NOT SATISFIED AT ALL. GOT THERE AND FRONT DESK CLERK DIDN'T TELL ME WHERE TO PARK, WHERE MY ROOM WAS OR ANY AMENITIES THAT THE HOTEL OFFERED. THEN GOT TO MY ROOM AND IT LOOKED DIRTY BATH TUB WAS DIRTY, FAN IN BATHROOM DIDN'T WORK SO IT WAS BAD. THE AC IN THE ROOM DIDN'T WORK PROPERLY. i ASKED FOR FOUR MORE TOWELS AND RECEIVED THREE ONLY. I WAS REALLY […] TIRED AND TRIED TO GO TO SLEEP INSTEAD BUT IT WAS HOT ALL NIGHT LONG DO TO THE AIR CONDITIONING NOT WORKING GOOD. THE NEXT MORNING I WAS STILL TIRED BECAUSE COULD NO SLEEP WELL AND I WAS FULL OF SWEAT. I THOUGHT I HAD BOOKED A ROOM AT THE WORST MOTEL IN THE WORLD. I had 3 wonderful nights at the hotel. I would have liked a balcony with the room. The room was great but the bathroom needs a fan. It takes a long time to dry especially after a hot shower. And a small fridge for keeping cold water bottles would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If I ever am in the area, I will definitely stay there again. Service was wonderful. The beds were the best. I had a great night's sleep which is unusual for me. Highly recommend staying there.
"Good for Cruisers"
We just returned after staying in the Doubletree before our cruise. It is close to the terminal and they offer free shuttle to the terminal which is excellent. The hotel itself is showing it's age and is a bit tired. There is nothing to do right around the hotel, no restaurants to walk to etc so you are a bit captive. The food was OK but not great. […] Our friends had long waits for service and only OK food. I made a run to Taget and picked up a to go supper. Breakfast buffett was again fine but nothing special. "Great Hotel, close to Disney Cruise Ship"
This hotel had the best pillows and towels I have ever stayed in. If you are going on the Disney Cruise, this is the hotel to stay at. They have a free shuttle to the port. If you are going on the Canival Splendor, it is about a 20 minute ride to that port and the shuttle is not free. "Park & Cruise Package"
We drove to San Pedro and departed on a cruise from there and wanted a hotel that would allow us to leave our car for the week as well as provide shuttle service to the ship and back on our return. Double Tree offers that service and it worked perfectly for us. Our room was very comfortable and the local amenities worked very well for us.

"Double Tree Hotel in San Pedro, CA"
After a long and exhausting trip, we got to the hotel close to 3PM but was told that the check-in time was 4PM and that the room wasn't ready. Disappointed, we drove around to kill the time and finally got to our room past 4PM. We were disappointed again when we found out that it would cost us $11.95/24 hours for internet access. Decided to take a rest […] instead but was awaken by sounds of a heavy person walking the next floor above us. There could be several people up there and the disturbance continued for about an hour off and on. We could have moved to another hotel but our stay had already been paid in full. This hotel was wonderful! The staff was very friendly and they even upgraded our room! We had a nice view of the marina and the beds were absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend the Doubletree. I give this hotel five stars!

"TOOOOO Noisy"
I was not happy with the room located next to two weddings and very noise. They did move us the next night, but also above the lobby and music played all night.

Hotel is supposed to be a Hilton, far from the The Hilton experience. Found cleaning staff an issue. If you use a towel or glass they take it but it is never replenished. By the time you leave you are on one towel and one paper cup from the coffee machine in your room. Use two bars of soap well they replace it with a little face bar. "Don't stay here before a Carnival Cruise"
We had stayed here once before and were happy enough with the hotel, since they provided a shuttle to the dock for our Princess cruise, and we were able to leave our car in their lot. This time however we took the Carnival cruise from Longbeach and we were disappointed to learn that this pier was "ourside the 5 mile area that they provide shuttle service […] to". Therefore, it cost us $60 dollars to park our car for 4 days at the pier. If we had known, we would have chosen another hotel, closer to the pier. Otherwise, the hotel is nice enough, although the hot food was cold and cold food was hot in the dining room so I don't recommend the resturaunt in the lobby. Pročitajte više
I have now stayed at the double tree twice and enjoyed both stays. My only complaint is that there is some inconsistancy vis a vis which guests get free water bottles (apparently all are supposed to, I was never offered this) and the number of towels in the room. My first stay there were no issues with the towels my second stay the number in the room […] seemed to dimminish and I went through my stay. Beautiful area, walking, restaurants & shops available. Hotel upgraded us, giving us a lovely patio. We were only disappointed that we couldn't stay here again on our return! We'll definitely stay here again.

We booked this hotel because my daughter was arriving on a US Navy ship for Fleet Week. We enjoyed the hotel stay. Our room was clean and quiet. The staff has courteous and helpful esp in the restaurant. I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a room in San Pedro.

Overall the hotel was very nice. It is in a bit of a rough neighborhood. The food in the hotel is not worth their price. Nearby (within walking distance) is Rex's Cafe. They offer healthy breakfast and lunches but no dinner. There were not many other restaurant choices in the area and it appeared that nobody delivered to the hotel if we wanted to order […] out. On Sunday night they were stripping and waxing the floors and we had to use the stairs to go to the 2nd floor to catch the elevator. This was fine for my wife and I but if someone were not able to climb the stairs it would have been a problem. Other than that the staff was very accommodating. We traveled to Catalina from San Pedro Harbor and stayed overnight in Catalina. We had a scheduled drop off but the pick up was slow and they could not get their stories straight as to why they took so long to pick us up (45 min wait). We have been at this Doubletree many times and always feel welcome. as far as hotel restaurants are concerned, this one is great with excellent service. San Pedro is a cruise center for LA and many cruise lines use this hotel. Also this is where Tahiti Airlines send their people. "Maintenance isn't in their vocab"
Walked into the room, missing the TV remote and the a/c isn't working called the front desk and they said they would send up an engineer. 4 hours later still no engineer. By now I have everything unpacked. Called front desk again, and again they stated to send up the engineer. He arrives 10 mins later and drops off the remote control for the TV and […] a remote for the a/c. Again a/c still isn't working, called front desk, who asks if I want to switch rooms. Already have everything unpacked. Asked to have the engineer come into the room and look at the a/c. He arrives says it is a fuse and will be right back, 20 mins later, comes back and a/c still not working. Says it's the circuit board that has to be replaced. Nothing he can do at this time. By now it's 9pm. So I just keep the window open, since there is a nice breeze outside. Bathroom has mold under the soap holder, paint in the room is old and the wallpaper starting to peel. had key trouble every time we left our room. My husband is disabled and had to travel down 2 long hallways to get to the elevator to go down to the desk. By the time he would get back upstairs, the keyw would be demagnitized. It was Hotel wide! Mantinance came 3 times, but when we would try the keys, they wouldn't work.

We had a wonderful stay at the Doubletree hotel. We were greeted with a friendly reception and warm yummy cookies. We were able to leave our car in their parking lot while we cruised to Hawaii. Upon our return we were picked up by a very courteous driver and delivered right to our car. We were extremely pleased at the Doubletree hotel. Beautiful lobby, comfy room. Breakfast buffet was choice of continental, which was $10, and more than adequate with choices of cereal, decent coffee, fruit, pastries. The shuttle service to our cruise was great, right on time, and they allowed us to bring my daughter and boyfriend, and their bags, no […] problem, even though they were not staying there as they are local. Pick up was equally simple, just call a phone #. I would definitely stay there again. Getting to the ship was no problem but coming back there were 3 cruise ships in at the same time. We called for pick up and were the first ones at the curb but by the time the shuttle got there people actually were rude trying to get back to the hotel first. Not sure what the solution would be. Registration desk staff was extremely helpful and courteous. However, when I checked into my room, I noticed the bathroom had not been properly cleaned (towels on floor, trash in trash can, dirty sink). I notified the staff, and they moved me into a different room, apologizing profusely. I dropped my bags into the new room, and immediately went out […] for the evening. What I didn't notice until morning was that my plumbing was in desperate need of attention (toilet didn't work). So, I'm not sure that I'd go back to this hotel for the value I received. Very little available in area without own transport, no shops or activities for children if weather is bad. Reception staff exceptional and cookies were a lovely touch.

"Fix Your Elevator"
The quality of the food was mediocre. I had to replace my key card twice in less than 12 hours because it would not unlock the door to my room. I was told cell phones could disrupt it. 1st, I didn't have it near a cell phone or any other device during my stay so that wasn't the problem. 2nd, are you kidding me? Everybody carries cell phones. Just how […] often does the hotel have to replace those cards? Its high time to update your technology. Finally, my room was on the 3rd floor. That's fine with me. Unfortunately I had to out wit an elevator every time I needed to up to the third floor. I told the front desk about the problem the second night, but it was never fixed. "Nice for the area"
If you have business in Long Beach or San Pedro, this is a good hotel to stay at. While it isn't convenient for other parts of the city, we were headed to Catalina Island so the hotel was close. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.

This hotel has probably not been renovated since 1990 and the hotel and room have a very worn feel. There was an oversized lounge type chair in my room that was absolutely disgusting. The chair was covered in stains and I was afraid to touch it. My bed was comfortable and the sheets appeared clean. The carpet in the room and hallway was old and stained. […] The bathroom was adequate, but there was only one small towel hanger and it could barely hang one towel. That meant the second towel could not hang and dry. I would not recommend this hotel. Hotel needs maintenance. Furniture in room not in good condition. Bed excellent however. Location on Marina is nice, but not close to much else. Free Wi-fi access in lobby using your own computer or use one of the two computers there. Printer available too.

"Nice room"
Good hotel. Exceeded my expectations. My only complaint and it is a minor complaint, is that the shower water did not get as hot as I would like.
