Villas Sol Hotel And Beach Resort - All Inclusive - Playa Hermosa

Not worth the money, go to Mexico! Costa Rican food was terrible. This hotel tries to save money the cheap way. All inclusive with terrible products, staff does not take tips so not helpful. Most things are half as$. Tacky place. If you like class and are thinking higher end do not go there!

Condominiums over looking the Hotel, more Condominiums to the right and left and even in front. A road going up at step hill right in front of the hotel and the Truck and car traffic to go with them.

a) The hotel is NOT on the beach. b) Hotel is spread out on a very steep hill and it very far to get to pools or one available staurant unless you drive or wait for the shuttle bus. c) You don't get what you paid for. I went to Villas Sol with two of my girl friends, we stayed at the hotel near the pool. We had an amazing, relaxing time! Food was great, views are spectacular and stuff is very friendly. I've been to lot of luxurious hotels in various places in the world. This hotel is definitely not a 4! The staff definitely make your stay pleasant! Adrian the bartender a big asset to the hotel! The activity directors were motivating...The food offered needs to be improved in variety and taste! The liquor will fall in the same catergory also! Improve the liquor and food offered and the other shortcomings may be overlooked. […] The location of the property is a jewel in the mountain. However, the hotel needs a big uplift! Bad experience in this hotel.I stayed half an hour at front desk before to be registered and again half an hour to receive my key. Food was not good as wine. They give low class alcools in bar. For these reasons I will not choice again this hotel

This resort wasn't able to come through on some of the things that were advertised. They advertised kayak, snorkling, mountin bikes, watercraft, mopeds but they all had a "catch". The snorkeling and kayaks were not free rentals. You would have to schedule a day in advance for a mediocre one hour tour at a certain time of the day (8am). This was the […] same for the snorkeling. This was the most disappointing thing because this was one of the main attractions for me. It was NEVER free to go snorkeling or kayaking by yourself. The food was cheap buffet stlye, not satisfying for a resort (many things on this trip lead me to believe that Costa Rican standards are not comparable to US standards). They had another resaurant that gave the appearance that the food quality was better, but only by a little. The ambiance was very nice and it was a good break from the "cafeteria". Another let down was that you were only able to go once. THE SUMMARY If you go you should set your expectations low and be prepared to be surprised by things that arent included in the "all-inclusive". (Don't make local phone calls because you will be billed) I would not reccomend staying in the hotels. If I was to do it again I would have stayed in the Villa's and not paid for the food on resort. es un bonito hotel, pocas piscinas cuando hay mucha gente es incómodo, poca variedad de la comida para el precio que se paga. la habitación muy bien! no me gusta que arreglen la habitación hasta las 4 de la tarde, se lleven los paños y aparezcan casi a las 6 con ellos. es un hotel regular pero caro.
