The Fairmont Kea Lani was tops. The suites are spacious, and the marble tiled bathrooms are huge. Balconies are big enough to lounge on, or have an outdoor meal. Nice beach and gorgeous pools & grounds. The staff all seemed to know our names and were very helpful. I even noticed the staff sweeping the ceilings. Well worth the stay!

The grounds are well kept, the landscape and architecture are beautiful, and the rooms are clean. We have stayed here on two vacations now and it is our first choice for Maui each year.

We were given a warm welcome and the bell service was fantastic. We had our 15 month old with us and the hotel provided a high chair and crib for the room.

The Farimont Kea Lani was a great hotel! They offered us fantastic service, helping us with everything we needed. This was our first time to Maui, so they made our visit very memorable. If you're looking to be pampered, with extremely friendly and courteous staff, I highly recommend this hotel!

A beautifully designed and elegant hotel. Is one of the high end hotels in Wailea so it's quite pricey. But if you can afford it might be worth giving this hotel a try. This was our second stay at a fairmont hotel. With the special price we jumped at the chance to go. Great amenities and attention to detail. Our king size room had nice ocean and pool view with a separate living room area, oh and a gorgeous bathroom. The lounge had great live music, try the chocolate dream cocktail!

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The service was amazing, the rooms were spacious, the hotel grounds were beautiful, and the atmosphere was relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I cannot wait to come back. If anything could be improved, I wish they extended their car service to the airport and that they had a luau.

We've stayed at the Kea Lani over 10 times since 1999 and we always have a wonderful experience. Fairmont has done an excellent job of keeping the hotel modernized and well maintained. Fairmont has clearly chosen to invest a lot of money to keep the Kea Lani up as a premier hotel. This is a great hotel for couples but it is really first rate for families. The rooms are large enough for familes with 2-3 sub-teenager children to share if you use the child-comforatble sofa bed. The large bathrooms can accommodate a family and the entertainment system is very up to date, including plug-in ports and a DVD player (as well as in-room movies, etc.). We really enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani. We arrrived very early on our check in day and they checked us in early with no problem at all. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and we loved having the separate sinks and walk in shower in the bathroom. We did not have a chance to eat at the two dinner restaurants on the property but did have lunch at the poolside bar and grill which was great. We ate breakfast one day at the Kea Lani restaurant which offers buffet or ala carte service. We also went to the deli a few times which I really liked. They have fresh pastries, coffee and an array of sandwiches. As far as the other amenities are concerned we spent a few days at the pool/beach. I really appreciated that the hotel has an adult pool which was pretty quiet. Polo Beach is technically a public beach but this resort is the only resort that is located on the small beach. Beautiful hotel in Maui. Any room you will have would be amazing! The rooms are all very large with a separate living room and huge bathroom. The resort is a short drive to Lahaina and Shopping at Kahului. Tip for Free Wi-Fi - Get the Club membership for free Wi-Fi instead of paying the daily fee.

Great property. Of the high end hotels in Wailea in Maui I think the Fairmont property is the best. the grounds are expansive and beautiful. All rooms are beautiful suites. There are 3 swimming pools. The staff is very attentive to the needs of the guests. I will be coming back to the Farimont when I visit Maui again.

The suite layout of the hotel rooms is perfect for couples with a young child - we could easily put our baby to bed in the bedroom and then hang out in the "living room" or balcony without disturbing him. We loved the grounds, open feeling of the pool areas, and the warmth of each and every employee. I would LOVE to come back here.

After many trips to Maui as a couple, this was our first family trip with our two-year-old daughter,which we knew would be a very different vacation. We wanted to keep the amenities of a high-end hotel so were comparing to other four- and five-star resorts on the island in choosing our location. Ultimately we chose Kea Lani because of the suite setup […] vs standard hotel rooms for a similar price, and we're extremely happy with our choice! The size of the suite, and the ability to put our daughter to bed but still be up and about was fantastic. The hotel itself was great, and they have a perfect pool setup for young children, combined with a nice calm beach. Plus, you can take kids under 5 to a couple of the hotel restaurants for free, so another added plus! We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Nick's one night, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating with a family, including bringing her a puzzle to keep her entertained! On the pampering side, we both enjoyed massages at the spa, and while the treatments themselves were great the amenities of the spa were somewhat unimpressive. We went during the off season, so your experience may vary. I found the Fairmont to be almost eerily empty and quiet. We never had an issue finding a chair by the pool or at the beach. While the Fairmont did have some events going on, there wasn't much for kids (especially since our son was too young for their Kids Camp) and generally there wasn't a whole lot to do on the property. We went to the luau at the Grant Wailea and our son loved exploring the property. We checked out their family events and it seemed much more extensive. The Fairmont is a great pick if you want something relaxing and easy -- the rooms are nice, with a fridge and microwave in every suite. The fairmont was absolutely gorgeous and the staff was genuinely helpful. The concierge helped us plan our activities for the trip and made sure we were spending our money in the right places.
