Budapest Marriott Hotel - Budimpešta

We had river views of the Danube river. The hotel has a great dessert & tea service. Also, the restaurant Peppers is a very nice restaurant. The location of the hotel is great and we really loved our stay in Budapest.

Really great location and very good service from all - one the best breakfasts I have had in long time. Only fault is antiquated system of charging for internet - it would be ok to pay the really high fee if it at least covered all devices but for all of us modern people with phones, IPADS and PCs this is a major inconvenience.

Excellent location right on the river between the Chain and Elizabeth bridges, several restaurants by the river just minutes away from the hotel and the Vaci ucta is 5 mins walk with plenty of bars/restaurants and shops. Hotel room was really nice, clean, spacious, two double beds were very comfortable, good size bathroom, great view of the Danube. […] Staff were very helpful and efficient. Breakfast was really good, loads to chose from and you can get freshly cooked eggs and omelettes. We stayed for 2 nights in December 2012, and found it the perfect location for accessing all the major tourist sites. It's about 10 mins walk (or less) to the Chain Bridge, another 5 to Buda Castle, 10 minutes in the other direction to Gellert Baths, and only 5 minutes walk to Vorosmarty Square. I couldn't fault the staff - they were friendly, efficient, […] and spoke excellent English. The breakfast buffet included in the price had a very decent selection - just be warned it's worth getting there early on a Sunday morning to avoid the 8.30 - 9.00 rush. The only reason I'm not giving this hotel a 5 is that our room smelt a little of smoke. This might have been from a previous occupant, or may have been coming through the ventilation. It didn't bother us enough to ask to switch rooms, and Eastern Europe seems to have a different attitude to smoking compared to Western Europe. Pročitajte više

From the outside the hotel did not blend in with its surroundings, however the view from our room and the interior decor were great. It was good to have the use of the executive area for breakfast and to be able to sit in there anytime with food and drink freely available. Not happy at All! Bath tub too Narrow , very easy to slip. Provides non slippery mat which gurantees you to slip and fall, charges for every little thing, $5 for small water bottle, $30 Euros for Internet, has 1 weight scale that do not work but cost you to borrow, computor usage charges extra, steep charges for everything including hotel stays, ( much […] higher then what we paid in " Poland, Austria, Germany, Czeck Rupblic ) Overall condition of hotel is below 4 Star. Great Location with spectacular views. Confortable and spacious rooms not always easy to find in Europe. Breakfast very good, but a bit crowded. Though maybe not as glamourous as other nearby hotels the Marriott is an excelent value for the money.

Every room has view to Danube river, is a five star hotel with no free wi-fi for guests inside rooms, only wired; free wi-fi for one hour in bar if you drink or eat. That was dissapointing for me and my teenage daughter.

Nice, clean hotel with lovely breakfast and very pleasant bar area. Only complaint is that people can smoke in areas of the bar but this is Hungary and they've not banned it in all interiors yet; let's hope they do.

Overall, the experience was great. Rooms were large and comfortable, 24 hour gym and very central to all the tourist sites. Good restaurants with free wi-fi if you bought drinks or food. The concierge service would be all that I would complain about. Several of the conciege employees were not very helpful and couldn't answer simple questions, like what […] is the cheapest way to get to the airport and had to be prompted by options we had found in our guidebook. Marriott Budapest is a superb hotel, friendly staff, excellent service and perfectly situated within easy reach of almost any part of the city. The view from our room was fantastic during the day, but even more spectacular in the evening. Fabulous hotel in a fabulous city. Would definately stay there again.

Not only was there plenty of space in the room, the bedding was first class. The staff was attentive. The fitness center was one of the best we have ever found in a hotel. Great hotel. Nicely located.

I arrived the day the new Aqua Nightclub was opening, my room was on the top floor of the hotel, at 10:00pm I called the front desk and asked how much longer the noise was going to keep me awake. They turned it down after some discussion, but just after midnight, the entire hotel got 20 minutes of music. I was assured that it was only for that one […] night by the night manager, but it continued every night (except Sunday) until a little after midnight. When I checked-in I asked about the stage and what was going on and if they noticed I had requested a quiet room with my reservation and was told the music was only until 10pm but for $55.00 more per night I could more to the top floor, where it would be quieter. I did that and it didn't make any difference with the noise. It's to bad that the hotel forgets why it's there, for people to sleep, not dance in their rooms at night. I found the food excellent, but very expensive and the room (top floor) was good, the bathroom was outdated. I would eat there again, but not stay there. Pročitajte više

Hotel in wonderful location for all sightseeing etc. Buffet breakfast excellent and with a wonderful choice of food. Service wonderful and staff friendly. Drinks pricey but nice ambience overlooking the danube at night. Would stay there again so that says it all.

This hotel is beautifully located in the centre of the old town on the Danube.The breakfast is the most extensive I have seen anywhere in the world.And the price for our night's stay including breakfast was exceptionally cheap(shows the value now of the $A).A high quality venue.

We found the room comfortable and the view was spectacular. The location is convenient. However one of the reasons we chose the hotel was that the hotel listed internet as provided. As it turned out internet was available for a very high surcharge. We find this annoying. For the price we paid we expected the little extras to be included. Employees at […] this hotel were much less helpful than in other hotels that we stayed. In spite of the beautiful view and the convenient location I think we would choose another hotel next time. Lots of nice things about his hotel but it was not 5 star quality, more like 3 star. Location excellent and the building is lovely and in good condition. The reception staff were not overly helpful, this was due to poor english but also an "I'm far too busy to help you out" attitude. Breakfast was the usual buffet and the staff here were good. The […] worst point about this so called 5 star were that the hotel was heated up to the max! 22C outside and all the heating on inside (with no AC). Very uncomfortable indeed. Added to this is that they do not have tea or coffee facilities in the rooms either. We asked at reception but we were told we would have to order (and pay for) room service - just for a cup of coffee in your own room (!) How ridiculous!! The beds in the room we had were uncomfortable also. I am used to the Marriott brand and have visited many around the world but this did not meet my expectations.
