Amathus Beach Hotel Paphos - Pafos

The Hotel was just lovely, the whole place looked fantastic and all staff were friendly and helpful. The Breackfasts were fantastic and we made sure to never miss a single one. It was just the right distance from the town for a lovely gental walk along the beach without being too far, but if you didnt want to go too far there were enough resturants […] and bars close by so you didnt have to go anywhere. The spa was beautiful & so relaxing, the only thing it was missing was a jacuzzie, but that really didnt matter due to everything else being fab. The rooms were a little dated, but were kept clean & tidy, so really did not notice, & every other aspect of the hotel have been improved & kept up to date, making it a beautiful place to spend a lovely holiday. If I have to come up with anything that was really a fault we did go a little too late in November & due to the outdoor pool not being heated it was un-usable, but the indoor one was still good. Also prices for everything in the hotel, food, drinks, etc were all too expencive, meaning we could not eat or drink there. However there was so many other places close by we were never short of places to go. My highest recomendation can be given, as my boyfriend and I do not go the the same place twice as always aim to try new places to see as much of the world as possible, however if we were to ever pick somewhere to return to, this would be the top of our list. This hotel is advertising as a five star hotel when in reality when you arrive it equates to a 3 star. It appears that the problem is they are cutting corners with staff who are mainly students and paying them very little. These staff are inexperienced and usually having to work to subsidise their education costs. They have no real experience or communication […] skills. But I do not blame the staff it is the hotel managemant. I tried to order a bottle of wine from the menu each I was told on at least 5 occasions they did not have the wine I requested and was offered an inferior wine not on the menu at the same price, averagibg 40-60 euros. You can buy a beverage card at a daily cost of 45 euros per a day, this includes water which is otherwise charged at 7 euros for a small bottle and other beverages etc... But there are restrictions only the cheap nasty stuff available on card..I only stayed there a week wih my son who had graduated at University and I can catagorically say I would never stay here again. The sports room had broken pool table, broken table tennis bats etc.... A real shambles calling this a 5 star ripping off customer at 5 star prices & offering guists 3 star facilities!!! This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed at. The beach facilities were excellent. We will stay at this hotel again when we next visit Cyprus.

We loved every minute of our time at the Amathus beach hotel in Pathos.... the staff were very friendly and helpful and out wedding day was very special! The weather was superb, the hotel clean and friendly with stunning views. The staff got all the little things right which made a big difference to our stay.... we will be going back!

The main hotel decor is a little dated along the corridor and in the rooms. However, the rest of the hotel was extremely modern. There is little on offer in terms of local cuisine at the hotel and therefore we ventured out to the local area on most evenings. Very nice Hotel, would stay again, wouldn't say It was 5 star. On the negative side, Drink prices very expensive, Dress code very out of date.

The hotel offered a wonderful welcome and excellent service both at reception and in the hotel restaurants. The pool and gardens provided a marvellous space for relaxation with poolside service for drinks and icecreams

Excellent, we had a lovely weeked at Paphos Amathus. Very good service, very clean rooms and public places, excellent spa, friendly and professional personnel and on overall a great place to relax and enjoy your holidays. Highly recommended!

Make no bones about it this is a very well run hotel . The public spaces are attractive and impressive in both style and scale .The staff are pleasant and attentive without being intrusive .We did not eat in the restaurants however were impressed with the quality and scope of the breakfasts . A minor point would be that the indoor pool would benefit […] from a gentle spruce up but nothing major We hade a sea view room which was well sized and comfortable . Would I go back ? Yes ,in a flash , in early or late summer to enjoy the outdoor facilities . No , to the winter because Paphos is not a winter resort . The hotel staff were welcoming and attentive and always on-hand to help with any arrangements. My hotel room was spacious, however the furniture and decor was rather tired looking and in need of updating which was a little disppointing as it bore no resemblence to the pictures of the rooms shown on the website. The hotel was good but the food let it down badly. The meals were virtually all buffet - for a 5* hotel? The only al la carte resturant was Asian - no problem there but the prices were far too high and not the quality to match. The staff were good and friendly and the rooms good. I have just come back from a great five night break at the Amathus Beach. This is the most friendly hotel I've ever said in!! The service was excellent too, along with very good food- the breakfast buffet and Italian buffet are superb. There are a couple of nice bars with lovely, friendly ladies always ready with a smile and they will look after you […] well. The pool area is great with loads of sunbeds, although get your towel before sitting down for breakfast! My room was fine, with a huge double bed and it was kept spotlessly clean. I enjoyed my stay so much that on my return I checked prices for a return trip next month. I can unreservedly recommend this hotel- book it and you won't be disappointed. Pročitajte više

this was the sixth time visited the hotel.couldnt wait to get there again.arrived late ish in the evening to very nice packed evening meals and wine.reception was as ever accommodating with easy check in and luggage transport to room.we had sea/pool view room which was on the end of the hotel so had spectacular views.spacious comfortable huge king size […] bed,lovely bathroom which had a side window for extra light and fresh air,and superb ice cold air con..37 degrees outside.pool area superbly clean,lots of sun loungers and clean towels,excellent areas for the little ones having there own pool plus big steps to the very large big pool which was shallow in large areas.food was excellent breakfast amazing lunch by the pool or resturant,choice of venues for evening meal.the outdoor italian is fantastic.toliets changing rooms all top class as to be expected.very nice class of people there too.overall top class hotel excellent facilites well worth a couple of weeks Pročitajte više

Over all very good. Shared areas of the hotel were of exceptionally high standard. Rooms were spatious, but could use some refurbishment.
