The location was near enough to Long Beach, so that was good. However, there is a gap between many of the entrance doors into the rooms and floor, so we had unexpected mice visitors for 2 of the nights.

Pretty negative experience here. Somehow got stuck in a smoking room against my wishes. The neighborhood felt dangerous too.

"Thought it wasn't possible..."
for this hotel to be as TERRIBLE as it was repeatedly reviewed. I chose this location over several other hotels in the vacinity due to the fact I had faith in a known brand name such as Days Inn. Long story short, walking into my room, it smelled as if someone literally had JUST put out a cigarette. I then immediately proceeded to check all drawers […] in the room to make sure there were none of the unpleasant surprises I had read about repeatedly. Lo and behold, the first drawer i opened contained an open half used container of lube, the next, dirty washcloths, another drawer contained dirty underwear and yet another dirty socks. I asked that my room be changed immediately & was moved into a "clean" double room that had cigarette burns in the blankets and a pile of ashes on either side of both beds "housekeeping" had failed to reach with a vacuum. Needless to say, I slept on top of all bedding with the heat on high because I would not trust the cleanliness of this place. The 0 button to call the front desk didnt work, i had to walk there each time. There was only basic cable, no HBO. There was no remote, no channel buttons on the tv and the volume buttons turned the TV off. no extra toilet paper, less than half a roll & describing this experience is taking up too much of my life to continue. "Days Inn on Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach, CA"
The staff and room were good, but we had a bad experience. The people right above us were noisy all night. We called the hotel desk repeatedly to handle the situation. I eventually went to the desk in person and asked to have the situation handled. At 430am, they were yelling and the police had to finally get called. I have never had this happen to […] me at any hotel I have ever gone to. This should have been taken care of immediately. If it was not for this, we would have had a pleasant stay. In the morning I spoke with the hotel manager about this. All he said was yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I have been to other Days inn hotels and have had no problems. The first night i was there i was awake off and on most of the night from parting noise. The second night i had to call the front desk to get the noise from kids running back and forth on the balcony where i was, At five in the morning i was awakened by people slamming doors. I CHECKED OUT A DAY EARLIER AND FOUND A DIFFERENT PLACE TO STAY.
The room smelled of smoke. Other than that It was more than I expected for the price we paid. I would stay there again, But I would bring a Scentsy plug in to ease the smell.

This place was so horrible we checked out after 2 hours. The staff was horrible. We called the lobby to complain about the people upstairs and the hotel staff told the people upstairs that we had complained. We've stayed here off and on about four times... once for an entire week. The building is concrete so you'll get cold feet walking in and out of the bathroom. This Day's Inn is run like a franchise. There's a mini coffee maker in the room. There's nice soaps, shampoo and skin cream. The WiFi is free and reliable but the owner does not refund if you […] leave early. The rooms upstairs are nicer. There's cathredal ceilings with big wood cross beams which have an alpine look. The upstairs bathrooms also have skylights. This is the nicest motel on Pacific Coast Highway. That said, you should try to avoid getting a room next to a staircase. I was there last time and it was rather noisy. Would not recommend to anyone. Carpet was so filty, we had to walk around with our shoes on. Bath room tub was so nasty, we had to take shower with our shower shoes on. Please take this hotel off you list.

The comforter had numerous holes in it that you could stick a finger through. The remote didn't work. The heating unit was so noisy that you couldn't sleep. Had to ask for a room change after one night.

We checked in at midnight from a long drive. When I was about to sleep, I saw a big bed bug crawling on my pillow and that made it difficult for me to sleep - wondering how many more are in the bed that we're sleeping on and might attack us.

I travel a lot and this had to be the most filthy room I have ever stayed in. The beds had not been made there were two pillows with no covers on them and one of them had a stain like blood on it. "My Days in Days Inn"
Carpet is Dirty. No ironing board and iron. Towels are dirty (white towels are turning brown). I don't consider that the hotel have continental breakfast. Manaement is too cheap for the continental breakfast.

The hotel itself wasnt bad at all. Reading some of the other reviews I was hesitant to stay here but my experiece was a good one. The area isn't the best but its not the worse either. The staff was nice, the room was clean and it is perfect for a couple day stay. I would stay there again.

The room was clean. The matresses semed new and comfortable. The back of the hotel faces an elementary school. There isn't really much noise even when there is recess. There are bars on the first floor rear windows and the windows do not lock.

Air conditioner was far to loud to sleep through but it was to hot not to have on. Person on reception barely said hello, just demanded my Id and credit card and didnt even direct us to our room. Clean room but nothing flash at all. use your own judgement for this place I think.

I was surprised to see how nice the room was considering the neighborhood it was in. The neighborhood wasn't a bad area but at the same time it wasn't a great area either.
Room was perfect for a short stay. Service could be better. Need people that can speak English. I asked the maid for some assistance and she just kept repeating, "uh huh". I'm sure she had no idea of what I was saying. I would stay there again.

I would not suggest this hotel. The walls are paper thin. We coulf hear the tub being filled at 2:00 in the morning. Then unclassey people up all night. Dirty parking lot, mold in the shower and the carpets were fifthy.

Reservations were made by phone. Requested a ground floor w/no smoking. On arrival we were told there was no grond floor available and only smoking available. Finally got an upper floor unit in non smoking. There was something very sticky and black that we walked thru going up the stairs and it tracked all over the floor. Unit very cramped with old […] bedding including sheets. On 2nd day sheets were not changed. Only half of the towels replaced. No shampoo, cups for coffee, or coffee replaced. Check in time was at 3 pm, room was not ready until 3:30, we stood there as the room was being cleaned.Upon entering the room, I found pieces of broken glass all over the bathroom floor, did not like that at all since my daughter was with me. Also, room was to be non smoking and I was given a smokers room, a BIG problem for a child with asthma.
