We are indeed family friendly and pet friendly as it has become more and more important for travelers. In fact, being located downtown Quebec City, it is true that the landscaping of the hotel is very limited for walking the dog. However, there are at least 3 parks in the surrounding where guests can walk their dog. They are to be found about 3 to 10 minutes walk from our hotel. For the benefit of all readers, I would like to define a little more our pet friendly policy. We actually accept well-behave pets weighing less than 80 pounds / 36 Kilos (excluding exotic animals). There are fees of $15 per night, for one or two animals, a maximum of $ 90 per week for cleaning purpose. Upon check-in, we welcome dogs with a great doggie welcome kit that includes a bottle of water, a bag of kibble food, a biodegradable serving dish, some waste pick-up bags and baked cookie treats! After check-out, we deeply clean the room and shampoo the carpet to refrain allergies. To conclude, it was a true pleasure to have you stay with us and we hope you will visit us again at the Best Western Plus City Centre Quebec for your next stop in Quebec City. We look forward to it.

The Café In, located on the ground floor of the hotel, serves high quality coffee, muffins, fruits, French style pastries like croissant, chocolate croissant, banana bread, etc., available as early as 6 am. Depending on the traveler’s skills, it can take up to 30 minutes to reach it by walk. A free elevator is located at the end of our street (de la Couronne) for you to avoid climbing some of the many hills to the Old City. Not all of us are in shape like you probably are! The walk to the Old City and Old Port is even more enjoyable. We are 15 to 20 minutes from the Convention Center, 1.2 kilometers from the train and bus station (Gare du Palais) and 2.5 kilometers from the cruise terminal. Here are some tips if you would like to visit Quebec City as a pedestrian: A free elevator is located on our street (de la Couronne) for you to avoid climbing hills to the Old City. A marked pedestrian pathway traveling around the city starts in our district on St-Joseph Street so you can discover the city from another angle. Our in house restaurant named Settimo Cielo! our “a la carte” breakfast menuis available from 7:0AM to 11:30AM, also dinner menu is available from 5:00 PM to 10:00PM. We are happy to welcome the Cafe-In (coffee shop) in our walls. This is a new roasting house and wine bar offers a selection of 20 premium coffee; in the lounge / wine bar section we offers 12 kinds of wine served by the glasse, you can also choose beers on tap and cocktail. Valet parking is 20$ per car, per night, plus all applicables taxes, in and out privileges. It was a true pleasure to have you stay with us and I am sincerely happy to know that you will visit us again with your family the next time you are in Quebec City. We look forward to it!

It takes about 20 minutes to reach the walls of the Old City from our hotel and less than 15 minutes for the return. We invite tripadvisor travelers to review our hotel description and location prior to completing the booking process since our hotel is located in Quebec City Lower Town (trendy Nouvo St-Roch district) within walking distance going uphill to Quebec Old City. Also, here’s another tip: a good way to save a few steps is to take the public transportation for about 3$ per person or sharing a taxi-cab for about 10$ to go, and then walk around and come back to the hotel by walk! Quebec City parking situation is very similar to what is happening in downtown of most of the large cities: there is more demand than parking spaces available. To accommodate our guests, we got as many spaces as possible in the surroundings some of which are located 10 minutes walking from the hotel. Valet service is available for 20.00$ per car, per night, plus taxes and your vehicle will be delivered next to the main entrance of the hotel within 15 minutes. We are 15 to 20 minutes from the Old Quebec and Convention Center, 1.2 kilometers from the train and bus station (Gare du Palais) and 2.5 kilometers from the cruise terminal. Our “a la carte” breakfast menu is available from 7:00AM to 11:30AM; also our new roasting house "Cafe-In" open from 6:30 AM, offers a selection of 20 premium coffee and bakery/pastry could be an alternative for guest who wants a light breakfast. Cora restaurant is located about 5 minutes walking distance from our hotel. Valet service is available for 20.00$ per car, per night, plus taxes and your vehicle will be delivered next to the main entrance of the hotel within 15 minutes. Our sector is becoming more and more the center-stage for the city’s artistic events and as a cultural hub. The design of this commercial artery allows visitors to discover a pleasant and innovative real life environment. Restaurants of all styles and prices in addition of a host of different boutiques are located on the popular St-Joseph Street, within five minutes walking form our hotel. Regarding transportation form airport to Quebec Downtown, only taxi can do "pick up" at Quebec Airport for a flat rate of 35$ one way. Our neighborhood is called the Nouvo St-Roch and if you do not want to use your car to travel to Old Quebec from here, it can be easily reached by foot, city bus or cab. Close to our hotel, we do have a public transportation bus terminal (in front of the library) and also two majors bus lines 800-801 located on Couronne and Dorchester Street . Bus fare is 3.00$ and travelers can buy tickets at the 24h/7 convinience store in front of the hotel on Couronne Street. We invite guest who needs information regarding public transportation Reseau de Transport de la Capitale (RTC) and/or taxi to see our Front Desk Clerk.
