great service and great hotel
"Comfortable near the airport"
This is a great hotel if you want to be near the airport. It's very big, there are often events (graduations, weddings, etc.) going on. Standard room was very big and comfortable. The bar is a nice place to relax, there's a nice swimming pool, and spa. Wouldn't recommend the pedicure for comfort (the woman sits you in a chair across from her and puts […] your foot in her lap), but the results looked good and have held up! Left my luggage there for a few days while I went to the coast and then again when I went to the Galapagos and they were perfectly accommodating and I felt that it was very secure. There's a free shuttle to the airport every hour. The downsides: service is a bit impersonal. Make sure to take note of the free drink coupon included in the envelope with your room key, I didn't see it until I was checking out! And it's a taxi ride from the Malecon / tourist area of Guayaquil. Some of the hotels.com descriptions make it sound like the rooms have individual patios - sounded too good to be true, and it was. "do not eat here"
The buffet is over priced and the service in the resturants is non existant. I normally dont eat at the hotel i am staying but there is nothing else to eat around the hotel and at night its not wise to wonder the streets too far. So make sure you eat before you return. The food is 5 times what you would pay out on the street and you can be sitting at […] the table for 20 minutres before somone helps you. Other then that its an ok hotel. Pročitajte više

IS NOT THE BEST HILTON I'VE EVER BEEN IN, BUT ITS BETTER THAN THE OTHER ONES IN TEH AREA.

THE RECEPTION DESK TAKES FOREVER TO ANSWER THE PHONE, BUT BESIDES THAT, EVERYONE REALLY MAKES AN EFFORT TO MAKE YOU FEEL CONFORTABLE.

I've stayed at the Hilton Colon twice before. It's always nice. I have never had any problems. The bar is nice (although I miss the old bar location). Pool is great. Overall great service. Rummen var moderna men trådlöst internet (wlan) fungerar inte i alla rum. Hotellet rekommenderade vid ankomsten om att man inte bör lämna hotellets område pga stor rånrisk.
