Steigenberger Airport Hotel - Frankfurt

The hotel offers good service for those requiring an airport hotel. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in terms of OK rooms and convenience to airport for those requiring an overnight stay to make forward connections. I would not consider it a good 4 star but not 5 star hotel . My major and very serious gripe is the treatment of guest who […] are non smokers. The hotel provides a small space for smokers to imbibe in their vice with a small open but ventilated area directly by the guest lifts. Being a small space, smokers and their smoke spill into the path of guest accessing the lifts. All guests must walk through a wall of smoke to get in and out of the hotel. I loved the location of the hotel. I needed a hotel close to the airport, since I had to catch a flight the next morning. The Hotel was 5 minutes away with the hotel shuttle. The shuttle ran all night, which gave us the opportunity to go downtown for a while. I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel service was slow and the food and beverages were expensive compared to other hotels in the area. The rooms were old and needed cleaning as well as updating.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and would be absolutely thrilled to choose this hotel again, should i have the opportunity. Proximity and access to the airport is fantastic. The shuttle bus that runs every 10 minutes most of the day, to the airport, is frequent and takes literally 3 to 4 minutes before you disembark at Terminal 1. the hotel […] is quiet. Huge lounge area that flows into the bar and restaurant. The rooms are great. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Full spa and fitness center. The only problem i can think of is that the restaurant food is overpriced; well, at least expensive (if you do not consider it over-priced). However, you can go back to the airport and go to the airport supermarket (interesting location for a super market) and buy juices, wine, fruit, water, etc for your room if you don't want to buy the expensive stuff at the restaurant. The facilities are very good. The bed was not comfortable and the room AC hard to get right. Room service food was poor. Take the time to go next door .

I love this hotel, but I am continually amazed at how expensive the food and beverages are in the hotel.

As always, our stay at the Steigenberger Frankfurt Airport hotel was perfect. We were in a standard room rather than the Tower, and even their basic rooms are far above the norm. Our luggage was delayed and a courteous front desk had the suitcases delivered to our room at 12:30 am (after cautiously checking with us by phone). The Steigenberger Airport Hotel is always great. Staff courteous and friendly and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. Easy access to the Airport and Frankfurt.

Very close to airport with free shuttle. Breakfast at $40 , it's not possible to find a fair value at this price. Room price was fair on a Friday night. jp msp

Room was a smoking room and stunk. The amenities were non existant. But for the price and an overnight stay its OK for me. I would not recommend if I had my wife with me.

No free wi-fi locations in the hotel, even for just printing a boarding pass; seems shortsighted.. No USA TV available, only BBC. (I'd recommend Fox News for American's, not CNN who in Europe serves up news on mainly Africa & Middle East.) The lighting in the bathroom is striking but not functionable for shaving. The hotel distance to airport was very convenient but the room wasn't very nice. The environment was not according to the picture shown, 5 stars hotel. Not worth paying such amount of money !!!

If you want good place to stay close to Frankfurt airport this is the place. Free Shuttle runs every 20 min. and the resturants and bars are excellent. The room was very small but clean and comfortable for one person. The staff and service was excellent.

Some of the basic amenities are charged seperatley - I think these should be of less cost and be included int eh room rent. Some of them are, 1. Breakfast fee 2. Internet fee 3. Carparking fee 4. No Comb or tooth paste

The location is fine if you need to stay at the airport but that is it. The room was basic with few amenities but clean. Typical nickle and dime mentality - no free internet and even connecting to a toll free number results in a surprise 3 euro charge at checkout. The resturant is good but overpriced. My wife and I were assigned a room with foam beds that sagged in the middle.I have not seen beds like that for 20 years. No springs, no foundation just 6 inches of foam that I could squeze together with one hand.

The hotel is well located for transit stay, from the airport. Shuttle often and easy to access. Beside the room rate everything is extra and very expensive

There are a lot of hotels around the Frankfurt airport and I have stayed at many over the past 15 years. However, this hotel is the finest and most consistent. Faces restaurant serves some of the finest food available anywhere in Germany.

5 star hotel with free shuttle to airport Everything was great about the quiet quality hotel near the Frankfurt Airport.

Perfect hotel for overnighting at an airport. Check in and Check out very easy and efficient and bar/restaurant open 24 hrs/day. I will definitely stay here again if I need to.

I stayed just one night. The hotel is minutes from the terminal. The free shuttle bus was on time, running every 15 minutes. Comfortable, clean room with coffee and tea. From what I could tell there are no services around the area but that was not a drawback for me. A very nice hotel indeed.

I had a great experience here from the time i checked in to the time i was dropped off at the Airport. The restauraunts were great and the food was outstanding. I am looking forward to my next visit and would definately recomend to friends. Thank you!!

I had stayed at this hotel before. When I saw the double room for the price of a single, I thought this would be a good deal. However, I ended up with a single room on a smoking floor. The room, the carpets, the pillow, the mattress were disgusting. I called and asked to be moved to another room but was told the hotel was sold out. Even after I opened […] the window the smell was so intense that I was unable to sleep and just waited until I could get a shower and get out of the hotel. You have to navigate to Terminal Hall 1A for the hotel shuttle bus's only stop at FRA. Just fine for offsite property, but not as convenient as the Sheraton at the airport, which was twice the price.

The hotel is ideally situated for early flights out of Frankfurt. It is clean and comfortable, and the casual German restaurant is very nice. Checkin-checkout can be a bit slow, but the airport shuttle is very convenient and quick.

This hotel and the buffet style restaurant Unterschweinstiege are just great: we recommend it and are looking forward to our next stay.

The room was very clean and it include most amenities. I would have loved to see an iron and an ironing board though. The furniture was quite basic, but practical. So was the bathroom. The location was very convenient, being close to the airport and being accessible through a frequent shuttle.

I consider this hotel the best in the area. It is much closer than a lot of others and has a very regular free shuttle. Although it is big the staff our still good and it set up and perfect for what it is designed for.

We chose the Steigenberger Airport Hotel because it is very close to the Airport terminals and has a free shuttle service (plenty of space, every 15 minutes) Since we were with our 13 year old son we chose a family room. While the room was nice, it was very small for three, once the sofa was turned into a third bed. The TV could only be fewed from either […] the parents bed or the childrens bed. While German hotels seldom have coffee makers, this one had at least a hot water maker and instant coffee and tee bags. Better than nothing. The hotel bar/restaurant is expensive. There is a gas station with little market about 200 meters from the hotel. The hotel is ideal if you have to return a rental car. The chuttle will pick you up afterwards. If you have more than a night you might want to live in Frankfurt city. The airport area is not that exciting. The pool area was clean and the water fresh. You have great views from there. In the pool you can turn on different water jets and a waterfall. Nice. The staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel is very clean (German). It has AC that is easy to use. The WIFI and internet is too expensive. It is a shame how German Hotels still charge prices like 20 years ago. You can get a super fast internet access with flatrate for telefon in Germany for 20 Euros, but that is what you pay for an hour in this hotel. No excuse, that is exploitation of the situation. The Hotel is convienient to the airport and to Frankfurt. The Hotel staff were quite helpful to those who have not stayed at the Steingenberger Airport hotel previously. Very nice and convienient "one-night-stay".

This is an excellent place if you are looking for a nice hotel convenient to the Frankfurt Airport. Easy to get to/from by frequent busses (every 15 mins), nice food options, very nice fitness center - thumbs up.

I had to use the internet access down at the Lobby and the charge the hotel is taken is far too high comparing to the price of the hotel room. Such high classic hotel should not charge the guests for using the internet. Further only 2 computers are in service and when I open the acces I only could use the same computer after that. Often that computer […] was occuped so I had to await until the computer was not in use of other quest. That was rather bouring to await few times in this short stay at Steigenberger Airport Hotel. The convenience of the shuttle, the friendly staff, the clean, modern facility... I'd highly recommend this hotel! Make sure you stay in the Executive tower as there is a HUGE difference in the rooms.
