Hotel Maya - a Doubletree by Hilton Hotel - Long Beach

The parking arrangement is a thumbs down. Charging $15 per day per car , is excessive.

This hotel is across the water from downtown Long Beach. It is quiet and relaxing, but close enough to access all the shopping and particularly the Convention Center facilities you'll need in Long Beach. The restaurant catered a wonderful meal for our group, made to order and very tasty! We enjoyed our stay!

Great Location close to cruise ships and Queen Mary. Free shuttle bus runs frequently between Downtown Long Beach, Queen Mary and Dtree Hotel -very handy. If so inclined all the above locations are well within walking distance.

Really nice roomy accommodations. Decor excellent. Nice grounds. Good service. Close to attractions. Only negative is parking fee.

We enjoyed our stay. The long beach shuttle service was a great asset. The bus service made it simple to get around with out the hassle of driving and finding a place to park I was disappointing that while we were eating breakfast another guest was allowed to bring their cat into the resturant. This hotel is shabby, grubby, and generally not up to scratch. The pool is tiny for the amount of rooms it has to service, there were no where near enough sunbeds. The staff were not great. At check in the receptionist could barely be bothered to tell us where our room was let alone where all the other facilities were. A large area of bar was sectioned […] off for a private function and when we eventually found somewhere it was ok to sit we ended up leaving without ordering as the staff were too busy talking to take our order. To pay $15 per night to park also is ridiculous.I could understand if in a city and had to use a public car park. We loved our stay- pool- great! Drinks- great! Food- AMAZING! views- great! We could have sat on our balcony all night and had fun! Quiet, peaceful, beautiful!

Startedand ended our US round trip at Maya and would like to go back. Located in the beutifull city of Long Beach in quiet surroundings and great view to Queen Mary and Long Beach. The restaurant has a nice patio styled to please you. Great for family vacation and rooms has lots of space and a balcony. SUPER hotel.

Good standard generally if in need of a refresh. Don't take rooms above restaurant as it's noisy. Once we changed the quiet was total and you could sleep soundly with the window open at night and no A/C Restaurant and breakfast were very expensive $15/day parking charge was only mentioned on arrival and seemed excessive

Just stayed here for 2 nights. Great location and view of water. Room had a musty smell when we walked in. They should have replaced the carpet and toilets when they remodeled the rooms. Our toilet seat broke. The air conditioner is a wall unit and very noisy. Restaurant was a litle pricey but good and view was even better. We ate breakfast there the […] next morning before going to Catalina Island. Very overpriced! We should have ate at the Catalina Express but didn't know they would have food. Overall good stay. good location,, perfect for quiet get a way, right on the water, beautiful view.

This was a great location for Long Beach. We were here on vacation for 2 days and took the free shuttle across the bridge to the waterfront. The view from our room was spectacular, looking at the waterfront city view and the Queen Mary. Nightime view was even better! Loved the hotel: room was very nice (other than the bathroom sliding door); the pool […] and outdoor fire pit spaces were so nice; the walkway takes you up to the QM and was a great walk day or night. The hotel restaurant Fuego was pricey and we avoided it as we were vacationing with 2 young teens but it looked very nice. Our rate at Hotels.com made this stay worth it! Pročitajte više

We stayed 4 nights for a wedding. Found staff helpful. We had a corner garden room in Building 2 and would recommend that as has some water/bridge view. Lots of hotel amenities including beach volleyball, tennis, swimming pool so when you are not sightseeing its fun to hangout. There is a free bus to Long Beach shopping area and The Pike. Stayed for one night during transition. Beautiful view from the restaurant and a nice overall feel to the hotel. Restaurant is a great place to sit and enjoy a few drinks as are some other lovely spots around the hotel. Friendly staff and great decor. No complaints here.

I love this hotel. I have been there with my husband twice now! This hotel makes other hotels look like standard ones. I love the amazing decoration. Hotel Maya is pretty much a situation whereby you should not judge a book by it's cover. The wrinkle here being that the property looks much better at first glance than your overall experience will end up being. The property has a boutique like feel with nice avante garde details in the common areas. However, service is inconsistent, it depends in part […] on the staff you are dealing with, some are very good, others indifferent and a little snotty which comes as a surprise - this is not the W after all. The rooms are fairly well appointed but the carpets are dirty and stained, this was obvious and spoiled the experience. The water pressure from the showers was surprisingly weak, it takes a while just to get your hair wet. Overall assessment is that there are a lot of fine details the hotel could improve on. Simply a great hotel with great location.

i stayed on a holiday so i paid a lot more for one night. i dont think it was worth it at all. the room smelled of smoke in a non smoking room. my water view room was awful. it was pretty much a bridge view. the balcony was very small. i thought it was very ghetto. i did not feel safe walking the trail or being at the pool. not worth what i paid. i […] wish i stayed somewhere else! was very close to the Carnival Cruise Terminal. Lovely walkways and close to town of Long Beach. The menu items at the restaurant need some improvement and prices were high for what was offered. There is not much activity in the town of Long Beach but it was easily walked and the free shuttle bus was very nice and very beautiful setting.

Perfect location for a resort type feel hotel. Secluded on the other side of the pier away from everything, yet only a very short drive/bike ride away. Rooms are comfy, but thin walls. If you get ocean view and like privacy, request a room on 3rd floor or higher. We were on 2nd floor but couldn't enjoy the view much because the walk/bike trail goes […] all along the hotel side. People were looking and staring as they passed by. and with one glance up they could easily look into your room. Awkward. Could be noisy if there's a wedding party. we were in Building 1 (farthest away from the lobby/wedding), but i could still hear the music/people laughing. I didnt mind it, but I cant imagine what the noise was like for the rooms located in that same area. The check in was fine, however checking out was too long on July 4, I had the feeling they were understaffed for the day

Great location, good food, and on the water. Nice rooms, but must negotiate 1 flight of stairs to get to elevator in bldg. 2. Good value.

We stayed on the ground level which was great because we could walk right out of our room and onto the beautiful paved path that went all along the water. I could tell the hotel is somewhat old but they've done a lot to keep the decor and furnishings modern and fresh. Great hotel for a weekend getaway. fantastic hotel and service. rooms very nice Decor and an amazing comfortable bed. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, warm cookies on arrival even at 2200 hours, nice touch!! I left an item at the hotel, it was handed by the maid and the hotel arrange for it to be shipped. What can I say, stay there!!! Pool area looked beautiful too.

Very nice hotel at a good price. nice and helpful staff, everything is very clean and modern - Design Hotel. It´s a nice place to relax during the day (nice pool area, try the restaurant and the bar as well) but as well a good starting point to reach LA and coast areas of Long Beach. We stayed for a few days on a claifornia round-trip.

The approach to this property is spectacular--the bridges, the skyline, and the ol' Queen Mary! The changing colors of the lighting scheme, the firepits and lanterns, as well as the amazing grounds and adorable pool cabanas make for a unique lodging experience--seems that they have made sure that every detail is well-designed, and that color is splashed […] everywhere! The restaurant, Fuego is aweome--we had 2 wonderful dinners there and loved having wine by the firepit--be sure to stay in a deluxe room facing the harbor for the best of Southern California! My stay lasted 5 nights. Maya is a nice hotel. It is outside Long Beach center, but there is a free shuttle bus every 15 minutes to downtown. The service was excellent. The only negative point is that the room suffered from water ingress... always very humid even with air conditioned turned on. Nice pool and spa. We enjoyed the our stay there.

Loved the location and hotel was very nice. Loved how warm the pool and hot tub was.

Good basic rooms - nice location and the free shuttle downtown was great. The hotel is older and the bathrooms are small (but are updated). Only downside was the noise from the restaurant/function areas, which went on too long after midnight.

The hotel was quite nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that we had some special room requests because we were with a wedding party and they were not met.

1. The room had a musty smell. 2. The indicentals policy was not communicated in advance. If you're paying with a business credit card not in your name, be sure you fax AND CONFIRM a credit card authorization form in advance. 3. Certain members of the front desk staff had an uncaring, indifferent attitude. 4. The WIFI in Building 1 was weak at best. Beautiful location, wasn't made aware of this to start with but there's a free bus service called "The Passport" that has a stop at the hotel every 10-15 mins. Saves walking the 2 miles to town over the bridge. Food in the resturant was excellent.

Near the Queen Mary and just across the bridge from downtown LBeach. Modern Spanish syle decor. Pretty clean grounds. Had buffet breakfast at Fuego which was good. BUT I am disappointed about our room. Thin walls and doors slam. Payed extra to upgrade room only to find that we had a sliver of a room with barely a view on the second floor and no balcony. […] Heard all pedestrian noise and noise above. Very nice place to stay, free shuttle to downtown. Although...beware, $15 A DAY parking, very steep to me and pool side drinks were also just ridiculously priced. I got a can of beer and a margarita for 23 dollars...I could have paid less in New York.

We only stayed the night but it truly was an experience in of itself - two warm cookies waiting for us as we checked in, very friendly staff, beautiful room, clean and stylish a beautiful short walk to the Queen Mary - we loved it. And if we do this trip again - keep those cookies coming! Thanks a lot.

Service was outstanding - We changed rooms to deluxe king waterview - the best value and space in room and on balcony - Great location - 10 mins to convention center, etc. and yet quiet - Restaurant also very good and popular

This is a great hotel. We had a wonderful view of the city lights at night and a great view of the Queen Mary. Our stay for the weekend was overall Great!!
