THE PECK HOUSE - Empire

My boyfriend and I were hunting for an inexpensive place to stay relatively close to the ski hill (Winter Park). We stumble across this beauty online and instantly fell in love. The rooms are cozy with beauitful antique furniture, claw foot bathtubs, and great views. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by warm smiles and kindness. We had a romatic […] dinner in the Peck House Restaurant that was to delicious (be prepared to spend $100 for two plus a bottle of wine). The location was easy to get to - just five minutes off I-70 and 25 minutes to Winter Park/Mary Jane. We loved the fact that this old timey inn kept up with its hertiage - you won't find any TV or media hubs, but they do have free WIFI so you can keep up with the news during your mountain get away. My wife and I loved our stay at this hotel. In reality it is more like a bed and breakfast. The location was a little out of the way, but perfect for our ski trip. The house is located near major ski lifts in the area: Loveland, Copper, Keystone, etc. The house oozes old world charm. We loved the hospitality and the old-world feel. If you want the latest […] accomodations-this is not your place, although they do have wifi. There is no tv. We would definitely recommend eating at their restaurant. The food is exquisite. The only negative we had is that the beds could be more comfortable, but this was more than made up by the country charm. We are definitely staying again. Possibly this summer! Das Peckhouse liegt etwas von der Hauptverkehrsstraße entfernt, mit einem netten Ausblick. Es scheint mir der Versuch aus einem alten Haus (viele alte Möbel) mit schlecht schließenden Türen, ein gutes Geschäft zu machen. Das Zimmer 5 war extrem eng, das Bad fast unzumutbar: alte Gussbadewanne mit nicht funktionierender Brause. Der einzige Lichtblick […] war das eigene Restaurant mit französische angehauchter Küche, allerdings zu horrenden Preisen. Der Zimmerpreis war für das gebotene eindeutig zu hoch.
