was our first time to stay in this hotel, the staff was very pleaseant ,the room was very confortable, but we have overflow on the shower and it was very disturbing have the service to come in into our room to check the shower, then have to ask to move to another room, instead of offered us to move.

"Don't rely on the driver"
Hotel is fine, but the free shuttle service works at the discretion of the staff. We were promised a lift back from the Home Depot Stadium, but driver failed to turn up. I booked the hotel on this service, so could have saved money and took the taxis. If you are off to see the Galaxy or Chivas with a young sibiling or two then don't book on the hotels […] offer of free transportation. The second mis informed sell from Hotels.com on my trip. We were staying in a different hotel which turn out to be very expensive, so we decided to look for another option. we found this hotel at a great price, and it was more beautiful, modern and cheaper!

We needed a place to stay Saturday night before our Carnival Cruise. I couldnt find a honest review on any hotels in Long Beach Area. This hotel is being remodeled, but it's almost done. And it's gorgeous. We had 4 to a room and it was roomy. There's also a Subway, Donuts and another restaurant across street. They also had their own restaurant/bar. "Convenient Hotel in Carson"
I really liked this hotel for its convenience (close to the highway) and for how clean and quiet it was. I'm a light sleeper so quiet rooms are really important to me. This hotel was perfect for us to come back to for a good night sleep. However I would not choose this hotel for a place to lounge in the pool and take in the sights. Double Tree in Carson is most always my first choice for stays when I am in LA. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the rooms are nice. Enjoyed my last stay, as expected!

From the time I reached the Front Desk rep to the time I check out, I enjoyed my stay. I drive into town and most always arrive late and the staff is always courteous when checking me in and the warm cookie is the icing on the cake to welcome me for my stay. We stayed here for a week in LA. The hotel itself was clean and the staff very friendly. It is near the freeway and took us about 25 mins to get to Universal studios and 20 to Venice beach. Food in the restaurant was good and there are plenty of cheap places to eat locally. Good pool and excellent gym.

OLD - NEEDS ROOM RENOVATION - HOUSEKEEPING WAS LACKING AS SAME LINT/DIRT ON CARPET & BATH FLOOR WAS THERE BOTH DAYS WE STAYED; ICE MACHINE ON ALL SEVEN FLOORS INOP - NOTIFIED STAFF & THEY WERE SOMEWHAT INDIFFERENT BUT THEY DID GET US ICE FROM THE KITCHEN/DINING AREA; WE HAD TO BRING THE ICE BUCKET TO THE FRONT DESK.

Booked a couple rooms at the Doubletree Carson for my family prior to a Carnival Cruise departure. The location is extremely convenient to the Long Beach Cruise Terminal, the staff was great, and they even provide a great deal to park your car for the length of your cruise (providing shuttle service to and from the Cruise Terminal). The parking fee […] for the week is cheaper than what you'll pay at the Cruise Terminal, just be sure to book the Park and Cruise package. With that package, you also get coupons for four free drinks at the hotel bar, and four free breakfasts (without the coupon, breakfast would have been $60). Great deal and great hotel. "Nice hotel and convenient"
We utilized the Park and Cruise for our week long cruise because it was much cheaper than parking at the pier. The parking lot was well lit and I felt comfortable leaving my vehicle at their hotel. I don't know if they offer covered parking, but I don't mind (I didn't drive all the kids in the Lamborghini, just the minivan). The shuttle was helpful […] and friendly, even when I left my wallet in the shuttle (thank goodness I found it before the ship sailed). Overall this hotel was clean and quiet. We requested a non-smoking room, because my daughter is alergic to smoke. The woman at the desk assured us that it was a non-smoking room, on a smoking floor. The room reaked of smoke and had an ashtray in the room. Finally, when we confronted her, she put us into a handicaped non-smoking room. We had to repack and move up a floor...away from the rest […] of our family. They also put a pending charge of $50 for each room on our credit card. Booked a room here for the night before and the night after our cruise. Took the pressure off preparing for our first cruise. Hotel offered a great deal including free parking for the duration of our cruise, transportation to and from the port and complimentary brunch buffet for all four in our party even though we only booked 1 room. This was a wonderful hotel, conveniently located to the pier for the cruise. Transportation to an from the ship was very punctual. All personnel were extremely helpful. The only recommendation would be to add non-slip decals to to tub bottoms.

Could not find a hotel in Long Beach, had a show at the convention center, went 6 miles up the freeway and stayed right off the freeway at the DoubleTree HOtel. Very convenient location, great parking, great cookies upon check in and room was clean.

The front desk staff and restaurant staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They spent a good deal of time telling us their personal favorite dining places in Pasadena (we were there for the Rose Bowl), as well as printing off our boarding passes when the computer in the business office kept kicking us off. It was a very enjoyable stay.
Was not too sure about the hotel but after reading the reviews it was well worth it. Very nice and the cookies upon arrival were great. The deal I got came with free breakfast buffet! Staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitly stay here again.
