Grand Hotel Des Iles Borromees - Stresa

This was my third time at this hotel and my stay was as perfect as the other two, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Stresa. In fact, I'm already planning my next trip there which will be this June.

this hotel was exceptional. beautiful inside and out with a very professional and helpful staff. we didn't want to leave. located on a fabulous lake situated in a cute little village with views of the alps close by. i would go back in an instant.

simply one of the best hotels i've stayed in - try for the first floor of rooms with garden view if you want a big terrace!

Got a great deal on this exceptional hotel on your web site, unfortunately only available for one day, but well worht it. Beautiful, lux accommodations. Close enough to town, 5 minute walk. Terrific hotel. All the 5 star amenities. We upgraded to a lake side room and it was worth it. The hotel is itself a museum. Beautifully furnished in an old and elegant style-- classy but not dowdy. Terrific concierges. Great breakfasts. Would stay here again.

the hotel is very impressive also the garden. breakfast is modest and does not comply with 5 stars hotel. dinner is very expensive, therfore we had our dinners outside the hotel . we recommend the LA BOTTE resturant , 400 meters from the hotel.

This is one "grand" hotel that is worthy of the name. It's an art museum in its own right and the perfect place to stay while experiencing the beauty of Stresa and Lake Maggiore. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and very elegant inside and out. Each of its six floors included art from different eras. I kept taking photographs of the amazing decor, antiques, statues, paintings and gardens. I felt like a princess. The room was very nicely decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast […] was the best we had in Italy - full buffet including eggs, bacon, lox, cheeses, fruits, breads, freshly squeezed orange juice, everything anyone could want. Wholeheartedly recommend the hotel. My only suggestion would be to repair some tiles in the swimming pool. Everything was more than I expected. The service was great. The hotel was over the top. The grounds were worth a half day exploring in and of themselves. The included breakfast was lacking nothing. I now know what should be expected from a five star hotel! I have been spoiled.

Truly enjoyed the stay. Stresa is a hidden gem in Italy. The most relaxing part of our stay.

The hotel is both visually pleasing and affords comfortable accomodations and an excellent breakfast buffet. We had friendly and competent assistance from all the staff and utilized the pool, workout room and the spa. The hotel is in a great location that is far enough from the main boat service area to be a pleasant walk but not close enough to disrupt. […] We took a tour of the Hemingway suite and it was nice and way too large for two persons. We really enjoyed the comfort, location and service provided in this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel is one of the most beautiful ones we've ever stayed in - and we have enjoyed many Leading Hotels of The World and Luxury Collection ones. My husband and I chose the Grand Hotel because of the reviews and we knew from these that it would be something special. We were not disappointed with the wonderful decor, artefacts and furnishings of the hotel which are probably the most sumptious I shall ever encounter. Our room was very nicely equipped. It did not have a lake view but as it was a […] special rate I did not expect one of the front rooms. The weather for the week was due to be hot and it was disappointing to learn that the swimming pools had been closed mid September. However much more annoying was the information that the air conditioning had been turned off in the entire hotel as they deemed it unnecessary! This meant we had to open the windows or it was stifling and had to endure all night the loud sound of a large fan which blasted forth continually at the back of the hotel in addition to the trains charging through a not too distant station. Ear plugs were needed to get a good nights sleep! The buffet breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice and friendly service. We did not eat in the restaurant in the evening as it was pricey 46€ for 3 couses which did not sound very interesting. Speaking to another English couple on our last morning who had eaten there the previous evening and were very uncomplimentary I think we had made the best decision to eat in town. I booked a garden view room as it was cheaper. When we arrived we were told we had a lake view room. We were shown to the room, which not only had a fabulous lake view but also a large terrace with table, chairs and loungers. It was absolute luxury. Breakfast was very good, with everything you could want, bread, croissants, fresh fruit, cakes, cheese, […] cold meats, smoked salmon and some cooked food. Hotel was as described - pure luxury. View of lake from our room was fantastic. Every corridor has a different theme and is stunning. The gardens are lovely too.

Sono stati 4 giorni di completo relax.Seguita, coccolata e riverita in ogni occasione. Una cucina fantastica, come la consierge e il personale tutto.

Magnifique hôtel et vue merveilleuse. Personnel très attentionné. Mauvaise insonorisation dans notre chambre, par contre.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral direkt am See. Zimmer und Service sind gut und das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet. Selten findet man frisch gepressten Orangensaft a la discretion und viele weitere frische und leckere Speisen in der gebotenen Qualität. Das Hotel ist einen Aufenthalt wert!

Schöne Lage am See, aber die Hauptstrasse führt direkt vor dem Hotel vorbei. Daher war das Zimmer mit Parkblick optimal (ruhig, trotz der nahen Eisenbahn). Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal, an der Reception und im Frühstückssaal!

Innen sehr schön. Es stand aber nirgends, dass das Hotel direkt an der Durchgangsstrasse liegt, sehr laut. Internetzutritt ist extrem teuer, sonst in 5-Stern Hotels immer gratis. Wellnessbereich sehr klein, das Personal dort aber sehr nett. Servicepersonal eher arrogant. Preis Leistung stimmte für mich nicht. Z.B. Wir waren dieses Jahr bereits 3 x dort und haben es jeweils in vollen Zügen genossen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Magnifique hôtel d'époque avec une décoration chargée mais en raccord avec le style de l'établissement. Qualité irréprochable pour le prix, chambre avec vue magnifique et minutieusement décorée. Un petit bémol pour le bruit effrayant de la tuyauterie qui vous réveille en pleine nuit lorsqu'un autre client prend une douche.

Das Hotel ist ein sehr gediegenes, klassisch eingerichtetes Haus mit modernen Anlagen. Es liegt in einer prächtigen Umgebung und verfügt über sehr freundliches und kompetentes Personal!

２度目のストレーザで、このホテルに宿泊したいと思っていました。着いた翌日にミラノまで電車で行きましたが、ストレーザ駅までも歩いて５分もかからず、コンシェルジュで列車の時刻表のコピーももらえて助かりました。土曜の夜に予約しないでレストランに行ったところ満席で食事をすることができませんでした。週末のレストランには予約して行ったほうがよさそうです。朝食は湖を眺めながらゆっくり食事することができました。ホテルの表裏側ともに花で飾られとても素敵なホテルです。しかしジュニアスイートに宿泊しましたが、思ったより部屋は狭かったです。バルコニーからの眺めは最高です！

Wunderbar gepflegtes Ambiente in einem rund 1860 errichteten Haus mit sehr internationalem Publikum, äußerst zuvorkommendes Personal, wunderbare Aussicht und gepflegtes Essen und Trinken. Wir waren sehr erfreut. Besonders der gepflegte Park, die Pools und die vielen wunderschönen Blumen und Springbrunnen haben es uns angetan.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen. Die Terasse des Hotel Restaurants hat einen schöne Aussicht und die Qualität sehr gut. Das Hotelpersonal ist weder sehr freundlich noch zuvorkommend. Zweimal fragte ich nach Unterstützung und es kam niemand (z.B. weil die Gerate im Fitnessraum nicht funktionierten, die übrigens nicht sauber waren. Auch alte Taschentücher […] werden nicht entfernt und Handtücher nicht ersetzt. Die gebrauchten Handtücher lagen herum). Fazit: Ich haette mehr für ein sogenanntes 5 Stern erwartet. Pročitajte više

Leider hatten wir das Gefühl das einen grossen Firmenanlass die anderen Gäste benachteiligt wurden. Frühstücksraum wurde in Bankett Raum verlegt, ohne dass man die anderen Gäste Infomiert hatte. Service Personal ist sehr nett, Rezeption ein wenig verhalten, haben auf ein Jubiläum, worüber Sie informiert waren nicht reagiert. マジョーレ湖のすぐ前で、イゾラベッラを始め、対岸の展望も良くい。ホテルはボロメロ家の大邸宅を改造してあり、シャンデリヤ・置物等、豪華の一語に尽きます。 メインダイニングも素敵で、サービスもほぼ満点でした。 ただ、メインのメニューが魚・肉料理とも種類が少なく、もう少しゴージャスなアラカルトが選択できたらと少々残念でした。月ごとに変わるコースメニューは大変リーズナブルな単価で、内容も合格点でした。 また機会があれば、是非とももう一度泊まりたい思い出となるホテルです。 帰りはマルペンサ空港までホテルのリムジンサービスを利用しました。約40キロを大型ベンツで1時間弱、快適に旅を閉めることができました。

Service impersonnel. Tout est en supplément : il serait agréable d'avoir une bouilloire et des thés dans la chambre, une petite attention à l'arrivée (chocolats sur l'oreiller, eau minérale, etc...), la possibilité de se faire prêter un fer à repasser à la réception....

Der Empfang beim Hotel war schon erstklassig, der Page kam sofort mit dem goldenen Gepäckwagen und man stellte unser Auto in die Garage. Die Zimmer sind sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, das Badezimmer ist wunderschön, mit edlem Marmor. Der Service beim Essen war sehr höflich und aufmerksam, das ganze Ambiente stimmt einfach in diesem Hotel, man fühlt sich […] wie in Pretty Woman. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und würden wieder gehen. Perfekter Service, kostenloses Upgrate auf ein Zimmer mit Seeblick. Hotel hat die perfekte Lage für Ausflüge auf die Inseln und auf den Monterosa. Sehr empfehlenswert.
