Hotel interior far better than the exterior (at least in December!) Room clean and comfortable. Pool on the small side (15x10m) and a little chilly. Basic hotel buffet breakfast (we ate out). Very close to a good wine merchant!

The hotel was very nice. The location is in a residential neighbourhood. We had a rental car and the roads leading to the hotel are very narrow. Often there are cars parked on both sides of the street and only one car can drive down the street at a time.

This hotel was a bit of an unknown quantity for us when we booked our four-night stay in December '11 but it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The first thing to say is that it is a little bit out from the centre of town - but for us that was a plus point. It's situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood and up a bit of a hill too so wouldn't […] really suit someone in search of a busy city-centre location or if you don't have a car and aren't fond of a brisk walk. Anyway, allow about 25 minutes to walk there or 5 minutes in a taxi from the main railway station. The hotel has been refurbished in the recent past and this gives it a nice fresh appeal. The public areas are spotlessly clean and there is a pleasant - but fairly small - bar and seating area just off the main reception. The breakfast room is light and airy with lovely clean furniture and fittings which make for a very pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast is charged extra at 9 Euros or so per person per day but it's of an excellent standard with plenty of choice from a hot and cold buffet. We were on the 5th floor and there was a lovely big sofa on our landing with a shelf full of books to read if you feel like a bit of down-time. Our room itself was immaculately clean - it was a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor which really was pleasant - and, with a huge king size bed, there was plenty of space in the main part of the room. The only thing to comment on was that our bathroom was remarkably small - less than three square metres - with a tiny shower cubicle, no bath and no counter top to set out your stuff. Having said that it was clean and pleasant with a large mirror, a hairdryer and power outlet for shavers etc. The room had an LCD TV (which we didn't use so can't comment on the choice of channels), writing desk, decent wardrobe, a couple of easy chairs and the large windows had blackout shutters on the outside in the usual German tradition. The Hotel staff where very helpful, we asked lots of questions and they answered all our requests, mainly for buses or trains to places. By looking on the internet.. It is in a very quite location about 20 min to 30 min walk from Stuttgart main train station. The only thing that we did find strange as in UK we have tea and coffee in the room , Germany […] does not. We was looking forward to a nice cup of tea after all the travelling. may be a bit expencive without an Expedia deal but very good, very quiet location with only three bus stops to down town. 24 hour bar and snack service but no restaurant close. Stuttgart has an exellent public transportation system, ask for the StuttCard!

All in all a very nice stay. Staff were helpful, hotel was clean and comfortable. This hotel is located in a residential area so there is a curfew for the outdoor garden area - no drinks outside after 10. Breakfast is not included with a room and is a bit pricey. I didn't notice that and wound up with a large bill upon checkout.

Difficult to review this hotel. The room on one level was perfect; good size, comfortable. However, why no tea and coffee making facilities? Very difficult to control the heat in the room as the radiator valves were obscured; it was too hot. There was too much noise transference between the rooms and above. Ich habe in Stuttgart nur ein Hotel mit Pool gesucht, was nicht ganz so teuer und trotzdem nicht so weit vom Stadtzenrum entfernt ist.Das Hotel Azenberg ist ein hübsches kleines Hotel, nicht mehr so ganz neu, aber mit viel Charme. Der kleine Pool hat mir gut gefallen, man konnte dort in Ruhe seine Runden drehen.Was mir bei meinem Aufenthalt nicht so […] gefallen hat, war der Frühstücksservice. Die Dame war lieb und freundlich, das ist keine Frage, aber wenn ein Gast erst später zum Frühstück kommt, und keine Gedecke mehr auf dem Tisch sind, dann kann man doch erwarten, dass der Frühstücksservice von alleine darauf kommt, Besteck und Serviette einzudecken ohne das man erst konkret danach fragen muß. Das ist mir bei drei Übernachtungen immerhin zweimal passiert. Auch den Teesamowar fand ich sehr schön, aber es ist lächerlich wenn er ständich aufheizt, aber kein Wasser drin ist und man sich selbst keinen Tee aufbrühen kann. Pročitajte više
