Arrived before check in,was able to srore bags till room ready. Staff was professional and courtess. "Good no-nonsense hotel in great location"
I like this place. Only problem was I booked a King Suite with a king bed and had that confirmed by Hotels.com, only to find on arrival that they only had a room with double beds. I was constantly pleasantly surprised here. The lobby is grand, although in a Holiday Inn sort of way. My room was great, similar to a Hilton or Hyatt hotel room. The service was fine; the employees were not as polished/trained as those at a major brand hotel, but they got the job done just fine even if their shrt tail wasn't tucked in properly. "Noisy"
Hotel was modern and clean. The only main problem was noise. Could barely sleep the entire night. The A/C unit made a very loud noise every time it switched off. The worst part was the street noise. Even though I was on a top floor, I could hear loud yelling and laughing (was it the valets out front? I don't know) and sirens all night long. Surely sirens […] are not the hotel's fault, but the windows must be very thin. I've stayed in other hotels in major cities with loud street noise, but because of the thick windows you could barely hear it. Will never stay there again. "Close to Union Station and Big Bus Lines"
We decided to go to Washington at the last minute and got a reservation at this hotel. I had been told that people do not stay in the city, but I found that there was no problem, the hotel was two blocks from Union Station and the tour buses. We did not use the on-site eateries, but there was a food court at the station. The staff was friendly and courteous […] and the room was large enough for two adults and three children. In 5 days I only ate in the hotel once... very high priced and not a good selection. Charging for internet is so annoying. The location was close to the Capital; where I wanted to be, but the hotel is kind of old and the rooms were pretty small for a "high end" hotel. "Nice hotel but area is so-so"
No complaints against the pleasant staff or the nice decor (minus the brass fixtures). The location was a downer for us. Sure you're near the Capital, but that's about it. Restaurants and shops are quite a walk. Our meal in the hotel restaurant was awful. "Great stay but at the discounted rate"
Close to the capitol and a manageable walk to everything else was a great place to stay even with the kids. Cafe was pricey and on a Sunday even the Starbucks across the street was closed. Thank heavens for the dubliner which was just around the corner and had great food and atmosphere. Hotels.com last minute rate made this a great deal and worth staying, […] but not at the regular prices. Rooms were a little dated, but clean and comfortable. In and out valet made the high fee worth it and the bellhops were kind and friendly. It is 3 blocks from a homeless shelter but that caused no problems for us . "Beautiful Hotel."

Very nice stay for the cost of the hotel. What I saw was that where they save on the cost of the hotel, they get you on the other things (like parking @ $43 a day, drinks at the bar are a bit pricey, and other things like that).
