This hotel was fine for our one-night stay. Pros: nice staff, clean room, good price. Cons: a bit musty (older hotel), loud ac unit. Overall it was a good stay.

We spent two nights here and traveled while there. It was a nice quiet place to come back to at night. Breakfast was very nice and front desk was very helpful! One of the best hotels of our trip!

Located on Beach Blvd one half mile south of the 405 freeway. Commercial neighborhood, across the street from a center featuring Target, Pavillion, Panera,Marie Callendar's and the Lazy Dog Cafe. "One night only, this one is okay."
This hotel was perfect for the first night of our honeymoon. But the next day, after leaving our room for four hours and requesting maid service, no one had gotten to our room by 3:00. We repeated our request to the front desk and left again. When we returned at 6:00 pm the maid had not yet finished and had to go get towels. Further, we had paid extra […] for a room with a balcony and champagne. The champagne was not replaced for the second night so we asked the maid about it. She said she would bring it, but did not. An hour later my husband had to go to the front desk and explain that we had paid extra for champagne and finally received it. The hotel was convenient, and the room nice. The other thing to consider here is that all the room doors exit to the outdoors. Since this was a particularly rainy and windy weekend it was a cold, wet. long walk from parking lot or dining room to hotel room. "HUNTINGTON BEACH LOCATION"
The walls of the roon are way to thin and I was up all night due to people throwing parties on both sides. I called the front desk to complain and no one went to check on the room to tell them to quiet down.
This was NOT a suite. I just had a pony wall that was about 12" long. No desk to set up my lap top. Lots of dents and dings on the doors and walls. Hair in the toilet.. I don't even want to know about that..Wires running from the TV down the wall. The exterior was really dirty. Not kept up or clean. The paint was peeling off the wood on our balcony. […] I can tell it must have been another hotel in the past. There was bright blue paint peeling up from the burgundy paint on the balcony. It was way over priced for the room. I could hardly turn around in the bathroom.. Although I must say that the staff was very nice and helpful.. But, I could tell the the owner isn't putting the money into the property to help with the up keep.. Also, the bellmans carts were very difficult to use. The tires would not roll down the slanted outdoor corridors. We kept bashing into the walls and had to move the housekeeping carts out of our way so that we could move around then in the tight and thin corridors. This lodging is at a very convenient location that is close to a number of shopping centers and restaurants. The room is clean and the staff is very responsive to your needs. This is a good value lodging and I like the free breakfast and internnet connection.

Was looking for an overnight getaway. We had a great time walking around downtown Hunington Beach. Hotel had a Super Target right across the street was handy. Lots of Restraunts close by. Was a little further from the beach than expected, only 5 miles but lots of signals. Overall was good location not far from freeway. "Had all of the amenities I need"
The hotel had exactly what I needed this trip; a clean bed, shower, fridge, and a microwave. We all slept comfortably and I was amazed at how close it was to everything. The beach was only about 5 minutes away and across the street was a Starbucks and Einsteins Bagels. Loved that they had free covered parking and a hot continental breakfast. I very much enjoyed our stay, the staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was actually delicious. room was very clean and bed was quite comfortable, would definately stay there again.
"A bit on the scary side"
It was interesting stay we had. Our door didn't close all the way so we made sure any personal items were taken with us since the front desk told us maintenance wasn't available anymore for the evening when we checked in. "Comfort suites"
Booked the room over the phone and told the room was rated 4 on cleanliness. We waited 15 minutes to look at a room while the mgr helped train an employee at the front desk. The elevator smelled like a port-a-potty and the room was just as bad. It also felt unsafe. Comfort inn booking gave very inaccurate information.
"A solid bargain"
In my price range, I am always taking a bit of a chance. I lucked out here though. The only problem was the iron didn't work. A beautiful breakfast buffet (with eggs! not just cereal)--clean room--a shower with some power--and a straight shot down the road to the beach a few minutes away.

"Great comfort and amenities at a great price!"
This hotel has a great staff, very informative and comforting, and the room had everything my family and I needed. It comes with a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and coffee, blow dryer, free wi-fi, and much more! It was great to have everything in a cozy room at such a great price. I will recommend this hotel to anyone!

"walls"
I wish ALL hotels would sound proof the rooma. This particular one is located next to an open 24 hr Jack in the Box. Thus I could mildly hear orders taken all night and I was there for the soul purpose to sleep as much as my body would allow to recover from fatigue. Other wise all was well.
Great hotel for the price. Our microwave broke, but other than that a very good value.

It has everything I wanted. The only thing i recommend to would be travelers is try to get a room away from the street, traffic noise. Please book it at hotels.com you will get a better deal. Let me start out by saying that I really wanted to like this hotel. It's in a much more convenient area for my girlfriend and I, and on paper it seems nicer than the place we normally stay at. I'll just go through the problems I had and when I had them. First thing I do at any hotel is put my stuff into the drawers/cabinets/etc. Here the drawers are […] a bit to close to the bed and if you're using them, no one can pass through to get to the bathroom. The bathroom is actually nicer than most places, but the sink is right where the door swings open. So if you want to use the sink real quick, you have to close the door behind you. And if someone else needs to come in real quick, they're going to hit you with the door. I wish I had taken pictures of this, because it's kind of unbelievable how poorly this was designed. Our first night there was nice & peaceful. The second night was a whole other situation. About 1am another guest was locked out of his room after what I can only hope was a night spent drinking somewhere else. For the next hour and a half we had to hear him yell, pound, and scream about being locked out. I understand this isn't the hotels fault, but after 15-20 minutes, this should have been taken care of. They should have called the police, gotten him calmed down, or off property so that myself and any other guests were not interrupted. Finally, I'm unsure if it's any connection to my former complaint, but my girlfriend had 2 car magnets stolen off her car. Now let me clearly explain where she parked. Her car was in a covered parking area underneath the 2nd floor. It was pretty far off and I have a hard time believing someone came off of the street ant took them. The car was nowhere near even being visible from the street. When she found out I was actually on my way to a family gathering, so I couldn't go up to the front desk myself. We only stayed for one night but the continental breakfast was great! Make it yourself Belgian waffles were a big hit with the kids! And the staff were nice and helpful. I would stay there again!

"Hotel Cali"
The hotel and service was nice up until Thursday with another front desk person was not too friendly. The only real problem with the room was the bed frame, the wheels stuck out too far. All the doors in the room could use adjustments especially the dressers.
loved this hotel, we were made to feel very welcome, close to shops and beach area, excellent breakfast, Ray you are a asset to this hotel we loved your humour, front staff were very good in there roles, rooms were very clean and well maintained, thank you for a lovely stay at huntington beach
"Met expectations"
Spent two nights here while attending a Softball Tourney at nearby Golden West College. A bit more than what I would normally pay for this class of Hotel, but that is the market rate when you are in So. Cal and so close to Beach. Room was clean and comfortable and extremely close to most everything we needed. Would stay here again.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, the rooms were extremely clean and well decorated it felt amazing to get there after sightseeing all day and be able to relax and take a shower in their cute bathroom, hanging out in the room wa comfy and nice as well. The breakfast was delicious it makes me hungry when I think about it lol They have parking […] that its all around the hotel so you're always next to the entrance or the elevators. They have a clean laundry and fitness center, free lemonade, water and pop corn! They have free WiFi and also a computer you can use and print up to 5 pages for free! I reccommend it if you travel by yourself, if you're a couple or a family, I think it would make feel comfortable all kinds of travelers, business and vacation. the price was right, especially for a king bed and a sleeper in the room. i only have to gripes about the place: the sleeper is a health hazard if you have any kind of back issue; the mattress is so thin that you are really sleeping on the metal frame. better sleep on the couch part of it if you can fit in it. the other grip is the shower head: fil […] thy!
