Don't let the name "Embassy Suites" fool you! This is unlike any Embassy Suites I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in quite a few. This hotel could use an overhaul. The outside and public areas are great! The interior and room....not so much! Had a funny smell to it and looked old and used up. Closet rack fell to the floor as soon as we hung our […] clothes up. Too many other choices to waste your hard earned money at this hotel. The facilities were acceptable although dated but every staff member other than the valet attendant was impolite and some down right rude. "Good for in/out of Tampa airport"
Close to airport and they have 24 h shuttle - our plane landed at 2am and they sent a van over ASAP. Room was very spacious compared to other o this hotel's locations - clean and comfortable. We had no noise problems. Overall the hotel could probably use a tad of upgrading though - could still smell some smoke lingering (I assume there is no smoking […] in Florida hotels or are they behind the times?). Breakfast buffet had the usual fare - nothing more or less. We were taking a cruise so this was an overnight prior to boarding. Rate for this hotel was pretty fair. One downside is the surrounding neighborhood is kind of seedy - some strip clubs along the main drag etc. But we didn't leave the hotel so no matter. Generally satisfied with the hotel. Very large and clean room... complimentary breakfast and evening reception with snacks and drinks was very nice. Staff was helpful and professional. Pool, hot tub and exercise room were functional, but not really the highlights of the property. Also, location was just okay. Two large malls are very close, which was […] nice given the weather was not optimal during our stay. However, the area was slightly seedy likely related to being very close to the Tampa airport... waffle house right next door and strip clubs close by. Also, the distance to the beaches are not as close as it seemed. "Wish my room wasn't so smokey!!"
We had reserved a Non-Smoking room, however, upon arrival we were given a smoking room. I did not complain due to the busy lobby and the calls I heard from the front desk asking housekeeping to hurry up cleaning the rooms. I did not want to have to wait for a room to be ready. "Exactley where we wanted to be"
Beautiful Hotels, great amenities (loved the cooked to order breakfast and the evening social hour). Great pool area - excellant service by ALL employees. Beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were large and sqeeky clean. Loved everything about it.Autentične Hotels.com recenzije gostiju

the beds were comfortable .I slept on the sleeper sofa and it was clean and fairly comfortable.The rooms were fairly quite.We went to the motel lounge at around 9pm for drinks ,dessert and there was a full dinner menu if we choose.Having to pay for parking was ridiculous.self park was 8$.Autentične Hotels.com recenzije gostiju

"Good amount of Space, but Needs some TLC"
I travel for business and stay in Tampa at least two weeks out of the month. This hotel has a good amount of space (given that it's a suite) but the room I got had an awkward layout (closet door against fridge door, tv off to the side on couch area so neck would be sideways, bathroom door had to be closed so you could sit on toilet, etc)... I found […] that the hotel lacked "quality" not only in the design (stuck in time), but also the little things like not having a hook to hang your towel behind the door because instead it had a big exposed piece of wood door... There is no sense of cleanliness, everything feels older and almost musty, although it didn't smell and tiles were actually decently cleaned. I was not impressed overall and have to disagree with the 4.3 rating on the site, I would give it an average 3 (service was good, lobby was great, parking easy, free breakfast (didn't try it) and I guess it would be good for a family on a trip to Busch Gardens maybe...just not for me). I have had (by far) much better stays at neighboring hotels. I ended up cancelling my reservation and staying at the Hilton (Airport/Westshore) which was way better and cheaper. "Excellent, comfortable, delicious!"
This was a great deal! We are two adults and four kids, and were perfectly comfortable in the two queen suite. The living area is spacious, and includes a sofa bed. There was even a full kitchen. And lastly, the epic Embassy Suites breakfast! It's a major convenience to have everybody on a full stomach when you start the day. A few quirks, all hotels seem to need updating, looks are clean and comfortable but definitely an update in decor in the rooms. Lobby has been redone and looks good. Hotel shuttle is excellant, free wi fi in rooms at this level should be expected but there is a $12.95 per day charge, only free internet in the business area. Awesome breakfast would good […] back.
