It was perfectly acceptable for a one night stay in the middle of a holiday. However, for a romantic night out we were disappointed in that we requested a king bed and got two double beds. We understood that the king bed was a preference and not guaranteed, but two doubles did not compensate. A Queen would have been acceptable. We are used to a King […] bed at home so we felt like we were crashing into each other all night in the double bed. The 6th floor hallway and our room smelt of an inefficient air freshener. I wish I had known there would be no internet here. I could not contact my family using email/skype or check my seminar details for which I was travelling. After a long, hard and busy day I had to go to Mc Donalds just to get wifi internet. The hotel did not compensate for this. Location inconvenient for business trip. Much more tourist hotel and wouldn't have gone out by myself after dark from location. Right in the middle of Surfers. Would be good if you wanted something close, but getting in and out due to the roadworks was difficult. Always have previously stayed at Broadbeach and will be sure to book there next time. Room […] clean, not so modern but comfortable but I didn’t feel comfortable to leave the door open at night. Good view of the beach from hotel. Room service food was yummy! The hotel is very busy with a high turnover of guests. the staff were helpful. General cleanliness and room comfort were fair. Stayed in refurbished deluxe room but bathroom very basic and did not appear recently refurbished. More 3 star than 4 but comfortably basic. The hotel is clean and comfortable, but a little dated. Our TV was old and did not function properly, air con also played up a bit. Our room was cleaned and made up everyday, only minus was it obviously did not get a vacuum on the 2nd day. So we requested it at reception and it was all good after that. Rooms were clean but with a change of towels left on the TV cabinet and all the old towels that were in the bathroom on the floor were left and not removed was less than pleasing. "Great stay for the easygoing traveller & families."
The overall appearance of the hotel is very up to date. I wouldn't recommend it if you are after an ultra high end modern stay. its great for families and the easy going traveller. it is still up to high standards and classy though the inside of the room finishes are still a bit dated and resembles the 1990's. although very clean and spacious. The standard […] room balcony view is great! The location is absolutely perfect as it links to the local Malls and entertainment without having to cross the street! and the beach is just 2 mins away! "Won't be back"
This was not my first choice of hotel. I really wanted to stay at another hotel close by but because we had stayed at this hotel previously we chose this one. I only wish now that I had listened to my instinct and stayed at my first choice. Unfortunately this was probably my last time staying here. There are so many new and wonderful accommdation choices […] available. We checked out of the hotel at 10.00am. By 2.00pm I realised we had left an item of clothing in the wardrobe. We phoned the lost property at the hotel only to be told there was no sign of the item anywhere to be found. The shirt was definately hanging in the wardrobe when we checked out. "Rude female Manager"
They have just opened a nice new bar but closed it at 9 30 without notice on a Friday Saturday night .There were 20 people came in for a brink and when i complained the lady night manager told us to go outside there were plenty of bars opened How rude .I intend to complain to the hotel WE had brought friends back for a nice drink .As for your part we […] have no complaints at all.
