Apple Farm - San Luis Obispo

After a hard day of travelling in the car, walking into this charming hotel was a breath of fresh air. My daughter's reaction was, "This is like Grandma's house!" The staff at the reception make you feel at home immediately with coffee/ wine and cookies. Our room was lovely, with toile de jouy wallpaper , sitting area and the gas fireplace. The town itself is small so the location of the hotel was fine, not far from Highway 1. You would need a car to get to the downtown historic area. We stayed here for the weekend of the SLO Half Marathon. After a comfortable nights sleep it was a 5 minute walk from the hotel to the start line of the race. We will definitely be back next year - also the SLO Half and Full Marathon is the most scenic we have done!

This place is fabulous! Offered a glass of wine upon check-in. A nice Syrah. The room was lovely. The restaurant is terrific too. Had a very nice dinner and awsome chocolate chip cookie with marshmallow and chocolate melted on top. 100% recommend and would stay again.

We stayed two nights while on a business trip and really appreciated the generous sized rooms, cleanliness of the property, as well as the comfortable and charming decor of more gentler times. Their bakery sells homemade pies that are out of this world. I bought a cherry pie and took it over to my Dad's house to share. I was amazed at how delicious […] this simple cherry pie was. Not too sweet, not too sour, just perfect and the crust was the best I've had in many years. Hotel rooms are being renovated. Old rooms are definately to flowery. The chocolate chip cookies and apple juice offered as complimentary were great.

Our son is attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and we always stay at this hotel. It's easy to get to and the rooms are always large and comfortable.

This is the best place we have stayed at for a long time. We were greeted with our choice of wine or sparkling cider. There was always coffee and tea with cookies available in the beautiful lobby with the fireplace burning. We very much enjoyed our stay and wished we could have extened it for a week.

A bit tired in decor, the Apple Farm is full of kitchy country decorating. Good fresh cookies upon check in, discount coupons to use the restaurant, and a large room were all positive things. Flowers everywhere were a bit much. Flowers on the couch, flowers on the walls, flowers on the canopy of the 4 poster bed.

We stayed a Thursday night, in the actual inn. Our room was on the first floor and was so pretty and comfortable with a sitting area and a fireplace. Loved it! A really peaceful and relaxing place to stay - with chocolate chip cookies at check-in. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very big and comfortable. We had a sitting area and a gas fireplace. The extras are very nice, too. There was wine, scones, and cookies when we checked in and coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby all the time. The staff is very nice. If we go to San Luis Obispo, we would stay here again.

The hotel is dated. It could use an overhaul for the amount they charge per night. I think it still gets business purely on the fact that it is famous for the area. I will say the cookies and wine upon arrival was a nice touch. I was so happy to see that breakfast could be deliverd early in the morning. I loved my room, the cozyness of the fireplace, and especially the cookies when I checked in, as I arrived late evening. I was also pleased with the cozy robe as I had forgotten mine. I would defiantly stay there again.

"The room was pleasant and well decorated, but the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. We asked for a mattress topper, which was added to make the second night more comfortable. Also, the bathroom sink was cracked as were floor tiles in proximity to it. At first we thought it was a hair in the sink (as a cleaning cloth had been left in the sink), but […] housekeeping (which was very concerned and responsive) confirmed it was a crack. In addition, the pillows were hard as a rock and were replaced the second night. By all means, call problems like these to their attention as the cost of the rooms should be met with perfection. Beautiful hotel with a country Inn feel. We checked in and they gave us cookies. Resteraunt has excellent food; Turkey Pot Pie, Ruben and Apple Farm Breafast were amazing. Bakery onsite with delicious cookies including Apple Pie cokies. Only stayed one day but would definitely go again.

It was over the top cute. Lots of lace and frills. Restaurant was very good. Spacious room. Mattress was too soft for our comfort. It was nice overall, but tried it once, not sure if I would stay there again.

my wife and i are 50 yrs old and 30 yrs married and we booked this hotel from the net. we were so happy when we got there as it is a most charming hotel with friendly staff and beautiful surrounds.my wife thinks it was one of the nicest hotels on our two week holiday from Ireland. and if she is impressed that says it all....10 out of 10.

We stayed at Apple Farm at the end of our vacation the night before we flew out. We needed to leave our luggage there so we could drop off our rental car. They gave us our room early and helped me move my luggage to the room. I was delighted with our room. It was so beautiful. When we returned later that day we went to the guest reception and then we […] went for a swim and sat in the jacuzzi. Later we had a delicious meal at the resturant, where the person at the desk had made a reservation for us. The next day they drove us to the airport. Their service was excellent. Everything as advertised in a really nice town. We plan on going back and staying longer. Really satisfied with Hotels.com too.Be sure to check out the Farmers Market Thursday nights, you can catch a trolley next door and avoid parking. Also be sure to have the Tri-Tip!

The hotel is always clean when we stay here. The rooms are larger than expected and decorated nicely. The cookies at check in are a nice touch along with refreshments in the lobby. The food in the restaurant is great.

Fantastic place to stay. Great price for the quality and size of room. Nice touches on the free cookies and the food at the restaurant and bakery was excellent. The pool was also very clean and the Garden area fantastic for breakfast.

This hotel emphases a country rustic charm and the rooms reflect that. The decor is straight out of the Little House on the Prarrie but clean. The hotel staff are very friendly and the restaurant is great. The hotel is very child friendly (3 years and 10 months). It was a welcome stop on our road trip.

Our room was lovely, we had free snacks and wine at 5pm, supper at the restaurant was great ... as was breakfast. It would have been great if the trolley that went to town ran on Mondays & Tuesdays, but no go. Town was very cute.

The hotel is well located and easy to find. The decor can be a bit overwhelming and best described as precious. The price is consistent with the other hotels in the area and the hotel has all the amenities.
