We have been to the Parker twice, and love it's fun eclectic vibe! The grounds are beautiful, calm and relaxing. The rooms are nicely decorated, if a tad small. But that's what you get when you stay in a mid-century hotel. The restaurant, Mister Parker was delicious with great service! Love the retro feel of the whole place. Would highly recommend.

Requested more pillows - 3 times! Dirty dresser, no TV channel guide, no phone directory, had to ask twice to get burned out light bulb replaced. Dark room looked out at parking lot through so-called patio all dirt. Reserved up-graded room. Wonder what the ordinary rooms are like?

The Parker is da' bomb! I know what you're thinking ... Palm Springs = old people. Get it out of your head! The Parker is young and hip. You won't want (or need) to leave. Don't be discouraged that the rooms aren't new and shiny either. They are comfortable and retro-hip. The bathrooms are modern and very clean. The toiletries are the BEST you will […] ever get (Hermes soap, etc). But it is the peaceful grounds, the spa, the swank restaurant, the lovely pools that will keep you here. Every time you turn a corner on the Parker grounds, you will find a secluded spot to lie in a hammock, enjoy a fire pit or play some pentanque. Everything was wonderful except check-in. I had reserved a room with a king sized bed, and they tried to put us in a room with two doubles. They told us there were no more kings, but surprisingly, a room with a king sized bed "turned up" all of a sudden. I don't know what the motive was, but this is bad customer service. The place is definitely decadent but it doesn't feel stuffy in any way. The staff is very friendly and well trained. The grounds are huge so you can carve out your own little hiding place.

The Parker is beautiful, that is the the style and especially the grounds & landscape. However our room was not cleaned one of the three nights, the phone rang mysteriously at a god awful hour and you just don't have the feeling they you can take a deep breathe with out getting billed for the air. As ever this is an enjoyable hotel. Black marks however for glacial slow service in the Norma's restaurant for breakfast even though we were there after 10.00am when the place was over half empty. Also the policy of allowing dogs in the restaurant is unacceptable. It is totally unhygienic and a huge health risk to diners.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Parker Palm Springs. The resort feels very private and has been decorated and landscaped to be both funky and welcoming for couples and young families. We ate several meals at Norma's and enjoyed each one. We had dinner at Mr. Parker's, a clubby, fine dining restaurant on the premises. Great prix fixe dinner and warm service. We went at the end of the Thanksgiving weekend so the hotel was full. This meant that the pool was crowded and we weren't able to get seats easily or in th sun. We loved our stay. It was a wonderful get away. Norma's restaurant is fantastic. Every dish was better than the next. We had fabulous massages at the spa. The in-room toiletries are top of the line. There are plenty of places on property to lounge, hang out, read, relax... the hotel has such a relaxed, cool vibe, without that "trying too hard" feeling. […] It's like staying at a friends home. Your very cool friends home. The landscaping, interior design and decor is amazing. Every single detail has been well planned and perfectly executed, down to the books in the guest rooms. Overall...a good stay. Arrived at 3 pm and room was not ready. Was told they would call when ready. After over an hour, went back to desk and asked if it was ready. It was. They did not bother to call. I would say the front desk check in staff may need some training. Not a warm, fuzzy feeling.

This hotel is nothing but exceptional! The food at Norma's is killer! Must get the lemon pancakes for breakfast. The toiletries in your room are better than any that I own! Can't wait to come back!

We booked a Sunday through Tuesday stay so it was quiet and very peaceful. Upon arrival to our room, we were greeted with strawberries and champagne for our anniversary and a lanai room with the most beautiful view ever! I was near tears upon arrival (tears of happiness). The Parker is so very well thought out. From the friendly valet guys in pink pants […] to the chic white pens with gold lettering to the easy check-in and the joy of first walking out onto the grounds, AND THAT wonderful heady feeling you get from walking around taking in all the tranquil sounds and LOVELY SMELLS! Perfect music (Pizzicato Five!) fills the air as you walk by Norma's and gently fades as you wander away. Our room was beautiful fun; the pillows were sooooo heavenly, everything was clean. Also exciting was the Jonathan Adler decor, cheeky photos of the devilish Don Rickles and muscular Lou Ferrigno, a great print by Ruben Toledo (my favorite!) above the bed, topped off with Helmut Newton books to browse through as you recline on the lanai. The pools were lovely...my husband and I are more of night swimmers so most of the time we had the pools to ourselves...including a delightful 3 AM dip, floating on our backs admiring the night sky. The salt water pools were warm but it was soothing. The lemonade stand was fun. Service was always with a smile. I really appreciate that. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are maintained beautifully. The staff, however, is completely incompetent in many ways - with the exception of John, the concierge, who has been there a long time and is great.

I've heard rave reviews of The Parker from my friends, but I was just very underwhelmed by the hotel itself. The adult pool was packed and even though I was out by 10am there were no chairs left so I had to go over to the family pool which wasn't as nice of a set up. My room was spacious and very well decorated, but not that comfortable. Though I had […] requested a king, I got 2 double beds. The small iron bed made me feel like I was in a cabin rather than a luxurious hotel. The tv was on the other side of the room and hard to watch from bed. On top of it all, my a/c unit started leaking from the bathroom ceiling at 11pm. On the plus side, the staff by beyond friendly and the grounds are gorgeous. We were recommended to this hotel by friends who have eaten at the restaurants a few times. So we made a last minute decision to stay there for our last night in Palm Springs. We were NOT disappointed! The grounds were beautiful and the staff were superb. The restaurants were amazing.

Paid for a room with a King bed and got the smallest double bed ever for two people. They did nothing to accomidate us...............

Stunning hotel and grounds..... absolutely loved the health club which was immaculate with great massages and surroundings....and the gardens are stunning.... Service was average however and poor at times... forgetting to bring things to room service, and lack of staff by pool. Staff were not as friendly as other hotels we stayed at, and the pools […] were very overcrowded with insufficient loungers. We also were not able to get a table for the restaurant until late - we could have been advised in advance to reserve, especially as I had notified the hotel in advance that we were on our honeymoon. The concierge guys at the front are very good and helpful & friendly. For me there are better places to stay for the money with better service so I wouldn't return unless it was during the week in off peak season when I suspect they are offer better service. This is by far the hippest hotel/spa I've been to with the best service I've ever had from the front desk receptionist to the valet. 24 hour outdoor heated salt water pool.....need I say more?

My boyfriend and I just returned from a 2 night stay at the Parker. It was everything I had hoped it would be…a clean, relaxing, quiet, hidden gem. Its quirky décor, enchanting gardens, excellent customer service, generously effective cocktails and yummy food made for a very pleasant stay. It seemed the average guest age was early 30's, so we fit right […] in. I suggest you don’t visit during Palm Springs in August like we did, as it is the hottest time of year…an unbearable 112 degrees, and the swimming pools naturally heat up to a NON-refreshing temperature. I heard great things about the Parker and their staff. However, it didn't live up to how people described. Seemed like things were on the extreme sides of the spectrum. For example, the room was great as what you would expect but other parts of the resort looked run down and not maintained. Because the chic retro look wasn't maintained it just looked […] like someone's grandmother's house after awhile. Another example, we had an excellent time with great service and food at Mr. Parkers. However, service at the pool and breakfast was average. But I must say all the food and drinks were great! There was some maintenance going on in their spa and hopefully they will do some more freshening up in the areas that need work. The Parker is excellent. The hotel grounds and decor are amazing. A true resort to stay in for your entire trip. No need to venture out. I can't wait to go back! I wish they would upgrade their tv add iPod chargers and provide a vanity kit that would truly make it a 5 star room even for what they consider just an estate (standard) room.

Exceptional service on every level. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. The grounds are meticulously maintained with lots of private areas to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The pools are quiet, peaceful. Truly one of the best hotels in Palm Springs. A must!
