the surrounding of the Hotel do not have any amenties, eatery, shopping areas but there is a shutter bus to nearby subway which can find the amenties & Manga Museum. Superb - couldn't ask for more. Hotel staff couldn't do enough to help. Top quality all round would highly recommend this hotel.

In this vacation, I stayed Brighton for 5 days. Most of time, I spent to read a book in a room. I was able to read a lot of books with good conditions.

we loved this hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. the room was large and luxurious and the staff was lovely. the concierge was very helpful and made sure to give us all the information we needed to get places.

This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in while traveling in Japan for the last 2 weeks. It lives up to the 4.5 star rating. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The Palace is an easy walk, but besides that there are no sightseeing, few restaurants and no cafes or bars within easy walking distance. On the plus side they have an easy shuttle bus that takes you to the subway station every 20 minutes. One thing I wish we would have known was about the shuttle bus. We road the train to Kyoto station and road the subway to the Imadegawa station and walked. It was a pretty good walk with bags. The better option would have been to get off two stops earlier at the Karasumaoike station and go out Exit #1 and the bus picks up here every 20 minutes on the 00, 20 and 40. Would stay here again. The staffs of Kyoto Brighton Hotel always has Japanese service mind. Their service is not too much, but gives us adapted solution which we want.

This hotel had 5 star service at 3 start pricing. The newly renovated rooms are fantastic. Location is not near Kyoto Station but free shuttle bus every 20 minutes to subway or 10 minute walk to bus stop makes this a non-issue. The hotel staff was fantastic. We had two rooms which they arranged side-by-side in advance. We were always able to find someone able to speak English. The people of Brighten are great ambassadors of Japan. We were treated like royalty from the front door entry through our departure stepping into a cab. I loved that everyone there took their job very […] seriously with great care for our complete satisfaction. They will not accept tips for carrying bags or anything else. The great service provided was simply their job and they all did it to perfection. We had impeccably dressed and well-mannered staff that carried our bags, open doors, showed us the room and attended to every need. The room service was excellent. Unlike the US, we were politely asked to call again after finishing dinner to have the meal plates removed. US hotels could learn a lot from seeing how well the Brighten staff treats customers. The best way to get around town is with taxis. They are readily available and very reasonable in cost. We took the bullet-train to Kyoto from Tokyo and then a 5 minute taxi ride to Brighten. One odd thing that I noted in all of our hotel rooms throughout Japan is that they installed bathtubs after tiling, thus leaving a gap where water collects and mold grows. With all of the amazing technology and beautiful rooms, I was surprised to see such a strange and consistent engineering flaw in their construction techniques. I guess that in the transition from traditional bath-houses to western style bathrooms, their plumbers missed this nuance in design. This hotel was an absolute delight for us! We stayed for 2 nights in Oct there and enjoyed the stay very much. The outside of the hotel looks a bit old and demure, but inside it offers space and luxury beyond our expectation. The room is huge and the bath room is fantastic! The only slight drawback is that the location is not very close to the tourist […] attractions (except the royal palace which is not open to the public thus not a happening area), but we took taxis back and forth a few times which was not a problem. Everything was perfect. Only the food prices are quite high in this hotel. Better eat outside.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. Our room was immaculate, large, and comfortable. The staff was professional and courteous. The only downside is that the property is somewhat far from the subway line. I would highly recommend this hotel. You won't find friendlier staff and the rooms were extremely large in comparison with other Japanese hotels which can be a bit of a shoe box at times. They were also very modern and comforable. I have nothing bad to say about it.

There are 3 restaurants, all of which are very expensive. I roamed the neighborhood and found equally good food at reasonable prices with the added benefit of sampling the culture.

Excellent hotel. A little away from the centre but very well sereved by shuttle bus from hotel to subway. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quality and size of room very good.

The Kyoto Brighton is located quite close to Nijo Temple and the Imperial Palace, both are within walking distance. Looking at Kyoto in general where there is a vast amount to see the Brighton is close to both the subway and bus lines which are simple and convenient. The hotel was of the beaten path, but that made it perfect for less noise and crouds than near the rail station. Only 2 blocks from the most beautiful gardens in Kyoto. Perfect for strolls and picnics. Close to conveinience store and both traditional food as well as a great litle burger joint.Staff was GREAT!! Hotel lobby was large and senic. The hotel and staff were excellent! Wonderful staff service and the concierge was most helpful in arranging for transportation and area tours. She set us up with a walking tour guide of nearby Nara where we spent hours learning of the unique town.

At check-in I asked about local sites of interest. Once in my room, the hotel staff called with several options. Once we decided on a location the hotel staff directed the cab driver exactly where I wanted to go and gave me a business card in the local language to give to a cab driver to help us return to the hotel.

This hotel is tops in the field. They know the importance of satisfying a customer. Everything was impeccable - the food, the room, the ambiance.

A favor: es un hotel de lujo, con todas las comodidades de este tipo de hoteles. En contra: es bastante parecido a otros hoteles de lujo en los que hayas podido estar en otras partes. Algunos detalles de decoración japonesa, pero básicamente un hotel "internacional". Además, estaba un poco lejos de todo, y a unos 15 minutos del metro.

とにかくおとなのホテルです。細かいところまで行き届いたサービスに満足です。とくに水がよく、お風呂に入ると翌日は髪さらさら、体スベスベです（個人的感想）。近くにはコンビ二はないので、ホテルに戻る前に烏丸御池あたりで買って戻る必要があります。 澤井醤油にはたくさんの種類の醤油製品があっておすすめです。

В этом отеле мы остановились после поездки в Токио. То, что отель необычный, стало ясно, когда водитель такси, при моей попытке назвать адрес, сказал, что он прекрасно его знает (вспомнилось что найти указанный нами отель в Токио водитель сразу не смог). Действительно, отель популярен, персонал нас встретил очень приветливо, был предупредителен. Быстро […] выполнили формальности и проводили в нашу комнату. После двух других японских отелей она поразила нас своими размерами. Меблировка и оборудование подобраны со вкусом. Большая кровать, диван (козетка) письменный стол с удобным креслом, большой HD телевизор, два телефонных аппарата (Bang & Olufsen), Интернет, у кровати пульт управления освещением с будильником, бар с большим количеством разнообразных напитков, фужеров и т.п., все необходимое для чая, кофе. Прекрасно оборудованная ванная c множеством шампуней, пенок, и т.п., еще один телефон и пульт управления унитазом со множеством функций и дисплеем. Каждый день меняются халаты, пижамы и тапочки. Персонал отзывчив, все просьбы выполняет быстро и наилучшим образом. Всегда посоветуют где интересно провести время и даже предложат пригласительные билеты. Die von uns bewohnte Suite hatte allen erdenklichen Luxus, bei (bedingt durch das Internetbuchungsportal) einem sehr günstigen Preis.

京都での宿泊は駅近くのホテルが多かったのですが、今回は評価など参考にして駅から少し遠かったが、押しつけがましくないフロントや室内スペースも十分で快適でした。京都でコストパーフォーマンスを考えるならお勧めです。

The hotel offered very hight quality rooms and service although it's a little far from the city center. However, there is transportation between the hotel and one metro station for free. The direction of the hotel by metro is not good enough, go to Karasumaoike to wait for the hotel bus is better than go to Imadegawa then walk for 8 min. 一度は泊まってみたい憧れのホテルでしたが、期待通りの大満足でした。京都御苑に近く静かで落ち着いた周囲の環境や、施設・設備の充実だけでなくホスピタリティにあふれるスタッフの皆さんのご案内に感動しました。是非また、行きたいです。

Es un hotel excelente, con un buen servicio en todo las áreas. Lo unico desfavorable es que está a 3 cuadras de una calle principal, pero volvería a este hotel.

Mycket trevligt och bra hotel. Låg inte så centralt men det fungerar väl med buss eller taxi.
