"Not Great, but good enough"
The hotel showed pictures online as renovated rooms, but when we got there, the rooms are NOTHING like the photos. There seemed to be shoe markings on the sheets, old furnishings, gross carpet and not a very comfortable feel. Although, the lobby was decent, the staff was nice and the pool looked alright. "CHEAP - Its what you paid for - Not Much!"
You get what you pay for. It was CHEAP! The lobby is nice but once you get past that there are Cig Butts on the ground everywhere. The water in the tub constantly dripped which was annoying. The cleaning crew was lackluster and the tub and toilet were like using a public restroom, dirty and smelly. The bed was fine and appeared clean. Location was very convenient for our stay. I was surprised at the number of "gentlemen's clubs" in the area. The room was clean with all the usual amenities. About half of the television stations had very poor reception. The elevator was kind of slow. the bed was extremely comfy, but i was scared to wash my hands, let alone use the toilet. i wish i had taken a picture but there was this gunky grey dirt left at the bottom of the sink that NO ONE bothered to clean up. the best part of my stay was the bed, AWESOME air conditioner (very old though but got it to 60 degrees since i love the cold), and […] when i was thirsty in the middle of the night i got up to get ice.... the machine was broken ( i dont know if it was just my floor) BUT they had a convenient soda machine with a card reader that dispensed ICE COLD water. i loved that. other than the cleanliness of the room, my night was very quiet, and enjoyed with my significant other. I went on a vacation with my family. My room looked nothing like the room they have shown online. The sign out front said they did a remodel, but I think they only remodeled the first floor. I was on the 5th floor. "Now I know what it's like to sleep in the projects"
Was lured in to this hotel because the pics look nice. It's not. I don't know how it is so highly rated. The room was dirty, moldy, smelly and has not been renovated in 30 yrs. the walls are paper thin. The AC loud and ineffective. The TV was a 20 yr old tube tv... "Noisy night"
The front lobby staff was amazing especially Ms. Georgia. The issue was how noisy the hotel actually is. People pulling on the cables in other rooms trying to clear up the televisions was kind of annoying being that we had to get up at 7am and this was going on at 2am. Not to mention the plumbing running all night that we had to shut the water off to […] the toilet. I really didn't find it very attractive for guests on the 4th floor piling Budweiser cans outside and tossing them to the 3rd floor. For the price of a one night stay you'd expect the room to be updated to current décor. Looked very dated. Ok for a short stay but not recommended for a long stay. Very convenient location close to airport and cruise ship. Shuttle from airport was hassle free as was the shuttle to the cruise ship. Bed very comfortable room needs new carpet though. "Not a great place for sleeping"
Our room was on the second floor and a rock band played below us til after 12:30! Several people complained but to no avail. Room was clean and actually nice - if you can sleep with thumping base and a screaming rocker just below you. Not a great place to sleep when you have a early morning flight. "Room does not feel like a 3-star room"
